Yes we will be offering bounties for translations, but will wait till the roadmap is posted.

A update to the wallet is in the works, and propose that very little change what is already there, but open to ideas on what could be put into the next wallet update.  The first wallet update will not affect the blockchain and will not force any changes to their current wallet unless it is for security, meaning our new wallet will be compatible with the old wallet.

Also lets get voting at https://novaexchange.com !

any translation bounties?

can the dev respond to this?

How many connections in your wallet?

The blockchain is usually good at updating at a decent pace.

I can prepare bootstrap for dukester to put on the website, or I can post one here if your wallet is updating really slow.

Unzip file into your %appdata%\SpaceCoin directory (Windoze) or ~/.spacecoin  (linux) and start (or restart the wallet) the wallet will load the blockchain data from the bootstrap.dat file.

Yes, this coin was started in Aug 2015, and dev left shortly thereafter.

Dukester and others are reviving the coin since it had and still has a good following.

Still PoW/PoS it is in the Title, and mining pools listed in OP.

It is a Scrypt Algo.

Same.

My wallet wouldn't update. I downloaded the bootstrap and since then my wallet just freezes. I can't tell what it's doing so I gave it some time and just closed it. I had to force close it too. I mined it for a few hours but since I can't seem to get my wallet working I guess I'll move on.

We are working on all aspects of this coin and don't want to rush it and put out anything sub par.
Only added the new [ann] so we could start by being able to post the new information on space coin.
Check back soon and I am sure you will see plenty of progress.

Exact same. Downloaded bootstrap. client will freeze until it just says fuck off epyx and closes. Have deleted the chain and bootstrap and attempted to sync but like 70% through client will freeze and crash. Have attempted with bootstrap, normal sync. removed everything including my wallet.dat in case it was jacked and still hangs/crashes. Will watch the thread and attempt again if theres a new client in the future.

For those that are having freezing problems with the wallet please post what Operating System you are using.

I am running the full wallet on Linux (Ubuntu 14.04), Windows 7, and Windows 8.1.  I will load it on Windows 10 to see how it runs also.
I am also running it on Linux as a daemon.

Please supply a little more info when reporting the problem.  The wallet was released back in Aug/Sep 2015.  I have been running this wallet since then.  The biggest issue I have is when there are large amounts of small transactions or entries in the wallet.

Updated wallet is in the works.

What I've noticed on Windows 7 64bit SP1 is that is uses a lot of resources while syncing.
I don't have this problem on Ubuntu 14.04

In both cases I used the QT wallet.

You point out something I noticed with several coin wallets that I use, that they don't run as efficiently in Windows as they do on Linux.

I don't think it is particularly a Windows issue, I believe it is linked to the libraries used in the compiling are not Windows optimized.  If anyone has some insight on this it would be greatly appreciated, so that new releases could benefit from better performance on Windows.

This could be a Windows 7 issue, I'm syncing the wallet now on Windows 10 64-bit and CPU levels are below 50%. Memory and disk usage are normal. I'll report back when the wallet is completely synced.

Finally!

Wallet is back online on YObit.  You can now deposit and withdraw your SPACE coins.

I am hoping to see the coin recover to a proper stable price above 200 sats for sure.  There is no reason why this coin should not grow over 1000 sats and higher in the future as the new updates come out.  But, I am biased, I like this coin. Smiley

We hope that ppl continue to submit votes on NovaExchange https://novaexchange.com/addcoin/  and Cryptopia: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Vote

Having more than one exchange for the coin is better than relying on a single exchange to set the price/value of the coin.

In 3 - 6 months as the promoting efforts of the coin grow we can look at listing on the bigger exchanges.

Original dev long gone... about 3 weeks after the coin launch.

We are a group of coin holders that for whatever reason, have or are trying to revived the coin.  The coin has survived almost a year with no dev, so why not keep it going!

It has a theme that can have a lot of different roads of development.

Join the fun!

