I don't known short-term means how long in your terms because what I know is if you invest your money on casino bankrolls for one to two months then you may or may not make money from these investments because it may need at few months time to give you good profit. I think it really depends on how long of a timeframe you plan to invest for. If you want to invest long term, of course you'll have to look into the future to see how the investment will go, but some people will plan to invest short term to try and obtain a quick profit, so they might want to follow the upward/downward trend of the week.

True. A lot of us are afraid of the risks. We know this gambling sites, they come and go. If you want to create a good profit you need to invest in a new one for the investment to grow. But there is this larger risks with new ones.
Then, in old gambling sites trust are already planted but the risks that it will just run off for getting so much investors.
