My opinion a good way to decide if an account is a spammer, is to see if he just literally repeats what someone has already said. They generally don't read what people have typed. albeit, if the thread is 9 pages, sure, but usually its good practice to read the the last page...so many people just keep repeating and repeating what has been said just to earn them campaign coins.... You mean people saying exactly what was just said, instead of reading? Like I just did right now, just to prove your point? Another obvious sign is when 9+ out of 10 posters have a paid signature. The campaign I'm in recently stopped counting "the obvious spam threads" that are filled like that. I dont see why campaign managers would care? I mean the whole point of campaigns is to get exposure for whatever it is If the thread is mainly filled with other signature spammers, the exposure it gives the campaign will be worthless. I notice that a lot of threads end up like this, 30 signature farmers all talking to eachother, while everybody else has abandoned that thread, even if the thread did start out useful. My preferred "solution" now it to use the signature as an indication whether or not the post if worth reading. The bigger the signature, the less likely it's worth my time. This solution of yours...means that you may miss out on a quality / informative post made by someone who isn't actively participating in a signature campaign or a newbie, like myself.

@rizzlarolla. Please also check the patterns for these accounts. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=897152 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=897577These two accounts gave me a negative trust rating right after I warned campaign manager of Iconomi about the farmed accounts exposed in this thread, unless they remove it after reading this. True enough that proves that there is really a lot of click farming going on here. Also please take note of the dates registered of those accounts. Something tells me they are registering accounts none stop every month.

Once they roll out the new forum they should remove Sig campaigns all together.

@Rizzlarolla. Are there more updates? I have been sending this thread to the campaigns that have members mentioned here in this thread. It is very laughable how some of the more experienced campaign managers are still accepting spammers and farmed accounts.
Thanks for that. No surprise there. Theymos is in on this, and the mods, and so the managers, I suspect. My opinion a good way to decide if an account is a spammer, is to see if he just literally repeats what someone has already said. They generally don't read what people have typed.
Thing is, that is the mods job which they fail to do, but is also an different issue to farmed accounts. Many people could disputably be accused of spamming at some time or other, probably. But a farmed account can ONLY EVER be spam. My preferred "solution" now it to use the signature as an indication whether or not the post if worth reading. The bigger the signature, the less likely it's worth my time.
But that is where you and Danny Hamilton are going wrong imo. Many of these farmed accounts will not have a sig as they "rank up". There posts are still total spam. You have a sig, should I look down on you for that alone, regardless of post quality and intent? Says the person who have the most number of posts in the Alternate Cryptocurrencies area. Of course being a Yobit shitposter there is nothing to be surprised. So how much have you been paid to spam all of the alt section from yobit ? Maybe pennies. Worthless shit , that is what you are.
Again, different issue. I would rather have 1 "real" person spamming 1 account than 1 farmer spamming 200+ accounts and counting. There is no way to tackle individual spamming when farmed accounts are leading the charge and being well paid/protected. Let the moderator check my IP and if they found that i am farming other accounts. I may post a bad idea but this doesn't mean that i will allow you to destroy my image lets make deal then if ever that you are proven wrong submit your account and let it be banned for accusing Ok watching. (a mod, take action?.. haha) You are not on my list yet. I am nowhere near the 800,000 membership! These two accounts gave me a negative trust rating right after I warned campaign manager of Iconomi about the farmed accounts exposed in this thread, unless they remove it after reading this. True enough that proves that there is really a lot of click farming going on here. Probably throwaway accounts at this stage. The manager should probably be looked at? (i'll try finding some time) If anyone wants to help, I need more spreadsheets to work from, similar to what Twitchy Seal produced for me. (thanks again to twitchy) But as I have said, all this "searching" is just for us few real members. Theymos already knows and has all this info at this fingertips. And has for ages. He is overseeing this attack. Probably why he disabled member search at the same time as the bannings Hilarious talked of here. So we would not see what he knew. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1455496.0https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1462814.0

Just curious, what do you guys think creates demand for account farming? Don't say signature campaigns, because that's b.s, nobody goes through that trouble to come up with pennies per post per day. Also, most sig campaigns do not pay for spam posts.
I'll answer my own question, it's favoritism towards higher ranks and older accounts (Prior to 2011), valuing their opinions more deeply than the newer users (Recent 2-3 years).

Sig campaign is a good source of btc... if you have 200 accounts. Then, after spamming the forum for sig money, the now higher ranking accounts can be sold for decent amount of btc. New accounts are always being ranked up to replace sold accounts. Not all these accounts get on a sag campaign, so are ranked up by posting (usually) 1 every 2 week. Minimum time spent, maximum value created. I feel many do not understand that 1 single farmer owns/owned all of my listed accounts. He is making VERY good money. THOUSANDS of $ per week. (my list is compiled after looking at only a small number of members) How can that be right. How could Theymos and his mods not know or act.