Hello Dev(s)

I have an performance issue with the Windows wallet. At first I thought it was because the wallet needed to sync. But with a fully synced wallet the wallet uses a lot of CPU.
I believe this is because of the staking mechanism.
When staking is enabled the wallet uses a lot of CPU. It doesn't matter how many cores I assign to the VM it always is above 70%.
With staking turned off it behaves like any other coin.
I don't have this problem with other POS or Hybrid coins on Windows and when I'm running the wallet on Ubuntu 14.04.
Is there anything I can do to reduce the CPU usage on Windows with staking turned on?

I don't have this problem with other POS or Hybrid coins on Windows and when I'm running the wallet on Ubuntu 14.04.
Is there anything I can do to reduce the CPU usage on Windows with staking turned on?

Have same problem with most of my wallets (newer wallets). One of the reasons all online wallets are on diff pc :/ don't think its a problem with the wallet or the code but the newer dependencies.

Hello Dev(s)

I have an performance issue with the Windows wallet. At first I thought it was because the wallet needed to sync. But with a fully synced wallet the wallet uses a lot of CPU.
I believe this is because of the staking mechanism.

I have witnessed similar on SPACE and other PoS wallets.  It is one of the issues I am looking into to fix in a future release.
I have a wallet running on Windows that was used for mining payouts, the wallet had over 15000 entries in the Receive Address.  The wallet was completely unusable because of the Qt wallet was always unresponsive.  I managed to get the address down to 3000 entries and it is still most of the time unresponsive, and the cpu usage as much as is available (but appears to be a single thread, so only one cpu is used).

My ideas or fix options are:
 - include in the wallet a utility to manage the coinbase entries per address (merge, split, move, etc).
 - find the code in the wallet causing the heavy usage (suspect most of it is Qt related).
 - switch to Offline PoS (would require Masternodes)
 - new form of staking.

Thanks for replying midnight_miner. Is POS on or off on that Windows wallet?
I wonder if the wallet would become responsive if POS is turned off.
I have less than 3000 entries in one wallet and with POS turned on the wallet itself wasn't unresponsive. Sometimes it took a bit longer to go to a specific section (+/- 30 sec.) but never unresponsive, just CPU usage of 70% or above.

This is with PoS enabled, however I am doing tests with this wallet to track performance issues, PoS, non-Pos, Qt wallet and daemon only.  So more details as the test and development continues.

Space Coin Twitter Campaign

We are putting the final touches on the the Twitter Campaign.

To prepare for the campaign make sure you are following @space_coin on your Twitter account so that you do not miss out on any of the ReTweets.
https://twitter.com/space_coin

The Rules and Regulations, guidelines... will be posted at the start on http://spacecoin.info before the start of the campaign.  To make the tracking easier for the rewards, you will need to register your Twitter account name and you Space Address on our website.

Basically the campaign will reward you for retweeting @space_coin tweets and a reward for you original tweets about SpaceCoin based on content and not more that one original tweet in 7 days.  We don't want to see a bunch of Twitter spam.

Let's have some fun!

DO NOT POST YOUR SPACE ADDRESS IN THIS FORUM!!!
It is against the BitCoinTalk forum posting rules.

A quick update on the upcoming Twitter Campaign.

We haven't started the campaign yet, as I am setting up an Electrum wallet for those that want to participate and collect Space Coins without installing a full wallet and waiting for the blockchain to sync.

How does the Electrum wallet work?
Here is the documentation for the Bitcoin version on the wallet.
http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/

I will post the documentation for the Space Coin version soon on http://spacecoin.info as soon as the service is ready.

Typically no, they do not stake.  In the roadmap we can add a staking pool if an existing staking pools does not support SpaceCoin, or I can look into added staking payout rewards to the Electrum wallet in the future.

I need some input from community members more literate in Chinese than I am...

Looking a for a good translation of Spacecoin to Chinese (Traditional and Simplified).

