So many FUD and low-ballers here. Don't listen to newbie and jr.accounts. Remember that elastic donation period was at the beginning of the 2016 till augost 2016. Check registration of the person who could donate during this period. Don't wonna check this thread anymore cause of too much FUD from newbies about gridcoin(don't even know about it). Just one person made several account and talking about gridcoin. Be careful!

Calling valid criticism "FUD" makes you look desperate and insecure. It shows that you can't form a rational counter-argument. And the fact that you don't even know what GridCoin is (a well-known distributed computing project based on BOINC and already traded on the biggest exchanges) shows how woefully uninformed you are.

I've asked what makes XEL better than Golem and the response was nothing but outdated misinformation. That's not a good sign for XEL. When there's already a goliath in the market doing exactly what you plan to do and you can't explain why you're better or different, you have a problem. The fact that EK doesn't even seem to understand Golem is even worse. His canned response is still "But they're just doing Blender rendering!"

XEL doesn't even have a current white paper and people think it's worth $30m? That's just plain idiocy. They can't even put together a functional website -- most of their links just go straight to GitHub. No team page. No FAQ. Abandoned by the original dev. It looks like a bad joke.

This has all the hallmarks of a doomed project or a thinly veiled cash grab.
What's your main account? I know it's your fake account man. You just made several account and spamming here your Gridcoin. Did you see me spamming at gridcoin's thread? Just open official website elastic.pw and find info you need. Person above made special gift for you copying info from website.

He literally just copied a page from Golem. All that does is prove my point.

Golem is the 500 million dollar gorilla in the room, and XEL is just another scamcoin with an anonymous dev who's waiting to run away with a handful of cash. Too bad you'll never get listed on a real exchange because anyone with an ounce of sense can smell this pile of garbage from a mile away.

yea, and thats why so many trusted users are supporting this project. you know there are actually some of us that want to see this "supercomputer" thing done and move crypto to next level, and dont actually care about money. for now everything goes in XEL favor..

XEL doesn't even have a current white paper and people think it's worth $30m? That's just plain idiocy. They can't even put together a functional website -- most of their links just go straight to GitHub. No team page. No FAQ. Abandoned by the original dev. It looks like a bad joke.

You really must be one very desperate person. If this is a bad joke to you, then what the hell are you still doing here? There must be something at least that holds you here? What is it?

It has such a bad ranking because the calculation is wrong.
It's (nearly) the same they are doing with IoP - I don't understand why they don't calculate:
Price x Max.Coins = Mktcap
Than we would be in the top 50

Hi Bob, I thought it said Rank 79 .

You are right both of yours. Because when coinmarketcap added to first hours, They didn't implement our circulation supply, I send genesis account (account for redeem) to them for tracking circulation supply. They implemented yet.
Conimarketcap ranking all coins with market cap, market cap calculating with circulation supply. Now Elastic is on rank 74 Smiley
I hope we will see 400m $ market cap soon.. Smiley

I think "circulating supply" isn't accurate. 100 000 000 XEL is for all intents and purposes. We can't know how many of the XEL will be redeemed in the future. I mean, there are huge wallets of BTC which haven't been touched in years. Is coinmarketcap supposed to exclude them from the circulating supply, because their keys are most likely lost? This is not about rank, but about the fact, that newcomers may think that there is no way that around 30 000 000 XEL may flood the market at some point (unlikely, but possible). Therefore, price calculation should take ALL XEL into accound, not only the ones we know were moved.

Who needs trolls when you have Lannister:

Status of Lannister and the ICO funds

April 15, 2017 by Unvoid

Lannister is gone. ICO funds are gone. We don’t know why. We don’t know if we ever see him again. It’s not like “he took all the funds and run away” because before disappearing he rewarded some of community members with some BTC for their work. He mentioned that he have some health problems also. That’s all we know now.

Anyone buying XEL might as well light their money on fire.

Could you stop quoting trolls? Just ignore them.

It's funny how they post publically available information directly from Elastics channels, as if they were high profile whistleblowers. Everybody with half a brain can find this information themselves (and hopefully does, because everybody who invests in something should do their own research about it anyway) and can make up their mind about it.

Nothing more to say, really.

I've been researching this project (initally I asked myself why is it so hard to find information, but it soon became apparent why) and was a fan of the idea. For a team that's developing such advanced technology you sure do have a shitty non-informative website.

One of the first things I wanted to find out was supply and distribution. So let me get this straight. The total supply is 100,000,000 and all of this has been distributed to 'donators'? What a total farce and joke. Evil-Knievel (ridiculous name btw) are you going to give me an intelligent non-strawman answer as to how a token that's 100% in the hands of initial investors is going to allow a fair widespread use of this technology? Are you going to give a rational explanation how this is not the very antithesis of what you're proposing and how widespread adoption is meant to happen if all of the tokens are in the hands of a few?

Go on, give it a go. You won't because this is a ridiculous and unethical way of distributing tokens for a technology which has the sole premise of decentralized and distributed computing.

I've seen your posts and instead of giving logical and intelligent explanations you either act like a child and complain how you won't continue your work if you receive 'abuse' or you conveniently refuse to answer under the guise of not answering trolls and fud'ers. I am neither and hope you prove how this isn't another scam ICO.
