Gambling is for fun and you already know that we can't win at the end than it is good to fix the amount how much we can lose for the day. % depends on individuals because if someone got a very little amount than 5% may not be sufficient for them to play so you should at least tell what is your current bankroll. |

Gambling management is somewhat personal habit and you shouldn't be enforcing something that works for you on others.
I am talking about hard numbers here. 5% of bankroll could be $1 for someone and $4000 for someone else.

This is a good way to start. You should never bet more then what you can afford to lose e.g your bankroll.

That is what you should always do. It's the best way to manage risk in gambling. That way, even if you lose, you won't lose it all But that ways when you win, you won't win as big as you would want to. I follow strict bankroll management myself, but I don't suggest doing it as a recreational gambler as you won't get far when the house edge starts kicking in. |

well in poker bankroll management is the first step on the success journey , I don't know much about sportsbetting but I think the same applies to it
cause as long as you have a high win rate you should be able to beat it by betting the same amount on each match
like when the match has something like X2 odds , then you should be sure that your pick will win more than 50% of times
if it won then cool , if it lose then it's just variance and you should make money by repeating the process in the long run
I don't know if there is anyone here who is making a living by betting on sports , maybe he should share his thoughts

The more bets you make the more you will see negative effect of house edge, gambling is about "all or nothing", you can't expect to be in profit over the long run. |

I don't know if that is a good method or not but I am sure you can not always follow that. There will be a poit where you will be tempted to bet a bit higher more becase you are sure that you are going to win. |

I'll check out his pick threads, if they're good and win most of the time, he definitely can profit a lot. |

I don't know if that is a good method or not but I am sure you can not always follow that. There will be a poit where you will be tempted to bet a bit higher more becase you are sure that you are going to win. That is true and most us will face this issue at some instant while gambling and when we go to that face and mostly we will lose more money than making money. So gambling I always consider as a fun game instead making some profits from it. But somehow I'm in profits from sports betting. |

managing your bankroll should be the only thing that you always do and also stick to it in every single bet you make.
otherwise you should not even make any bets because losses will be great if you lose the handle on your bankroll.

I don't see any strategy on his post about bank roll. In my own personal bankroll management. I'll never bet an all in because it is 50/50% chance on winning and if you lose on all in you will never bet again to even your loss. I always wager only 20% of bank roll then multiply it by 2.1 in that case i'll recover my loss and have some profit. But this is always a case to case basis. You need to experiment on your own to conclude in different result. |

However, I don't know if that is his set strategy, or if he's going to fluctuate his bet values up to 5%, or 5% as his base bet. It would be great if you could elaborate, OP. If not, maybe you should lock the thread if you have the answers you need and will not provide tips. |

I'm sorry I misunderstood what he said at first I thought he will share his bet here in this thread just like what he does in some of his thread. His strategy is to limit his bets to only 5% of his bankroll. However, I don't know if that is his set strategy, or if he's going to fluctuate his bet values up to 5%, or 5% as his base bet. It would be great if you could elaborate, OP.
If not, maybe you should lock the thread if you have the answers you need and will not provide tips.
OP should post his stats after doing the challenge before locking the thread. |
