If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin?

What you told is 100% correct but what if when Sathoshi can make Bitcoin and it gets this much famous then he can develop same another coin with more secure features then everyone will leave bitcoin and join that coins, as now bitcoin is facing the transaction confirmation block problem and if it did not get solved then we can see bitcoin going down

Yeah. That might happen when Satoshi decides to make his/her own coin, with better features than Bitcoin and taking over its current issues. One perfect cryptocurrency might come at some point in the future, if Bitcoin keeps heading where it is in its scalability debate. But now, I think that everything would be fine, even if Bitcoin's original creator is just a mystery. Just sharing my thoughts.

I don't think that a big impact will be experienced on the price if Satoshi reveals himself to the outer world. In reality he might have the source to get patent for the innovation. If it happens then this too will serve as a centralized network. So the popularity gets decline than growing. So it's good to be hidden.

Sure many will oppose him, but he will still have his cult following. Look no further than all debates about how bitcoin should develop with sayings like "this was satoshi's vision" and "this is what satoshi wanted" to argument whether a point is valid or not.

I think he can do so by not directly stepping into the shoes of Satoshi Nakamoto, but assume another personality. Resurfacing as Satoshi I think would rather take Bitcoin backwards, because it already moved on without  him and lots more division is sure to ensue

And what could he actually do?

As to me, he wouldn't be able to change anything even if he came out in the open under his real name (let's assume that Satoshi Nakamoto is the one). If he chose one side (say, Bitcoin Core as it seems to be his creation), the other side would still stick to their guns. If he assumed another personality and kept his incognito, no one would listen to him anyway. The only way he could actually change anything would be via creating an entirely new coin but given tight competition in the field, it is as unlikely. He would have just created another Bitcoin

Seems to me ~1 million unspent btc gives him a lot of leverage. At least so far he/they haven't wanted to use that leverage, but you never know

As to me, if he had 1M × 2000 = 2B dollars, he would have a lot more leverage and which would be more liquid at that. On the other hand, this amount of fiat is essentially dust and pocket money for most governments that may be interested in stopping or otherwise affecting Bitcoin (if ever). Therefore, on purely financial basis Satoshi would look pretty pale with his 1M BTC stash (it is rumored that some other dude has almost as many bitcoins, though I don't remember his moniker). Or maybe I just don't know or understand something, so you are welcome to explain what he could in fact do

Obviously this is unlikely but I can imagine several ways he could manipulate supply and price depending on his motivations. For example in the blocksize debate, lets say he didn't want the BU chain to succeed. He could dump the BU price into oblivion while using the proceeds to pump core chain price.  Or he could just make those intentions clear.  In absolute wealth he might not compare to governments but as a relative percentage of outstanding coins he is king

But you should have kept this idea to yourself because the BU gang can now clone the blockchain and exclude Satoshi's coins from it (or block them somehow, I dunno), for example, under the pretext of more even distribution (for the sake of the so-called "wealth equality"). Indeed, that would likely take a lot of trust from them but if their primary aim is to hurt primary Bitcoin (which might well be the case), they wouldn't give a fuck anyway. If they don't in fact want that, they should still think twice what to do with his coins

He'll not reveal his ID forever, there's just a too much complicated upcoming problem he's going to face if he just simply reveals his true identity and such a bad and not wise move for someone who holds so many coins.
Well, someone even considers that satoshi already dead but who knows, every year, there's always someone claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto but can't prove it.
Whether the impact which will affect bitcoin if satoshi reveals his identity is good or bad, it doesn't matter, the time will answer.

I think there will be a huge effect to the value of bitcoin if satoshi nakamoto will reveal himself as the real creator of bitcoin like showing his real face and real name then people who are doubting bitcoin will be more confident to invest their money and feel safe because there will be a transparent information for bitcoin.

Agree. I believe that there will be more confidence upon investors once Satoshi reveals himself giving positive results in Bitcoin's value. Still, there could be negative consequences which have been stated before so it would be a double edged sword for the pioneer cryptocurrency.

These days, Bitcoin has come up to new heights even if its original creator hasn't showed up its face to the public. While the scalability debate is still ongoing, it may all change soon as people start to migrate completely into alternatives which are faster and serve their purpose well for micropayments.

Maybe Satoshi could come to the rescue at this point, or perhaps it's too late. Just sharing my thoughts.

I don't think Satoshi can make something to change how bitcoin transaction works and manipulate the system of bitcoin, even if the government would really find who satoshi is it doesn't matter anymore, because each and everyone of us are the one that are taking control over bitcoin movement it is consist of multiple pool of people taking control over the course of bitcoin.

Yes. I've thought about the same thing as you, mate. It wouldn't worth it for Satoshi to reveal himself for the benefit of Bitcoin. I know that good things may come out if Satoshi reveals his true identity, but the negative ones overcome the positive ones.

It is up to this date since Bitcoin has performed well without its original creator, and I believe that it will continue to do so for years to come. The only thing needed to resolve is the scalability issue, but I guess the time will come for that to happen. Just my thoughts.

To be honest, no one knows what will happen. I think satoshi took a right decision to stay anonymous and make bitcoin, a people's currency. Yes, If satoshi reveals himself and proves that he created bitcoin then governments would definitely put pressure on him to regulate bitcoin. It's better for him (and for us too) to stay anonymous, at least at this stage.

Yes that will happen if satoshi nakamoto will reveal himself the government will put a pressure on him that will result for him to make bitcoin as a centralized currency and the government will be the winner and also satoshi nakamoto's life will be on trouble because criminals will try to kill and steal his bitcoins so it is good for him to stay anonymous.

Yeah. Satoshi wouldn't risk himself doing that, as it would endanger Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrencies. He knows what to do at the right time, so we should be confident that his creation will last for years to come.

Maybe someday, we would be able to see him active in the community again, helping Bitcoin reach a resolution in its scalability issues. But in the meantime, it is safe to say that Bitcoin has gone all the way from 2009, until today becoming stronger each day, even without his creator around. Just my thoughts.

yeah me too. nothing big will happen if satoshi exist and show the world his true face. THe price of Bitcoin will not change at all and nothing will happen to the world we live.
