Just wanted to say how disappointed I am with the komodo team regarding slack invites. I have been trying for
weeks to join. And would of loved to participate in the pizza/beer swap and upcoming beer/kmd swap. It's a real shame
how anonymity is so important for the coin and team members but if you want to participate in the community you must
give up your private key!

I do not accept this in any way! I personally do not have any of these things listed and even if I did I would not share them.
This is unacceptable.
I guess those participating get richer?
We accept Slack invites based on the answer of the user. Instead of your email you could give an elaborate reason for not wanting to provide the work email. Common sense would dictate that it's someone who is not a bot trying to create fake accounts. So we would most likely approve it. However, if you don't write anything then it will most likely get overlooked.
Well my application has been "overlooked". I wrote "I do not have any of the listed examples" Is this not sufficient?
This is handled very poorly. A user wanting basic support has to fill out a terrible form and wait weeks?

So just ask away at any one of these places and I'm sure you'll get whatever you need done. No need to stomp your feet around in a tantrum like a child - just communicate.

It's an analogy in the same fashion as comparing apples to oranges and saying that strawberries are better because they aren't bananas.
bullshit. its a perfect analogy. There are many examples of your privkey in the real world, Any identification documents (drivers license, birth certificate, medical records, etc) Email addresses, social media.. i could go on and on.
PS: I definitely thought you meant an ACTUAL private key when you were commenting about not getting into slack, that isn't a good analogy at all...
If you think the word "private key" can be interpreted in the context of someone's private life/identity on a forum where we strictly speak about cryptocurrencies, you are dead wrong. It's misleading and inaccurate. Saying that either makes the slack invite look like a scam, or it makes you look uneducated.
