A community burned one times too many now resorting to calling everything they see a scam is unhealthy. We all want proof in the form of GH/s and trusted community members getting their hands on these but don't you think it's a little god damn early to yell scam?
It's clear no one is going to go and pre-order without proof. A website and a render of a box doesn't enthuse me either but I'll wait before I pass judgement.
No, thats just your gullibility expressing itself.

Dear customers, we have got many support requests with the same questions and reproaches. So we decided to take statement. 1.) We will publish in the next days pictures from the pcb, chip etc. 2.) Our domain was registered at the 23th march. At february we took our page online on a static ip, which was given to choosen people. Mostly for test purposes. The webpage was hosted on a htpc in our office, it was no problem due the low traffic. 3.) We hired for two of our scripts austrian programmers, this is why we have some german words in our source code. Your CedarTec Team. Under news section Let's se what we can't see It is funny how 3.) is constructed with german grammar. Seriously, try reading it in a german accent.

Another one? On the "product page" It reads: "Supported protocol: SHA-256 (e.g. Bitcoin)" Funny. What was that suppose to mean to anyone? and Why is it important? Looks like a case of baffle em with b.s.

I'm getting more of czech vibe from the whole thing actually.

Dear customer,
we are about to get unlocked for the bitcointalk, we putted us in the whitelist but nobody has reacted on it. One of our employees has post 4 answers and we are about to get the 4 hours ontime to be allowed to post something.
The pictures will be with something on it that shows that the pictures are definitly made by us.
We are accepting pre-order because of the financial aspect, that is why we can not accept refunds, we must calculate everything and ordering the components by order for up to 1000 orders.
Our product is not cheap, but the price is suitable. We have a contractor in china which will produce our main components. So it is possible for us to offer a unit for 999$.
With best regards,
Your CedarTec Team. the whitelist is so bitcointalk staff have proff of they are legal?

Well some hours have passed since my request to purchase their product. No reply. You'd think they would snap up new customers. Maybe it's the escrow part they don't like. LOL

I didn't know lebanon is the new silicone valley. Funny how these new companies pop up from thin air without any previous serious business and claim to have developed todays best selling product, an ASIC.

They have a video now read in English, but with a German accent, but the call of 'Yalla' in the background at the start is a nice touch as is the effort in the GUI. Shame they don't focus on the product aside from the red and green lights, but they're so purtty... http://cedartec.net/gallery.php

The video looks interesting. Still not convinced - but this at least isn't a quick pump and dump kind of scam. Unfortunately the video doesn't really show much of the hardware - it is a bit dark, can see power cables and stuff - but no asics on the board or anything yet.
Anybody care to do some digging in the video? Anybody see what the pool is they are using? Can we confirm the mining was actually done with the pool or something?
