Great job on the dual coin system guys (both in development and philosophy), I've never seen something quite like this and am excited to see how it functions in operations. In addition great decision on providing full financial disclosure clearly showing anonymous money backing this project. Spencer and everyone else involved, hats of you you sirs.

On September 4th, Bittrex will enable SILK deposits.
You send SILK to your new Bittrex SILK deposit address on September 4th (through September 17th)
On September 5th, Poloniex will delist SILK.
Your SILK deposit will stay there in Bittrex for 2 weeks(September 17th).
On September 17th, SLK market officially launches on Bittrex, and your deposit will be released as SLK.

Do I have to upgrade my wallet to newer version?