My thoughts on the ideal name was:

太空币 = 'outer space coin'  but this is already listed as SpaceCredits (TPC) http://www.xnbzg.com/market.html?symbol=17

So far I have found coins already listed in either Japanese or Chinese with the following names:

宇宙币 CosmosCoin  (CMC) http://www.btc38.com/altcoin/general/90.html

恒星币 Stellar Coin (XLM)

I did not find anything listed with the following name:

深空币 = universe coin / deep space credits / Space Coin?

So anyone with a better understanding of Chineses, Japanese, etc. that could give an opinion if the following name works in Asian cultures, and I am not going to insult or say something stupid?

深空币 Space Coin (SPACE)

Thank you.  谢谢  ありがとう

On Yobit - Wallet status: Maintenance

Not again!!!

Our blockchain is healthy, and I have not heard from YObit if there are issues with the wallet code.

Looks like Space will be on NovaExchange soon.  This is a new exchange with small volume, but it is an alternative until we see listings on other exchanges.

Is anyone else trading on Cryptopia or Bleutrade?  Or any other suggestions?

We still have more growth ahead of us before we see listings on Bitrex or Poloniex.

I asked Yobit about this yesterday and they said:

"The solution to this cryptocurrency will take some time, need to update the wallet.
We apologize for any inconvenience."

I wonder what's taking them so long because the wallet has been in maintenance since last sunday maybe even earlier.
I'll see if I can post a ticket again tomorrow, maybe others from the space coin community could do so too.

We'll see how long this takes...

Space pool is back online.  http://pool.midnightminer.net

The pool wallet corrupted it's copy of the blockchain when it ran out of disk space.  It is re-sync'd and back online.

I tried out the newer exchanges that have SPACE listed.

NovaExchange interface is working well.  A few have started listing Space on the exchange. (exchange fee is 0.20%)
https://novaexchange.com/market/BTC_SPACE/

MegaCrypton is another story.  The interface still needs some work to improve the user experience.  I put some Space coins on the exchange, but things a still quiet on this exchange.  If the operators continue to improve the interface there is a chance the exchange may catch on. (exchange fee 0.15%)
https://live.megacrypton.com/market/46

I am hoping we can still get on Cryptopia and my next target would be BlueTrade as the next exchange.  Both of these exchanges should give the coin better exposure.

Hello devs, any news from yobit?

Support tickets are in and I have not had a response from admins at YObit.

Not having the coin Deposit/Withdrawal working, is holding up our coin promotions.

I have a request into Bleutrade for listing Space and waiting to here back from Bleutrade.
We have votes in a Cryptopia, but this does not seem to be a popular exchange as not many people are voting for the coin here.

Spacecoin is currently listed on NovaExchange and MegaCrypton.

There is some trading happening on NovaExchange.  So these exchanges will need to be our focus for trading until we can get onto more exchanges.

YObit has experienced many wallet issues with numerous coins for the last 6 months.  I don't know how to interpret that as an exchange with too much growth, lack of resources to handle operations, or is there instability in their platform?  We cannot continue to rely on an exchange that holds coins hostage and required payment to fix wallets everytime the wallet is in maintenance we it is not a wallet code issue.

Please leave comments on which of these exchanges you feel is a better move going forward.

I personally think Cryptopia would be the better option and I'm voting there too. If I have to choose between NovaExchange and MegaCrypton, I would go for NovaExchange. I have no experience with MegaCrypton. So how do we get prices at the same level they are on Yobit (and even higher)?

yobit wallet down ?

When did they list SPACE coin there? If their wallet is offline, you need to wait for more time than other exchanges. They take more time to get wallet working again.

Yea, we just went thru this a month  ago.
Just opened another ticket and asked what the problem with the wallet is. The wallet should be fine.

We are trying to get listed at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Vote and are currently trading at https://novaexchange.com

Yes.  A quick rule of thumb is if you have around 10-25% of the Net Hashing power you could successfully solo mine using your wallet.  It would be based on the amount of coins rewarded and the value of the coin.

