XAPO locked my account? WTF! I have to provide a copy of my drivers license and a proof of where I live! Till then I have no more access to my Bitcoins... I don't trade, only use it as a "saving account" More people having these trouble? I hope I'll have access quick and guess what I am going to do whit my coins  |

If it is locked due to incorrect PIN attempts then its easily recoverable by your Email. |

My account was verified, using it over a year+ now.
They just locked it and I have to provide the asked documents...

I my self has been using it for years and i personally not having any problem from my xapo account. hopping that you can resolved that one tho. |

Overseas one took a passport as verify FYI. Just the way they roll now. |

xapo and coinbase really gives pain after you do lots of transaction and ask for verifaction. I also have account in xapo but really don't use it much so they haven't asked for any documents till now. What they say when you provide the documents they asked? How many days its been till you haven't got any reply from them, try to contact them again to access your bitcoin if you have provided what they ask than there is no reason for them to still lock your account.

XAPO gets shady now, I prefer blockchain.info, no identity verification and very safe with email protection.

With the blockchain till the moment they didnt asked me for any personal documents, and i had mooved around 5 bitcoins since i joined them, maybe they ask your credentials because too many transactions and high volume.

I've been asked to re verify by quite a few places. I don't see why I should. nothing's changed in my life. if I've got coins trapped in there then I give em what they want and then never go back. I make sure i'm telling them why as well.

i do not personally like the idea of saving your coins in web based wallets as you does not have any authority and control over your coins,they could lock your account and ask for your document and things like these can happen,the only possible situation here is contact their support and comply with what they what and find out what triggered this situation.

I had the same issue few months ago. But you have to be fully verified to use Xapo services. According to many regulations and provisions related tp anti-money laundering, counter terrorism and others they have to ask for your data if they want to run legitimate business. But related to any issue with you account you can contact Xapo support, they are very helpful.

I had a similar thing happen on a poker site.
They let me open an account, add a credit card, and deposit money.
Then, about 24 hours later, they locked my account and said i needed to verify I was the owner of the credit card.
Took a few hours but finally got account unlocked.
Its a little annoying to begin using your account then have it locked. Sites should make you verify right away, not let you use the credit card etc and then later lock the account lol....

Yup Xapo requires users to verify account since a few months ago I do not know for what reason they did it so contrary to bitcoin without identity
This time I did not use their services since my account locked but do not worry if you have the funds there they will return it via email
