I will update within the next 24hours at github.

This options must be set direct on bmminer.conf, to prevent hardware errors.

TODO:
GHs Stats for Chain
Temp for chain and chip

I had many problems and working many hours, but there is no way at moment to find out how to get these stats, for me!
https://github.com/bitmaintech/bmminer/issues

p.s. If you use the new build and did not set

-bitmain-freq1
-bitmain-freq2
-bitmain-freq3

the miner will choose for chain 1/2/3 the same mhz!!!

each time you send a transaction don't forget to use a new address, each time you receive one also!

Would that apply to your work?

No, sorry and thx.

The problem is here:

Line 4727: https://github.com/bitmaintech/bmminer/blob/master/driver-btm-c5.c

this: dev->chain_asic_temp[2][0]
Code:
    for(i = 0; i < BITMAIN_MAX_CHAIN_NUM; i++)
    {
        char temp_name[12];
        sprintf(temp_name,"temp%d",i+1);
        root = api_add_int16(root, temp_name, &([b]dev->chain_asic_temp[i][2][0][/b]), copy_data);
    }

this is not working, they confused with their code, many functions are not in use or if in use it did not work like this here and that:
chain_asic_temp[2][1]

Code:
    for(i = 0; i < BITMAIN_MAX_CHAIN_NUM; i++)
    {
        char temp2_name[12];
        sprintf(temp2_name,"temp2_%d",i+1);
        root = api_add_int16(root, temp2_name, &(dev->chain_asic_temp[i][2][1]), copy_data);
    }

and this is also not working: dev->temp_top1

Code:
 root = api_add_int(root, "temp_max", &([b]dev->temp_top1[/b]), copy_data);

and this: displayed_rate

Code:
    for(i = 0; i < BITMAIN_MAX_CHAIN_NUM; i++)
    {
        char chain_rate[16];
        sprintf(chain_rate,"chain_rate%d",i+1);
        root = api_add_string(root, chain_rate, [b]displayed_rate[i][/b], copy_data);
    }

this is the output of: bmminer-api -o stats
Code:

Um, maybe you should get together with patrike the author of Awesome Miner monitoring software? He seems to have cracked the coding for BMminer as Awesome Miner correctly reports board and chip temps.

I LOVE the setting speed per-board idea. Lets us optimize per-board for performance and temps Smiley

Um, maybe you should get together with patrike the author of Awesome Miner monitoring software? He seems to have cracked the coding for BMminer as Awesome Miner correctly reports board and chip temps.

I LOVE the setting speed per-board idea. Lets us optimize per-board for performance and temps Smiley

on my mintorro I also had the problems to get the bmminer stats into, but that problem has nothing to do with the main generation of the stats.

thx

each time you send a transaction don't forget to use a new address, each time you receive one also!

Hi there.

Please help me to restore original bmminer. Unfortunately can't use miner without temp monitoring, so will waiting for that.

But can't understand how to downgrade cgminer...

Thanks

Can you not just flash it again from the file on bitmains website under the "support" section?

Sure, but there are no firmware for S9 miner

That might pose a problem  Huh

Strange how the new S9's come out with firmware that auto-adjusts to find the optimum frequency for each hashboard just like what has been done by a member on here 🤔

It is not exactly true. Based ony kernel log it looks that each board has factory-programmed each chip's frequency. Final frequency showed in status is average freq for the whole board.

Does the Bmminer-cgminer492 firmware support latest batch S9 with xilink SoC based controllers?

Thread seems to have gone quiet since they were released?

Looks like there is an update to the to the S9 driver on github back on Nov 30th, 2016.

https://github.com/bitmaintech/bmminer/commit/b5de92908498590d96d333a1e2570eab0eb321d3

Fubly, do you plan on updating your repo to reflect these changes?

fubly account is hacked. Now I use my domain name as user.

And No! I do not add all the changes to my build.

If you want stats and not money. Use the orig firmware from bitmain. I optimized the driver for the first generation of S9
over 300 hours and killed by this way 2 x S9.

The source by bitmain is a disaster at all. I have a build now for all Xilinx board and also without stats.

If you want to see the stats then use your pool. There are the stats.

If you have problems with the temp than cool better. The miner stops mining at high temps automatically it is implemented inside the chip!

If you have a problem with the noise
  1. Stop mining
  2. unplug one fan

optimized the driver
Let me tell you one thing about more hash power from S9.

The original firmware by bitmain is talking many times to the controller board like this.

Ever 50 microseconds: Hey what temp does chip 1 have and so on to 63
then the driver asks many other bullshit questions.

Within this time is it not possible for the bullshit controller to make his job: Sending answers what the asic chips find out!

You don't belief it?

login via ssh and activate the debug mode. Then you see how the hashrate drops!

If you want to get out more then 15% up to 25% contact me but only if you have 100 miners or more.
I'm not willing to spend more time without any cent. Sorry!
