Best cryptocurrency to invest ?

1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum, ETH / ETC
3. DigiByte
4. Kobocoin
5. Diamond
6. Lisk
7. Monero
8.
9.
10. Profit!!!

this is a good list so i contribute to this comment with my opinion.

1) bitcoin is the best and there is no doubt.
2) ETH is not so good as it was before but instead ETC has a lot of potential
3) Digibyte has been one of the most profitable coins for sometime.
4) i don't know this coin!
5) i recently found Diamond and i find it a good investment
6) Lisk has a lot of potential but it is staying down on a stable price for some reason, maybe a huge pump in the future to 0.01??
7) monero is the hottest coin of the month and it is still staying hot but i think it can be at the end of its line.
additions:
litecoin is a coin that you should never forget about because it is one of the best coins which is also old and trusted.
9) some other coins similar to XMR have been a good investment too like shadowcash, ...

Thank you for those great responses. I never purchased Bitcoin and the current rates are too high for me to at the current time and may be too risky.

It seems Monero can only be purchased if I buy Bitcoin first.

Can someone point out to a reliable source or news which shows on why a cryptocurrency is going to do well ? for e.g. I was excited by the prospects of Ripple whose investors include Santander and Google etc.

Thank you for those great responses. I never purchased Bitcoin and the current rates are too high for me to at the current time and may be too risky.

bitcoin is the most reliable investment that you can wish for among cryptocurrencies and it doesn't matter if it is worth $1 or $1,000,000 you can buy a portion of bitcoin you don't have to buy a whole
1BTC so invest the amount of money you can afford to.

also the risks is much lower than altcoins.

It seems Monero can only be purchased if I buy Bitcoin first.

if you really think it is a good investment then go for it.
and yes the safest way to purchase monero is with bitcoin but there are some other places that you can buy with other altcoins like LTC, NXT, ... or some of the fiat currencies like USD, CNY although i don't suggest any of them but you can find the markets on coinmarketcap.com

there is no "reliable" source you have to find it on the news and on the forum and decide how reliable it is.

Red-Apple , thanks for clarifying. I was not buying Bitcoin since I thought I need to buy atleast 1 full coin worth but will buy now.

I am not into wild speculation and would prefer looking for reliable information before I invest. Can you or others share information on how you decide on making an investment / buying a cryptocurrency ? what kind of information is important ? and where I should look for reliable news and how I should judge on whether I should invest in a specific cryptocurrency ? what should I look for ? Thank you but Pesobit is a Philippine crypto from what I read online. It may not be a dollar worth anytime in its life cycle. What do you mean by interesting road map ?

That list looks fair and good for long term investing. But I will mention that ETH has some controversy swirling around it and it will be better to wait and see before making a big investment in it. I would like to add Factom in that list. They have made partnership deals with Data Yes, a Chinese data company and I heard the are making another one with a Wall Street firm.

I agree with you have bought some ripple coin, because it has clear fungtion, stable of price, high volume transaction, than another altcoins. I think you have to trade ripple more safe than another coins, and it not will become scam coin.

COVAL will release an app on its loyalty network in about one month that will essentially monetize podcasting. i.e. Gonna be huge. Podcasting needs to be monetized even more than blogging does so I can't see any reason it couldn't be as big a thing as Steemit which is worth millions. COVAL currently has a market cap of about $200,000 so the potential is huge on this one right now.
