tbh it's going to be hard to grow the dev team and even find people to contribute to making the next steps happen
using pascal in 2018 is like coding a facebook competitor using HTML 1.0

the language doesnt matter much, usability is much more important and is severely lacking in pascalcoin and many other coins

a re-branding would be optimal, this coin has very good tech but the name isn't very cool imo

There is of course a lot of things you can't do if you code in HTML 1.0

But what is it you can't code in Pascal if you use the newest versions of Delpi or Lazarus?

You really don't know Pascal language history.

It's just as good and fast as C/C++.

Html 1 could do simple static pages.  Big difference.

"Pask" was my idea. They didn't listen to me.  PCash is good too!  Marketing is important, I agree... but it's not the end of the world.. I mean raiblocks?  Bleh.  There's some seriously strange names in the top 100.

major pump just happened !

It did.  I am waiting for the next cycle.  Too risky to do anything at this point with limited PASCs I have.

5$ is a huge milestone.

Hodling.

Congrats on hitting $5 and getting in the top 200!  Much deserved given the technology. I personally love the user accounts.  This and Xtrabytes were always my favorite coins and patience continues to pay off. Exciting time to be alive, that's for sure.

80$ per coin?  I guessed that it would reach at least 6$ in January.

80$ not impossible, but that would be insane.

I panic sold some genuine coins in the past and will avoid making the same mistake.

All this possible thanks to amazing devs.

This blockchain is deletable. Does this mean if I check for my Pascal coin buy transaction after 2-3 months on Polo, it wont show up? I hope that wont be an issue. In that case I will immediately store the CSV.

I'm watching this coin for a long time, ever since it was included on poloniex, its not every day or year that we have genuine innovation in cryptocurrencies, besides bitcoin (obviously) I can count ethereum, zcash and monero and only monero has the right balance of community, good tech and developers coupled with real world usage and battle-tested fundamentals.
Pascalcoin has become one of my favorite but I can't value it higher because miners are able to confiscate funds that are not being moved for longs periods of time, 4 years is too short, this ''feature'' destroys a lot of long time value of this coin for me, its like zcash having a trusted-setup and ethereum being massively premined and buggy, this is just my opinion but I think the developers should reconsider this feature or increase the window of allowed inactivity if this coin is to have long-term value.
I really like how fast and ingenious the safebox and accounts mechanisms are, it makes use of the lack of inherent fungibility via native markets for accounts.
I'm voting against changes in the emission curve, this is also a deal-breaker for me, but the coin might survive as we saw with dash.

edit: just saw this on twitter: https://twitter.com/Assembloid/status/948499197086650368

That seems to be correct.  I was able to restore full blockchain on the Linux wallet recently.  It has the full history.

It is possible to run it without the blockchain with only safeboxes.
