Minimum Amount To Start Trading?

I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?

0.5 bit it is not enough but it is normal amount, so should try it and guess you can continue trading or not, but the result will tell you, if you can handle trading and make profit than no problem in it, But main problem is that trading is not easy as we think that, when we start it than we know trading is really difficult to make profit from it.

What if you just got lucky?
Problem is that it's really hard to accumulate BTC/money, but it's super easy to lose. Meaning that usually, you won't have lots of huge gains in a row, but if you're not careful, you can easily make one gigantic loss after another.
So, if you don't follow some basic rules in trading, you can wipe your account in a matter of minutes, no problem at all. And all the work from the previous days / weeks / months is gone.

in bitcoin you can start a business from any amount of bitcoin, because if you are going to invest your bitcoin in alts coin so there you do not need a lot of money, but you can even do trad with a little amount of money.

For a beginner 0.5 is a lot you can buy various of alt coin to trade, if you dont like to trade alt coin, you can trade bitcoin-usd, because with that amount you can earn some profit from the small movemnt of bitcoin, but remember you need to be smart when trading you can easily earn or lose your money, be careful when you want to trade alt coins

Thats good for you .well i have 0.4 invested on different altcoins still waiting about 1 month .i hoping after two months to reach my first 1BTC cause the coins i inbestednis more on long term .
0.1 is good as long as you have a money but it is good to start low first especially if they are a beginner.

As a newbie  or a starter you should  invest  only  on trading  on small  amounts   so that  you would  do it  on trial basis which you could able  to teach yourself   when you are  in the middle of trading and if you already  got the  fundamentals and  basics then try to enhance it , the  more experience  you have the better  chance  of  having  succesful trades  and when you observe that you are already doing a good job then  its the right time to extent your capital for more  profits.

Yes, predicting the market will not be definite accurate all the time, so we also need luck to make profits from trading. But, what I believe with my trading is, if we have a right skills to predict the market, then luck will automatically will join us. Yes trading has a nature of gambling  because we need luck to get high profit. So i agree with you its better to start a small amount that we can afford to lose. So when i start trading i start 0.03 bitcoin i roll it like gambling for me to earn a big amount now the 0.03 btc is .6 btc now so i got lucky then because i choose a good coin where i can roll my money.

Not really luck but more like a pump. It doesnt rely on luck. It rely on people that will buy it or make use of it. That is how you will profit from that. It is way too different than gambling

Well, 0.5 is a small amount and i think you can not do anything with it. Try multiply it 10 times, 5 is more acceptable and you can also avoid many risk when you start with this amount. This is my opinion, you may not like

Wow ,your such a good trader chief ,i don't earn it yet on trading even 1 btc is too hard for me .i have many experience as well as skills i learned from my mistakes. but now as i change my stratedgy ,i am hoping in long trades as many traders i know got a big profit there .

1btc is very risky and a big amount to invest in trading and i guess your rich enough on trading so you only see 1btc as minimum investment. As the average investors like me about 0.5 is enough to start.

investing in adverts are not what i call trading anyway if you are talking about bitcoin or altcoin trading then i will say 0.05btc is enough or if needed you can lower it more upto 0.02btc but if you are talking about sites like localbitcoin then i will say minimum of 200$ is needed
