Well yeah okay it reported GCC above version 5.2 not support somewhere but at least 5.2 :-D
I will give it a 2nd try later :-D

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³

I used 4.9 because it's compatible with cuda 6.5, 7.5 and 8.

Well as old Gentoo user i was used to bleeding edge stuff :-)
But yeah sometimes I stumbled upon that bleeding edge.

I will give it a try to install that toolchain for yakkety :-D Hope they sstill have it

the problem with this coin, is that it need only 10 additional rig, to destroy completely the profit, so if many user start to run the optimized version, this will be pointless no matter the improvement

it's really a small coin for few people....

Cuda works well with gcc 5.4, just edit Makefile. CUDA 8 comes with patch to support new compilers. CUDA 7.5 work well to, after editing header files and removing error about compiler.

Well since I'm not so dep into it its not easy.
So yes i install the nvidia patch for newer GCC but it didn't help.

So if you have adapted already your buildcould you please provide a diff or tarball?

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³

It's all in git.
I just added the --compiler-bindir /usr/bin/gcc-4.9 flag into Makefile.am.
You can remove or change it.

Now the 1070 is faster than the 980Ti and can do well over 30 Mh/s.

of course.
probably 100 is even better, but it's not supported by the huge amp extreme.

Well on Windows it would be sweet yeah. hehe I'd hope to get it also compiled on my Yakkety :-D
I will install  ubuntu 16.04LTs later even tho Yakkety is released soon.

Or pallas could you give me the binary? Its also okay if you give me the binary of offical git :-D just to see what my GTx1080 can do under Linux

Anybody got an online block explorer? My compiled wallet crashes every so often.
