I don't think that it will because people will be too poor to buy bitcoins
I have already said this other times in threads which have a similar name. It can really help poor countries. They don't need to buy bitcoins. They can join a signature here when they are full member and above rank to earn a bit of bitcoin. Also they can use faucetbox plus megatypers. This is truly helpful for countries like India or Bangladesh or Pakistan. I have seen many users from such countries trying to earn money with easy hits4u traffic exchange which pays very low compared to the methods I said.

if you have no money at all, then you are to poor to buy bitcoins. but other than that you can exchange your local currency for bitcoin for very small fees. in fact they are so small that you could earn them with some faucets or signature campaign. sometimes i get the impression that people, that talk about bitcoin being to expensive, think you have to buy 1 bitcoin, like it would be not possible to buy 0.5 bitcoin.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries? how? what can be done?
Bitcoin/altcoin cannot help poor countries. But if the people will become open minded into it, there will be a chance to for a poor country to get rid of it to their poverty situation. if they can only build a big bitcoin community into that nation. Why not? I'm from a poor country, bitcoin can help me, and I know there are lots of people from my country also being helped.

Bitcoin is invention. Which can give better economy as well as transparency in financial transaction. Due to some innovative features like as Anonymous, instant, open source, transparent can give more better solutions which can reduce poority. But if we consider formulation of Bitcoin, which need lots of computing power. And poor country may cannot afford this much power cost to make sustainable environment for better digital and virtual economy which is based on cryptocurrency. But Bitcoin can give opportunity to enhance better economy in poor country. Long Live Bitcoin.

Well I am going to clarify that bitcoin is helping me since I am from poor country and I am a poor person. When I knew bitcoin it is really helped me a lot. And since I am still in college I am able to do both, trading with bitcoin and does able to study in college and I hope my country is going to realize that bitcoin is going to help a lot of people here.

Two billion people do not have access to a bank account. This is a big drawback for economical growth. Bitcoin or solutions based on Bitcoin could solve this. You could also give the hugh amount of developing money from 1st world countries to spread it directly to the people with a blockchain-based solution instead of giving the money to mostly corrupted governments where the money never reaches the actual receivers. This thing is one of the benefits of bitcoin which we could really do peer to peer transaction without any hassle of having a bank account as you said. I do agree with you that it could easily spread directly to the people. This way would somehow help on poor countries.

It can help to poor countries if you give it bitcoin directly to them but it is the best to give them a mining farm so that most of poor people can get benefits of bitcoins. also if they can manage it and save more bitcoins earnings they can inscrease the amount of their miner..

bitcoin is not mother thresa to help poor countries, bitcoin is just another currency like any other with some extra features.
it is up to the people of those countries to start thinking for themselves and earn money, but yes if they can start earning bitcoin online that would be a great help for them financially.

it can help if the people of that country would know how internet work first before implementing bitcoin , and still fiat overcomes bitcoin in this present day cause bitcoin can't buy foods for their daily lives and internet is a luxury to them .
Hmm you have a point but my idea is that teach people first how to use or how cryptocurrency work then internet matter would follow and i guess this is much better because when they've charged by those networks for their used data they can afford to pay.

yes it is a fact that poor people cannot afford bitcoin to buy, as the currency of some countries is very low as compare to USD, just line india and pakistan whos currency is too low as compare to bitcoin but still we can see people from these countries to invest money in bitcoin, but i think they will be feel it to difficult to invest because their currency is too low as compare to USD.

Buying is not always important but people can also earn them as that is what me and a lot of people are doing in this forum, buying is for those who can afford it but not for those who cannot.

But the problem is the access. If quite we don't have a problem accessing the internet then it's different for those people in poor countries. Most of the families there care for their budget and don't want to spend single bucks on the internet or even for a gadget. Also the internet access can only be accessed in those centralized places which is rarely rate since most of them lives on a rural community where internet can't reached.

Bitcoin is probably a currency like others but earning it online is way easier than other currencies i guess so if the people in poor countries come to know about this so they can get good financial help as you mentioned, i have seen a person who said his monthly salary is $80 and he runs his family with that money so you can imagine what bitcoin can do for people like him.

I think bitcoin can only make life better in the third world. No longer must people slave over in mines and doing hard heavy labour like collecting wood and fruit and things in the hot sun making barely anything. Now people can blog and ear crypto currency much easier then the jobs in their country.

If bitcoin was adopted fully then it could help citizens of poor country. These people usually don't have bank account, so direct p2p payments system like bitcoin should be good option for them. Unfortunately Bitcoin in its current state is not capable of influencing any country poor or wealthy alike.