I already explained the economics behind it. The site administrators benefit from ad revenue, they are greater beneficiaries than people who rent out their sig space themselves. They have to pay trusted members of the community to get their campaigns to gain recognition. Who are these trusted members? Why, the donators and moderators themselves of course! My eyes are trained to see political ties, and this one is much too clear, The same guy moderating the Yobit signature campaign thread moderates all the other threads in its section. When advertisers flock to Bitcointalk.org seeing potential to make money, that's good for Bitcointalk's Admin. So, it's not they don't care, or they don't see it, but they know it's something that's happening, but trying to curb it would be at risk of causing a decline in Bitcointalk's advertising partners.

Also, most sig campaigns do not pay for spam posts. They earn pennies, but pennies add up to hundreds of dollars: Let me make up some numbers: 0.3 m BTC per post from various signature campaigns, and 100 posts per day. That makes 30 m BTC per day. $18.40 per day at current rates, or $550 per month, $6600 per year. In a lot of countries that is a very nice salary! People are solving captcha's and doing faucets for much less, and professional click farms make a living too. What if they start abusing this forum like this? Compare this to the average salary per country (this list is after taxes but I don't think spammers would pay taxes anyway). I'll pick a few: Europe: Greece: $834 Poland: $792 Latvia $677 Asia: India: $509 Philippines: $320 Indonesia $315 I've seen a lot of spammers from Indonesia. With just 50 posts per day they earn an average salary. If you're a bit efficient you can spam that in an hour. Now imagine doing 400 per day, you spend 8 hours and earn 8 average salaries! $2200 per month without paying taxes is a lot in most countries. Maybe market mechanisms will eventually take care of this: if enough "workers" offer their services to signature compaigns, they will lower their rates (lowering the spammers' revenue), or become more selective. Yobit for example stopped taking new applicants months ago, and they have thrown some people out of the campaign.

And yes i agree, in many countries it seems that posting spam on these forums, if done efficiently, can earn you better than most jobs that are available to them.

Maybe market mechanisms will eventually take care of this: if enough "workers" offer their services to signature compaigns, they will lower their rates (lowering the spammers' revenue), or become more selective. Yobit for example stopped taking new applicants months ago, and they have thrown some people out of the campaign. Lol...can you please tell me the point of that photo?? And yes i agree, in many countries it seems that posting spam on these forums, if done efficiently, can earn you better than most jobs that are available to them. They're playing Runescape, so that you can be able to afford a blue partyhat. Since some people are too thick to understand satire, I meant, Runescape has similar gold farming sweatshops in Asian countries.

Sorry for this renem, but why come here? (bit off topic but hey, my thread) I suppose we bought into different monetary systems then, since my understanding going into it was different. I think that Bitcoin relies on the economic self-interest of the masses to govern consensus. I actually perceive Bitcoin as being the evolution of governance. Voluntary and decentralized non geographically bound governance, the evolution of the modern democracy if you will into something better and superior Bitcoin is not freedom, there are rules.. Bitcoin is trust. Or trustlessness for that matter. So whatever blockstream or anyone says, in Bitcoin I trust.

I bet there are others? ... Oh yes, here's another. all people agree that bitcoin will not make bank disappear, the only possible thing is bitcoin will compete banks, and it start happen in this year, but some event will decide how long and how far bitcoin will make bank feel awfull with bitcoin existence. Normal banks wont disappear because of bitcoin banks is a multi million dollar investment and government have shares in it,do you think that the governments would allow such thing to happen? I don't think banks are going to disappear soon perhaps 200 years from now . But if we have support and everyone start to use bitcoin in daily life issues bitcoin soon will make fiat disappear not banks alone .

Ok, 1 more then I'm done. Bitcoin is getting famous only in some specific countries. But mostly in all countries the growth of bitcoin community is not considerably keep on spreading. This is because of many bitcoiners are simply forgetting their responsibility of spreading bitcoin's to new people.Bitcoin is getting more and more famous and that is because there are now more people that will get to know about it so that is nice for the currency itself.t will be more famous this 2016 since many online markets are adopting it as a mode of payment for their products & services. I guess that by the end of 2016, bitcoin information will be spread in more cities around the world.

I already made contact to more campaign managers showing them this thread. They will be shocked at what they will see here. The campaign of Secondstrade have been warned in public. I have seen that the campaign manager over there is not really strict in maintaining the quality of posts of their members.
