The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I'll second CryptoCurrent. They're great to work with and are actually pretty quick, generally speaking.

So question, when you buy coins off of blockchain for USD, how does it work?
Do they just go to a market, buy at that price for your specified USD amt, and deposit the coins into your wallet?

I've always used either bitinstant or bitfloor. bitfloor i prefer because the nearest BofA is within 5 mins walking distance from where i work, so bank deposit works out fine. If I use bitinstant that walk becomes 20 minutes. And that's basically the difference for me.

I'd personally look into BTC-E. They're perfect for me.