Looking at the block explorer http://space.midnightminer.net/ I see a Network Hash of ~27 MH/s, so if you have a 5-10 MH/s ASIC Scyrpt miner you could solo mine and win blocks.  Is it profitable... that depends at what you can sell the coin at and your operating costs (cost of equipment + electricity).

thanks for your reply. I guess I should have mentioned that I wanted to cpu solo mine. I'm pretty sure 5-10 MH/s is way above anything that my cpu could produce.... right?

Yes. If all you have is CPU's to mine with, you can use MinerGate and mine Monero and Ethereum Classic and other coins on your computer or laptop.

The API allows for many altcoins to be transferred to other digital assets instantly, with no account needed.

I won't promise anything like that yet, but we are working on some 'outer space' / 'deep space' / 'space projects' type ideas for the next coming months.

The solution to this cryptocurrency will take some time, need to update the wallet.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Not sure how long "will take some time" really is...

why this coin is to the  bottom? Sad

I don't know if it is the bottom. I hope it is.  But this coin is, for the most part, stable in the price.  It is not a Pump and Dump coin, there are a couple of people I know of that are monitoring this type of behavior and they do a great job of not letting this coin become a victim of the YObit P&D club.

There are a few ideas kicking around for the coin, that will add value and purpose to the coin.  People can choose to be spectators (sometimes called 'investors') or you can be active in the development in the coin project.

Are you referring to them marketing program of Coin Space?

This project is in no way connected or similar.  This is a cryptocurrency project, not a marketing scheme.

What kind of staking % have people got in a month ? A month is max. Is it also better to lock the wallet for 30 days or not ?

How much max total suply this coin?

Block explorer http://space.midnightminer.net/ shows 15746243 coins as the current supply. This is a pos coin so supply will increase.
Not sure if there is a limit. Maybe midnight miner can clarify.
All the coins info is located at the main website http://spacecoin.info

Block explorer http://space.midnightminer.net/ shows 15746243 coins as the current supply. This is a pos coin so supply will increase.
Not sure if there is a limit. Maybe midnight miner can clarify.
All the coins info is located at the main website http://spacecoin.info

The maximum supply set in the source code is 100M, as shown in main.h here:
Code:
static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIZE = 1000000;
static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIZE_GEN = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/2;
static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIGOPS = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/50;
static const unsigned int MAX_ORPHAN_TRANSACTIONS = MAX_BLOCK_SIZE/100;
static const unsigned int MAX_INV_SZ = 50000;
static const int64_t MIN_TX_FEE = 10000;
static const int64_t MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE = MIN_TX_FEE;
static const int64_t MAX_MONEY = 100000000 * COIN;            <<<<<<============== HERE IS MAX SUPPLY
static const int64_t YEARLY_BLOCKCOUNT = 525600;  // 60 * 24 * 365

https://github.com/midnight-miner/spacecoin/blob/master/src/main.h#L34

At the current mining and staking rate and including the halving of rewards it will take 10 - 20 yrs to reach the max supply.

Coins with a long term growth strategy will most like be the coins that will continue to grow in value and adoption.

That is the plan anyway...

Anything new from Space Coin? Been away from the thread for a while.

Not a lot on the surface, but there are things going on in the background.

@dukester99
 -  is woking on updates on the website.
 - has added funding to the faucet at https://poswallet.com/faucet.php
 - set up a bounty for Chinese translation

As for me, I am working on other coin projects, mostly updating to core 0.10, once those other projects are complete I will be updating Space wallet with some new and fun stuff that I worked on.

We have some interesting ideas to integrate into Space.  It just takes a little time to get things developed into a state for release.

I was thinking of suggesting Masternodes for Space Coin, however, every coin seems to be jumping on the the Mastenode craze.

So I will wait this out and possibly come up with a different technology to help grow Space Coin.

