You can work for bitcoin, you don't need capital to start, just like what we are doing right now... Just because they are poor they can't hold bitcoin, it's not like that, as long as they have knowledge about it, they could manage to have a bitcoin... Some native don't even wear clothes, and eat what they caught in the forest, but some of them are educated and even wealthier than others... What I mean is,anyone can have a bitcoin, as long as they have knowledge about it...  Smiley

Poor in my definition is something that is uneducated and not so active in the internet, there main concern is to survive and have their basic needs. I guess, only few of the poor people you mention can work with bitcoin, not all has the right knowledge as I believe when working here education is a must.

Besides, working online is not the real essence on why bitcoin is created, it's just part of the benefits but it will not last forever.

My main concern is also to survive and give myself my daily needs, does that make me poor? No. Every single source of income has a requirement and in bitcoins, the requirement would be being computer literate. If you don't know how to use the computer in the first place, then I would think of you as someone who lives in an uncivilized place or you simply just don't get out of your house and socialize.

The most broke people I know can even afford to rent a computer. I don't think being poor is a valid excuse for not learning about bitcoin if you really want to because everyone has a smartphone nowadays and even if you don't have one, you can always borrow from a friend or a relative.

Well i do understand the most earn money just to pay bills and food, with that said if they know english, sure they can join a signature here, and i would consider buy a computer and internet an investment that they can do and get a better life, with a job they can get a loan at their banks, and with the income of signatures i do believe they can repay the loan and improve their life.

Can Bitcoin or any other altcoin help poor countries?
how? what can be done?
I don't think so, to help poor countries need more than just digital currency.
Poor country means people income less than standard
Bitcoin may help some people who joined the forum to get an extra income, but not an entire country.

I think it just need some courage to help every person. But for a whole country it will be hard. If every single man could see bitcoin as a good investment then they might see it as a helpful way for each one.

Knowing that bitcoin can be earned for free, with just a internet conection its possible to help some people wich live at poor countries, as long their internet provider has stable acess and low cost as well.

People living in second world countries could earn themselves some coins through signature campaigns, or just by offering their services to the public. But that's different for people living in third world countries. These people mostly don't have enough money for food and stuff. And for that reason, it will be a costly thing to pay for an internet connection while they need that money to feed their family. So no, I don't think Bitcoin will be of much value for them in that aspect.

I think isn't hard to find a celphone with internet connection even in poor countries but I doubt this signature campaigns, faucets or whatever can improve their lifes. If was easy, poverty would not exist. We have to thank for have where to sleep.

to find a cellphone maybe it isn't that hard to do but to have a internet access will be the for some countries and most of people can't afford to have their own internet on their home and they are just depending to prepaid credit that can give them an access which is not actually enough or meaning to say does not have enough speed .

Well, Bitcoin can be earned through faucets on the Internet, has zero maintaining balance, does not require a credit check, is corruption-resistant (politically and financially speaking), and can potentially grow in value over time. These aren't just "cool features." These features collectively represent the only financial services that these economic tiers could hope to be eligible for.

Cryptocurrencies know no borders, so a person in a Vietnam, for instance, can purchase some bitcoin and use it as a store of value that protects from the domestic fiat currency that is being devalued, or the Bitcoin payment network can be used to move that value abroad for investment -- something not otherwise possible today because of capital controls and/or fees causing such a cross-border transaction to be prohibitive...

I am pretty sure that bitcoin could help poor countries, but it must happen slowly. maybe if the government they know the potential of bitcoin, it will definitely be introduced by the society, so that people of the country can compete to find bitcoin, so the country will passti changing slowly getting better

Government in poor countries just help the people to stay poor, corruption and things like that... And actually bitcoin isn't good for governments at all because this can be bad for the fiat and we have the anonymous factor here.

I do not think that bitcoin would be bad in government because of fiat, bitcoin has no physical money to compete in fiat and bitcoin always need fiat to spend and the demand of fiat is help to increase because of exchanging bitcoin to fiat.

To help the poor is a very noble cause and I made sure to yourself that what you do to others comes back to you many times over the amount. If it is even to believe that a person can truly be happy. But if you help someone, you need to know what he needs, or at least that it gets your help.

Bitcoin is a form of money and as we all know that money alone can't change any country's condition as most of other things are also needed for a nation to prosper and to be self sufficient but in terms of other vices like corruption, black marketing etc bitcoin can very well be the solution

CORUPTION It is a big problem of most poor countries. Although this malicious phenomenon flourishes in other countries where there are less people's living standards. Poverty is this phenomenon not win and bitcoin is better not even think to direct for these purposes.

Besides corruption, in poor countries not have good education program. With education can increase life quality in poor countries.

there is corruption in poor countries, but there is also corruption in the "rich" countries, they just disguise it better. they call it lobbying or a special fee etc. also the education in some poor countries is very good only not everybody has the possibilities to study. we need to change the way we talk about those poor countries.

Good education costs money, too. Even the normal school to build or hire teachers who can teach children qualitatively. This is all the money, too.
