Just for clarification.

Open account on Bittrex

Deposit silkcoin SILK on Bittrex exchange from your desktop wallet

Bittrex will automatically swap SILK to SLK by Sep 17th.
SWAP 1:1
1000 SILK becomes 1000 SLK.

Download new SLK wallet and sync

Transfer your new SLK from Bittrex to your desktop (if required)

Right?

Depends of who do you trust more!!!

Noobs don't trust anybody

My question is if we swap on bittrex will it help the project more than if we wait?

If you wish to support the project and use Weaver you are welcome.

If you prefer to use Bittrex you are welcome.

It is down to user discretion and personal preference.

OK thanks
So what happens with the coins if they stay in our desktop wallets?
will they stake from 5th to 17th or not and will the amount staked on that period will be up for swapping to SLK?

Yes all coin created prior to the 17th will be eligable for swap.

Silkcoin(SILK) created once the Silk(SLK) market opens will no longer be eligable.

On the wallets page search for sc or silk. I've successfully deposited some of my silkcoins there. Bittrex will automatically swap the SilkCoin(SC) to Silk(SLK) on Sep 17th and trading will resume as well.

Good news, so we can keep on staking those days to get a bit more silk and to continue to secure the network.
Are you guys aware that it is very important to keep the network up and running those days?
Keep staking if you can, ang get more coins.

You can buy Silkcoin here: https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_silk

And then move them to Bittrex and on 17th of September they will be swapped to Silk. You can't mine Silkcoin or Silk in the future, thats done already.

But Polo is delisting Silk today right? So between today and 17th there is no way to buy more.

Someone could always set up a temporary OTC thread to cover that period if there's big demand.