Yea Something new would be nice.
Segwit is all the rage right now. Maybe it is something besides the coin tech.
Space really is a solid coin right now.
I still like the idea of a space faucet for loyalty rewards programs for websites. Have to think outside the box on this one.

When humans start to colonize other worlds space coin would make a perfect currency solution!

Just notived space coin is listed at cryptocompare.com. Nice website with a lot of info on coins. I looked at spacecoins timeline and seen this.

https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/space/timeline/BTC

Ƀ 0.00009997 - 2016 SPACE - BTC HIGH!

The highest daily close in for the SPACE - BTC pair - Ƀ 0.00009997 was recorded on Monday, 04 July 2016. If you happened to trade SPACE - BTC on Monday, 04 July 2016, we hope you were on the right side of the trades.

I don't think I have ever seen a coin move like this. That was a good 4th of July!

I genuinely think bittrex would have an open ear for you. They're not just ETH token ICOs and "major" multi-million dollar coins. They used to list low-caps too. Bittrex also has a serious love for stake coins and legacy coins.

I just saw this coin and I find it intriguing as it is fascinating. Are there any bounties still available for this coin? I would like to try this and have some coins so I can mine it.

Can someone tell me how to do mining for this coin? What software is needed and what steps to undertake? Thank you. I am interested on this coin and would be willing to learn more so I can earn this through bounties or mining.

This coin is based on Scrypt algo, you would need a Scrypt miner (or sometines referred to as a Litecoin miner) to mine this coin effectively.

I am not sure if we will see $100 a coin this year, but I maybe $0.01 to $0.10 is probably.

Updates are coming this fall, just tied up on other projects at the moment.

Midnight Miner should be able to answer better than me but right now we are at 16 coin reward right now with POS. It halved last August I believe.

The rewards halve every year roughly in the month of August.  PoW is 8 SPACE and PoS is 16 SPACE.

Thanks, but for those of us who only have been exposed to percentages when describing staking rewards, 32 coins means almost nothing.  I mean, I don't know if that means around 5% a year, or around 50% a year.

If this coin has high enough staking rewards, it will be better adopted.

The wallet crashed at random times while syncing.

Tbo I've experienced this with other coins so nothing new there.  Once in sync it's been solid.

I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

I like the way this coin holds up when all the alts are red. We need to get into the top 100 Rankings at coinmarketcap!

Just out of curiosity what's with the weird mining reward of 10.66686666?

I understand the block reward is 5.33353333.
Every so often I wind up mining a 10.666... value block.

Not that I am complaining... but why is that?

Fully agree with meccaflare0, great blockchain and model but all the web design is very weak, website also not in SSL and not mobile responsive.

A new category about the "Team" behind SPACE and its ambitions/vision should also bring much more trust in this project.

And more regular communication would be essential in order to animate/built a large SPACE community.

We are all here to help if needed, we could see a +100M market cap in 2018 if some basic efforts are done.

On my side I'm ready to donate xxxxx coins to the dev team if a new and pro website is launched.

Transactions are free, I scooped some for testing, sending back and forth. Going to keep the coin see how things progress.

If dogecoindark can become verge anything is possible

Hi,

Forgive me if this a stupid question, but I came across SpaceCoin through wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof-of-space)

Is spacecoin a Proof of work or proof of Capacity/Space. I wonder because I find Proof of Capacity/Space interesting. I see that OP stated it as POW/POS, is this a combination? If so, how does it work. On the coin's website, I could not find the info i was looking for.

Cheers,

The Spacecoin website is back up! If you haven't visited the website I suggest you do. One of the nicest looking crypto websites! http://spacecoin.info

Not to be rude or anything but any chance of modernizing and updating the website?  i'm trying to shill it to a group and people are suspicious since it hasn't been changed since 2016.  Also, could there be dates added to the roadmap to make it look more professional?  Perhaps a rebrand?  If you could do these things I can see it going quite far.

