for security purposes i recommend you remove the "List User" option under Operations.

You are right, the link re-appeared with the new theme on accident, but I have since disabled that controller for that page entirely.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

so the downside to a small pool is blocks won't be found as often and you will earn less credits, but over the long term it should even out?

in 2days at MtRed i'm not making nearly as much as i did at btcguild

Generally speaking, it evens out over time.  But the variance hurts more if a bigger pool has a bad streak (in the short term).  It all comes down to the features of the pool and whether or not it addresses your needs.  And I for one, find MtRed is currently the best pool to suit my needs.

Love Mt.Red.

Can we get a sum total of our hash rate on the miner page?
 Smiley
I'm sure that would be a quick add...

Thank you Mt. Red.

DDoS attack or something?

I think that there is a problem as well, these numbers look down by more than two thirds
                US                    EU                    ∑
Pool Size:    73.9021 GH/s    36.8795 GH/s    110.7816 GH/s

It could be a DDoS, every other pool is being hit with DDoS.

EDIT: It may be related to the CPU botnet miner attacking btcguild. The DDoS there would cause people to migrate to other pools. And a rapid userbase expanse over a few minutes would have a similar effect to a DDoS attack. It could be that.

Hey, yes I don't think its an intentional ddos, but a huge subnet of cpu miners have been hold socket resources.  Most likely the same the was mining on other pools as well.

If any admins can confirm, I had to block 204.9.55.* (if this is you, message me as I have an idea how to utilize all those cpus with breaking the mining ops)

Looks like they are still attacking.  My GPU miners disconnected.

That IP looks like it's stemming from the pan handle of Florida.

I switched over from btcguild, for the most part it's working though the workers go idle very briefly here and there.

Well it appears there are a lot of mining networks jumping around and causing havok on the various pools.  I think we admins should get a list of subnets that have cpu botnets or something.

A suggestion...

Could you please include the current hashrate of all user's workers (the sum of all) in the dashboard?? I really miss it

Thanks!
