... I don't have a good grasp on graphs and a strong idea what could happen next.  I understand it's not all about graphs...
You may have had an account on bitcointalk since may 2011 and contemplated owning bitcoins since it was ~13$ but I can't advise you to own even a fraction of a BTC if you "don't have a good grasp on graphs". ... WTF did you say "graphs" ?

I hope you managed to go forth with other aspects of your life in the meanwhile.

If you haven't noticed almost everyone around here has sold everything but the bare minimum for staying alive to get more BTC.

Seriously, What kind of advices do you expect ?

I'm sold, glad u posted here and linked to to ur thread Nagan.  I've got what I feel are great ideas and now I've got a push to think of more ideas, so thank u very much.  Want to start my own business maybe a couple and getting a coin would be helpful right now, so yea I'll joining in fun.

Being that I'm still learning, I feel like a newbie and love thinking of ways to get more people in my position into bitcoin and would love a chance to give back.  It's great seeing people still having fun within the Bitcoin community, I commend u my friend.

Hey Transisto u seem agitated by my question and statements, hope I didn't offend you buy registering here years ago when I first heard of bitcion. Yup I said graphs, obviously that isn't okay with u, not that it matters.

Thanks for the consideration and yes I've been quite busy with life and enjoying hobbies.  I get the feeling u want me to sell almost everything and follow the herd but that isn't my style for better or for worse.  U make it sound like every member is currently a bull and I'm foolish for getting oppinons from the community, I assume u made good money yet u seem angry, why?

Don't buy anything you haven't already accepted might crash in value. If you can accept that possibility then buy it, they could go quite a lot higher before they crash.

Thanks for answering me politely,

This forum has ~80 000 members so an even bitcoin distribution would mean ~130 BTC each.... It does not mean much but still I hope you get the idea.

The problem I had with your question is the number "1" BTC while this number should have been 80$ (at the time)

If you want to us to decide for you if you should be investing 80$ on bitcoins we would have to know how easy is it for you to acquire this many USD.

So I bought some Casascius coins, which I will probably distribute as gifts to the people I really like.

All my friends and family have one. I told them to not worry about what the heck that is, just stash it somewhere safe and forget about it for some years.

PS now when it's at $100, I stopped giving out free coins until Casascius prints satoshis Smiley

I actually recently recommended this to all my friends and family. Just buy 1, and then sit on it for several years. If Bitcoin goes bust you are only out $60 (at the time). If Bitcoin works out the way some people suggest (and I agree), it could be worth 6 figures. A worthy investment. Smiley

So far as I know no one took my advice. Sad

I did the same thing.. At least a dozen of my friends have taken the advice, and are trading in tenths of a coin, playing with the market. Its fun to watch :p but all in all, I'm holding on to my bitcoins for the forseeable future. I've been burned a few times on these violent dips, thinking it was at last a correction.. but nope.

I want in but the price sort of seems high.  What do you Knowledgeable experienced people think would be the best time to buy 1 btc and see where it goes?  If you don't have a good grasp on graphs and the Bitcoin markeIf you buy, don't ts then pls don't post, this is to help me and others get a grasp of what we should do next without reading posts with people bickering.

I've been ready to buy since $13 and waited and now obviously I'm paying for that mistake.  I don't have a good grasp on graphs and a strong idea what could happen next.  I understand it's not all about graphs and I don't plan to make my decision based on others comments in here but I'd like valuable posts to help me make a final decision, please stay on topic.  What should I do buy or coin or wait for a lower price, if u think wait please fully explain why if u feel the opposite please fully explain why, if you are unsure what could happen next please fully explain why.  Please be respectful of others and there opinions, thanks!  Smiley

Just don't buy to panic sell when it drops back to $40 or something like that, bitcoin is very volatile, and its entirely possible that we have a decent sized correction soon after the big run-up (or maybe we won't).  If it were up to me though, I ld rather have 1 bitcoin than no bitcoin.

I wish it would go back to $1/$10/$30 just so I could buy more

Not a problem, all I wanted was opinionson were people expected Bitcoins to go from here in the somewhat short term so I can decide for myself when to buy.

Not sure what u mean with the even distribution comment I never asked for that and don't follow ur comment.

Go ahead and buy the bitcoin. It will focus you on studying more about what it's all about. If you decide you don't think there's a future, you can sell (likely for more than what you paid I expect).

I have thought about this....but they will forget and and not know how to access their BTC and it will be lost, accidentally sent anyway....you have to have an interest in it and really look into it to understand it....at this time....

I've been telling them to buy since $30. Just one sodding Bitcoin.

No interest.

If you do buy, you'll know in your guts if you feel OK about it or not. Until you buy, you won't be sure. So my suggestion is just buy a tiny part of a coin (say 0.1BTC) and see how you feel. You'll then know if you want to buy more or want to sell what you bought.

If we told you to Buy because in less than a year Bitcoin will get up by 1000% or would you have believed us? Well it did.

We are saying it again.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

We are saying it again.
And in june 2011, when the price was 27$, people believed it would go up to 100$ by the end of the month...
And they were wrong.
I don't know where its going, but I'm cautious.