Sure, I am working on editing the roadmap now. Been spending time trying to get listed @ new exchanges, since nova exchange is shutting down and promotional. The core of the site still looks good but will edit the roadmap and verify existing copy, exchanges ect.. I kind of like the spacecoin coin logo. Anyone have a different design? I still see the original logos from three years ago online sometimes!

Well done dukester99 !

*** May be the "Copyright Space Coin 2016" at the bottom could be modified in "Copyright Space Coin 2016-2018"

*** I also think the coin is nice

*** the text part of the logo is however to be adapted IMO, with a more modern typo.

What about something like this for your website header/logo ?

I have edited the spacecoin website http://spacecoin.info

- Edited existing exchanges
- New header logo (thank you Picsou69)!
- Edited copyright date on footer 2016 - 2018

If there are any new pools that work for mining space let me know and will get the listed on the ANN and website.

Also edited the ANN to reflect the new info.
Still working on a revised roadmap

We are still offering 20000 space coin for Russian or German translation of Space Coins bitcointalk.org Announcement page.
(please PM me if interested)

Seems that the most important goal now is to get listed at new exchanges .
Novacoin is gone and yobit will not respond to the wallet being in maintenance mode (seems like forever).
Volume is building with space but it has been a problem to get listed on a reputable exchange.

Probably only a couple hundred coins is all you need.  keep then in one group to get the weight to stake more often.

When you get into the 10k - 100k of coins then you can group them into blocks to receive consistent staking.

Me and midnight miner have sent multiple emails to get it resolved.
Could help if everyone inquired on what the problem is and please pull the wallet out of maintenance.

You don't have to pay any fee to move between wallets, correct? If so, this is definitely the second Raiblocks here. Also, must set up a reddit for this coin.

Can you or someone you know to contact Yobit to put their SPACE wallet out of maintenance, this is unbelievable, how can we support SPACE if it keeps doing this.

Theres a lot of talk on here about spacecoin being private with no transaction fees. Is this true? I looked all over the website without any reference to free transactions, can someone provide a link? I mean, its on the website slider but the link doesn't go anywhere, there's only 2 other coins that offer this (that I know of) so I just thought there'd be a bit more noise about it than one sentence with a broken link....

Can have zero fees if the Tx size is small.  But larger Txs have fees.

My first impression really is that there are no coins that claims have no transactions. I think every coin must have a transaction fee whenever you send small or big amounts. Can you cite an example wherein we can have a NO transaction coin for every transaction it would be free?

Did some testing. Apparently there is always a fee of .0001 space for transactions no mater how small. I tried sending from 10 space to .1 space. So I guess we can put the no fees to rest now.

Fees do seem low though.

Tried some more transactions - Sending 100,000 space the fee is .0004 spacecoin. Sending 500,000 space coin will cost you .02 spacecoin in fees

 GOOD NEWS!
Looks like novaexchange.com is back in business with new owners! Good exchange for Space coin as cryptopia and yobit make there wallet corrections. Here is a email I received.

Honored customer, we have very good news.
(By the way, this is the first message of three that you might receive in this matter)

Last year, we made the tough decision to close down Nova, because it was growing so fast that we could not keep up and run the service in a proper and secure way.

But, we never stopped looking for a way to keep Nova in business.

We are very happy to announce that we have found new owners, that have the resources and the experience it takes (6+ years in crypto) to provide even more excellent service to you all.

All you need to do to keep using Nova, right now, and later on, is to log in and approve the updated Terms of Service, here https://novaexchange.com/

Best Wishes to you all, and happy crypto trading.

Be careful. I have sent my node list to Cryptopia about 10 days ago and they took the wallet out of maintenance, though it is still unsynched and still has 0 connections:

That means you will not be able to deposit until the wallet has connections and has finished synching.

Problem is there is currently only one (!) listening node in the network as I see it, if somebody can sponsor a public node that would certainly improve the overall situation.

