Of course it is a currency because day by day it is accepted in the market. I belive maybe ten years later from now we will use these kinds of coins in every parts of our daily lives. Maybe it will happen earlier...
It’s already happening even major corporates are throwing more and more money into cryptocurrencylike every day you hear more and more big bois investing

Why do I get the feeling that all these people that proclaims bitcoin as currency never even tried to purchase  anything  using bitcoin.  Nothing shatters the illusion of convenience or  transaction speed of bitcoin  faster than actually using it as a currency .

For now btc is like gold, a source of value. To become a means of payment you need to solve the congestion and slowness problem of your network
I think bitcoin is the way better than golds. There are tons of golds out there inside of the Earth but there are a small number Bitcoin that we can mine more.

This topic was started in September, where we were somewhere beyond 5K.
The transaction fees at that time were already high, now they are even higher and the bitcoin price climbed as well.
Speaking of bitcoin as a currency is not appropriate anymore in my eyes.
It's an object of speculation, nearly nobody uses it as a method of payment anymore.

yeah i think so, btc will be source of shopping in the future and use of money, because of its savety and becoming widely accepted....future true for btc
I agree with this, but not only Bitcoin, but also a lot of other currencies with Bitcoin create a new era of virtual currency, surely Bitcoin will be a solid support for investors if Bitcoin continues. continuous development

Basically speaking, it is a yes and no. Since its value changes over time, it is a currency. But, you also use them to purchase goods so it can also be considered as money or virtual cash.

Undoubtedly. We live in the age of information technology, in a new era. And in the economic sense, the digital achievement is the crypto currency, which completely changed the idea of money and their capabilities.

This is not the answer of the question or the explanation of the major problem taking place in bitcoin. It's the new era of the digital age and we will see improvements in the transfer speed of bitcoin.

Yes, this is a new era. Who would have thought a few years ago that you can pay off simply by holding a card or by attaching a phone? A crypto currency is something absolutely new, original, unique!

I don't think earning bitcoin is as easy as you have stated. But this is true that these days bitcoin can be used in almost everywhere including many supermarkets to hotdog shops. Even we can book flights with bitcoin, on the other hand with bitcoin debit cards even in the places where bitcoin is not accepted directly we can pay there with those bitcoin cards easily. Bitcoin is evolution in the fiancial sector and yes it is new era of currenccy

Bitcoin is a modern currency but I think it is not the new era of currency because we still be going to use the different currencies to make our bitcoins.

Bitcoin can be used as another medium of exchange in the crypt currency world. It can be used as payment of monthly bills thru online such as water, electricity, insurance, telephone and many more. Many merchants in online accepts Bitcoin as payment for buying or selling of some stuff.
Bitcoin can be used to buy food but it depends if the store accepts it as payment.
Yeah, Bitcoin is the new era of currency because previously we used barter system to exchange goods and then cash and then credit and debit cards and now cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, but it depends on the government if they accept bitcoin, if they don't accept Bitcoin then no way it will ever be the new era currency.  It needs to be known, recognized and valued by government everywhere in the world to take its place as new era currency.  Bitcoin has the potential of being the new currency but without any recognition of different country all over the world, then it can't be the new currency.

Until now no country uses bitcoin in a massive and more dominant than fiat, it proves that bitcoin can not be said as a currency so I do not agree if bitcoin is said the era of currency.

Bitcoin fluctuates too much on a daily basis to be a currency. People accept bitcoin for goods now because they think it will keep going up and they don't want to miss out. If bitcoin keeps falling then vendors won't be taking it for payment because then they would be getting less value for it when they convert it to their fiat currency to use.
Bitcoin will never replace the fiat currencies in the world as all the world governments & financial institutions are bound to the fiat currencies. And they have been bound for hundreds of years. Also, there is not enough bitcoin to actually replace the value of all currencies in existence. Besides that, most of the 21 million bitcoins are controlled by a minority of individuals, not a majority and it's not really decentralized as the majority of the world population doesn't own it. The ledger is decentralized, but the crypto coin isn't.

Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash. Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?
If ever it would be approve by countries that bitcoin become the new era of currency..this would be going to a long process. Since bitcoin doesnt have exact value.there would be complications.and it will be hard to those who doesnt have enough knowledge about bitcoin.

yes, I think so, people in every year are always faced with changes and technology mining, there is a demand to change the way and pattern of life, all of them lead to digital systems, internet and non-cash network, so that cash position can be replaced with bitcoin and money physical diminimalisirnya will be minimized from the market, the advantages of transactions with bitcoin more easily safe and difficult to forge. but for certain people who live in the village, not necessarily everything can.

So many other coins want to try to weaken the position of bitcoin. This bitcoin has a considerable influence in the world economy on a person. Bitcoin has attracted many great operators. So bitcoin is potentially used as a currency. Once that happens then so many new coins emerge and maybe change the currency system in the future. Cool
