Yeah right! To give it back to the victim  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin. Not to keep , and live out your dreams? So it was well-intentioned. I hear you.

Right. I don't intend to keep it myself. Smiley

Sure thing boss, I "believe" you, and I am sure the rest of the forum does too. When I sent in my address, I was already dreaming of exotic trips, whoring and non stop drinking.

Does it matter? We both know neither you or me or anyone else other than the alt of bfxhacker himself is going to win the giveaway. So why even bother? Tongue

- 1000BTC obtained by hack (an illegal act)
- open a new thread and annonce this 1000BTC as giveaway for one winner (legal act if the provenance of the amount was justified, in this cas          the provenance is from hack so an illegal act)
-oppen new account as X007(the hacker) and participate in this giveaway like all the other participants (innocents, Dreamy)
-The winner of this giveaway is X007.

Q for X007: how did you get that large sum of BTC ?
A: I participated in a Giveaway in the bitcointalk.org forum/reddit.com and with lots of luck i won and this is the proof
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1574127.0
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4vykkr/1000_btc_giveaway_from_your_friend_rekcahxfb/

Conclusion:
All those who participated in this Giveaway blinded by the huge prize, were used to cover the hacker to justify the source of these BTC in the futur.

That's what most of us thought would happen, but sending funds only to one winner address wouldn't help hacker in any way, because anyone with
the tiniest amount of reasoning would come to the same conclusion as you did.

The only way for him to create an atmosphere where he would be able to send money to himself as winner without anyone noticing, would be if there
would be a lot of winners, and he would be just one amung them ( As previously mentioned in an idea of "1 btc to 1000 people" rather than other way around. )

So either one of the following will surely happen ;

1. There will be no more money given away.
2. There will be one winner of 1000 btc (bfxhacker himself)
3. Some other option like multiple winners will be chosen instead.

Maybe this person is trolling us, or maybe he is trying to scam us...

I think i will avoid posting one of my bitcoin address. Everyone will make his own decision.

That's very simple. Keep thinking of what is going on with this 1000btc is a waste of time.

Have a nice day  Smiley

Im not totally sure how to use the taint feature of blockchain.info but look at this: https://blockchain.info/taint/1FvCk1jTsy7AvmnpeKnrfHSJnfX7om7fNM

Thats the "giveaway fee" address. I think it shows that a large number of addresses are associated with the fee address, possibly meaning that the user who posted it also sent coins in an attempt to look like random users.

I know its already been assumed/proven? that the account was hacked and such but I just came across this...

Old news? Unrelated? meaningless? maybe...

this "giveaway fee" was added by the "hacker" that got access to rekcahxfb's account, not by rekcahxfb himself, but ye, the dude who got access to his account probably sent few (most likely first) "fees" to make this look more legit

Dont forget you'd need to publish the address list before block 424600 exists.

Ah lol the donation one again that was called a real scam by the hacked hacker causing that topic to be closed Grin

Nah I meant the exact ordered list of posted addresses on reddit or here that will used to select a winner from before the hash is known, you know to make it verifiable

Yeah remember your problem is you're asking for money first and also didnt prove you can access that 1000btc. Making it a boring scam and not some curious drama