This is what I get when I send coin. "Status: 5/unconfirmed, broadcast through 16 nodes"

block explorer shows 24 connections

What needs to be done to "sponsor a public node" ? I thought staking the wallet provided enough nodes. What are we paying these people for? !LOL

I stand corrected, my node shows currently 25 connections of which 4 are listening (public) nodes. That should do it, though more listening nodes would be nice.
For a public node you either have to forward tcp port 9172 to the ip of the computer where your spacecoin wallet runs or run it on a public ip straight away.

Cryptopia seems still to be stuck on block 0...

Two of my SPACE nodes died yesterday upon receiving block # 1405731 at ~09/01/18 03:27 GMT.

Seeing my network connections now down from ~25 to ~6 I suspect this happened to others as well.
Spacecoin explorer stopped working around the same time.

That block # 1405731 seems now accepted in the chain and I wonder what might have caused the nodes to stop/crash. If this is reproducable it could be nicely abused to DoS the SPACE network.

Not sure why the nodes dropped off.
Mine where down yesterday but it is usually attributed to spectrums internet service going down or just acting flaky.

I do not believe that this was coincidence. Cryptopia's wallet is down too (though can't say if that is since the same point in time):

Also both of my nodes are in different locations, on different networks with redundant uplinks and both's debug.log ends exactly with the same line:

I do not believe that this was coincidence. Cryptopia's wallet is down too (though can't say if that is since the same point in time):

My spacewallet on cryptopia looks good. (ahh I also see no connections now/)My wallet is showing 12 active nodes. I have forwarded this info to midnight miner to see if he can make some sense of it.

Also both of my nodes are in different locations, on different networks with redundant uplinks and both's debug.log ends exactly with the same line:

Code:
received block 00000000023f27205c86
SetBestChain: new best=00000000023f27205c86  height=1405731  trust=29474282056660516  blocktrust=466087502913  date=09/01/18 03:27:08
ProcessBlock: ACCEPTED

<quite a few linefeeds and then my watchdog restarted the wallets:>

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, meanwhile I also got exactly 12 connections on both nodes, though my nodes show a POW diff of ~10 right now which seems wrong to me (it should be at least 10times more as it has been in the past weeks).
I will mine a few blocks to see if they persist.

With the General fall of the market, it is immediately evident that the project SPACE is low activity. I think many simply on the sly buy SPACE coin, to wait future growth.

My impression really is that there are no coins that claims have no transactions. I think every coin must have a transaction fee whenever you send small or big amounts. Can you cite an example wherein we can have a no transaction coin for every transaction.

Good news. Spacecoin on cryptopia has 8 connections and is back in business! 17 nodes running the wallets. We are still looking for a new exchange. Any ideas where there is a reputable exchange we can get listed at?

Great news, thank you for taking care of it!

Regarding exchanges: I liked coinexchange.io and nlexch.com so far and made personally good experiences with both. But as they say YMMV and they are probably both too expensive to get listed there.

SPACE COIN is still alive and still supported.

Things are quiet, but not dead, for certain.

I am hoping that the market will pick up again, so we can see more innovations in the future.

Yobit also has SPACE listed, though I would strongly recommend against trying to deposit there, a majority of wallets is not working at Yobit, best to avoid them completely.

Novaexchange also has SPACE listed but they still do not accept new users yet, so for the moment your only choice might be to withdraw to your own SPACE wallet and hope for better times..

I wonder if any of the devs have been approached by 'topia before delisting..

I have submitted a ticket to Cryptopia about the delisting.  It seems very sudden that they would delist the SPACE coin.

We will look for other exchanges to list the coin.  YObit is the last on the list, they have a lot of coins hostage on their exchange, and not just SPACE.

We will keep you up to date on what is happening.

