couldn't find in your site: is your casino provably fair?

Thank you for your question BRules. As our games come from the traditional igaming roots, they do not provide "provably fair" capability. However, all of our games are statistically fair. In other words, in the long run, our games settle on an average of 85 to 90% payout (depends on the game. the roulette, which will be coming soon, has its own fixed house edge). As you may be aware, you can build a perfectly provably fair game, yet it can be statistically unfair. Nevertheless, we are considering this option with the developer and we may provide the capability in the future.

At the moment, our games are focused more on aesthetics and visuals and the actual gameplay but at the same time they are 100% fair with no cheating involved.

In the coming days we will be putting all statistics concerning the games and actual payouts on our website and here too (we have been opened for less than 24 hours and it does not make much sense to release any figures yet).

Your questions, concerns and criticism is welcome at any time.

Introducing BitcoPlay.com games

Jacks or Better Saloon - Video Poker

To say that Jacks or Better Saloon is not a standard game of video poker is truly an understatement. What is the idea that Jacks or Better Saloon executes so well? The idea that online casinos don't have to be tired, overdone, games without style or environment. The game plays on a theme familiar to anyone playing cards: aficionado or amateur - the Wild West. The game control buttons are embed into a sheriff's star. The cards are displayed as labels on bottles of alcohol. The corks of the bottles of held cards pop out with a realistic squeak. The player is notified of their holdings through the well placed shot of a revolver.

http://cdn.bitcoplay.com/external/games/jacksorbettergameplay2.jpghttp://cdn.bitcoplay.com/external/games/jacksorbetterbonus2.jpg

It is worth mentioning the way that the sounds of Jacks or Better Saloon add to the unique atmosphere. Throughout the game, old fashioned saloon music plays in the background, speeding up during the bonus game to mirror rising tensions. The whiskey bottles slosh when turned, the corks squeak when removed, and of course, the revolver sounds much the way it should.

Like what you see? Play at Bitcoplay.com

Cool game... nice looking software. I think you guys are taking Bitcoin gambling up a notch.

Am I right that you're the first legitimate licensee of a major, foreign-owned software platform to open to the US using Bitcoin?

As you may be aware, you can build a perfectly provably fair game, yet it can be statistically unfair.

What a load of bullcrap. Statistically "fair" is completely meaningless, you can publish whatever you want on your site, doesn't make it fair. Trying to talk yourself out of provably fair games by saying these games can be "statistically unfair", thus insinuating we (provably fair games) may trick our customers somehow is idiotic and charlatan talk.

Ha ha, we will see a serious battle here. Well, as a person holding masters degree in mathematics and quantum physics, I can confirm that The statements made by Bitcoplay are valid. Provably fair just assures that the outcome has not been altered. It has nothing to do with actual payouts. Thus, you can make a slot paying out 70%, yet it will be provably fair. Therefore, in the context of slots this makes no big difference. However, when it comes to card games, it does. I have worked on provably fair systems long before Bitcoin or bitZino would come into existance and one of the first provabfly fair systems that I helped was a Russian gambling site.

At the moment I am helping my friend to launch a new Bitcoin casino and I have told him the same. Provably fair does not always imply really fair. If you have any arguments, I am more than eager to hear them. Please do not take as an offense but almost all casino games that I have seen thus far look like shit in comparison to Bitcoplay games. Their games look awesome. I even have won a there ha ha Smiley Unfortunately, I have experienced some technical problems with a two slots but the support has been extremy useful and all was sorted out.

Anyway, it's good to see more and more gambling services entering the market and hopefully we will see a dose of healthy competition and not just insulting posts.

Posting payout stats on your site, how can you guarantee they are real and directly applicable to the game you are playing, and not just some made up numbers. You can't.

In bitcoin/gambling, you can not post things like
100% fair with no cheating involved.
without proof and expect to get away with it. And no, we will not just trust you on that one.

Question: how does jstrike fit into this?

My interest in this is legal curiosity, as they seem to be using the first licensed, professional third party casino software to both enter the Bitcoin market and open games to the US. We've spent years trying to figure out the legality (or illegality) of doing this, either via our current situation in Costa Rica or through another jurisdiction. We've discussed licensing our software to people who would have no problem opening a parallel Bitcoin site taking US players, but ultimately determined the risks to ourselves would still be too high. Bodog and other mainstream casinos whose reps I've spoken with have also examined this option in depth; it would take them a week to launch a site like that, and the prize would be enormous, but none has yet done it. I know why. But I have an interest in anyone pushing that boundary... this is exactly what infiniti was getting all the press for always being "about to launch", but these guys appear to actually be doing it already.

I think the Playborne software is nice; obviously I wrote my own software and I think mine's better Grin but they obviously have a damn good graphics department over there.

Thank you for the compliments re: graphics. We are well aware of the work you have done and our respect goes to you. While our experience with Bitcoin is new, we have years of experience in the traditional gambling market.

We have a serious marketing plan for the US market. In the coming days and weeks it will be fully unleashed. Serious bonuses will be offered along with additional games with stunning graphics and game play. Moreover, we have other dragons (gaming products) in the pipeline. Namely, an exciting live roulette, virtual horse racing and a P2P betting exchange. Information on this will appear on our website shortly.

Obviously, there will be criticism, sometimes objective, sometimes groundless, that will come towards BitcoPlay. However, our goal is to have satisfied customers and players that get pleasure from the game. After all, that's what gambling is about. We are an active supporter of responsible gaming. Problem gambling is what it says, a problem and shall be avoided at all costs.

Again, thank you for appreciating the graphics quality Smiley

Do you mind if I ask where you guys are incorporated and/or licensed? I see Playborne's based in the Seychelles... I'm assuming they're a master license holder there, so are you guys directly under their license or do you operate elsewhere?

Not asking this to give you grief; obviously I'm looking at this from the casino's perspective, with all the tripwires and legal gotchas I know are involved. Is the jurisdiction willing to take this on with any special considerations or offer any special protections as a Bitcoin property, or is it just set up under the same license (or, like us in Costa Rica, without a license) as any other mainstream casino would be...?

Thanks for the nod, it's nice to know my work's gotten a good reception.

Agreed, but it's not provably fair which means I'm not going to bet anything more than 1 btc on it.

Ahh, so? Then how about this...

We are ready to give a prize of 5 BTC to you (or anyone else) who can prove scientifically that the following statement is wrong:

You can develop a provably fair video slot game that has a payout of 75% only, yet players will not be able to prove this fact unless they do statistical analysis of the actual payouts of the game or have access to the server-side source code.

Unless the above statement is proved wrong, then ANY casino claiming to be provably fair CAN potentially CHEAT in video slot games.

Please note that this applies to video slots only! One more thing to keep in mind is that the above does not state that current provably fair slots are necessarily cheating. It just implies that there is a *possibility* for a provably fair slot to cheat players and thus we come to trust again.

BitcoPlay.com is a 100% fair and honest casino!