After receiving this from cryptopia it appears that we are better off finding new exchanges . The crypto world has changed and looks like a team of lawyers are required. Sad that it has come to this. We are actively looking for a new home for our coin. I believe the actual date of desisting is 11 November 2018

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the delisting of SpaceCoin. Cryptopia is delisting SpaceCoin as it no longer adheres to our strict ethical, legal and technical standards outlined in our Listing Policy which is located here for your information: https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=5d7482d2db9e9bc032a664a14a96199f We are committed to providing our users with a safe platform to trade cryptocurrencies and in order to maintain our strict security protocols and reduce risks to users we occasionally delist coins from the exchange as per our Delisting Policy located here: https://support.cryptopia.co.nz/csm?id=kb_article&sys_id=b8aa010ddb452b80d7e096888a961934 As per the delisting policy, Cryptopia reserves the right to remove projects that no longer comply with our listing requirements. We have determined that SpaceCoin falls within the Delisting criteria and will be fully delisted on 09/11/2018. We have now closed trade markets; disabled deposits and we encourage all users to withdraw any balances to a personal wallet or alternative exchange at their earliest opportunity. Account holders with a SpaceCoin balance must have withdrawn their coins to a private wallet or alternative exchange prior to 09/11/2018. Following this date the wallet will be fully removed and Cryptopia will be unable to recover any balances that were remaining. We appreciate that this can cause some frustration, but our highest priority will always be to ensure our users' security. To discuss the requirements to prevent the delisting further please contact our wallets team on coinwallets@cryptopia.co.nz

The SpaceCoin project will continue to progress with or without Cryptopia exchange.  Although this does affect the liquidity of the coin we will continue to look at options to keep the coin liquid.

With so many scams and opportunists out in the crypto market, the exchange's listing requirements are getting tighter and more demanding to protect their customers.  It also means that it will become more expensive and burdensome to the developers of real cryptocurrency projects to  keep the crypto on the market.

I think the days of community supported new coins and technologies are disappearing, and only profit driven projects will continue.

The wallet on Yobit is not able to generate new addresses.
Best option since Cryptopia has delisted; is to xfer into a local wallet until a new exchange is found.
It's looking like a DEX type would be best.

Good news all you space cadets! Space Coin has a new home and is trading at AltMarkets.cc!

Now this is a new exchange and hope we have a long relationship with them.
I was unable to find out any negative info on this exchange but as always be careful and
store your spacecoins in your wallet for long term storage and staking.
This is not the end of the battle, we still are looking for additional exchanges to list Space.
Long live Space Coin!

SPACE / BTC Last: 0.00000125 in Yobit

I just received a email from Nova Exchange that they are ready for trading and does look to have Space Coin listed!
Bad news is no trading for USA customers yet.
But hey it is another exchange and we do have another exchange in the works.
This should be enough to get us back on coinMarketcap.com

Exchanges are getting slim. Welcome to ideas.
Yobit isn't going to cut it with the wallet needing service and they wont respond anymore.
If anyone can steer us in the right direction to get space listed at another exchange we will do our best.

As with most coins anyone in the community can do whatever they want. It is all of our coins.
If anyone wants to help the coin out by attempting to get listed in other exchanges have at it.

To me the website is important to get back up and am working on that. Even posting on the facebook page would help a lot.

Does anyone work on a coin? I do not see any progress, there are not even any posts on Twitter and Facebook, not to mention the website. You are now not even at Coinmarketcap. What are your future plans? Do they even exist? If you are going to develop this project, then you just need to get together. And if not, just say it's over. Why continue the pointless agony?

Hello all.

So spacecoin continues to gain followers on facebook every day.
Our developer is mia and looking for someone to assist in reviving this coin to its former glory.

- We need a developer to update the code

- A new website. Looks like spacecoin.info is currently taken.

- A block explorer

- Somewhere to mine the coin.

- Most importantly  exchanges besides yobit.

I am surprised there is this much interest the coin is showing on facebook and am wondering if it is trading somewhere we are not aware of.

Think the twitter account is still active and discord.
I am willing to help out but cant do it all myself. Spacecoin is a legacy coin, has good name recognition.

Send me messages try our facebook page that is still active
