It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Unusually large buy support right now on coinexchange.io, including a bid for 3.4 billion PCN @0.00065000 DOGE. Don't think I've ever seen an order that big for this coin.

Market seems to be fairly active, with 49 trades / 300k DOGE volume over 24 hours.

That big 3.4 billion PCN buy order is gone now. (That's billion, not million)

Was half expecting we'd see the premine funds (from the old scammer dev) dumped. Unfortunately, market history is limited, so I can't tell if it this massive order was cancelled, or it executed.

Filling a buy order of that size would have netted about 0.4 BTC, which is pretty substantial for this coin. Shocked There would be very few people who own billions of PCN.

Probably previous dev. who else?

The project is super static, even though there are some movements in PCN/DOGE market.

I owned about 5 billion for a while... wish now that I'd kept them, 0.4 BTC would be nice! Cheesy But I bought them fair and square on the market, not like the original dev; he had 39 billion in his wallet from the very first block he mined. I'm sure he's made back his 'investment' by now.

It's interesting to see that people are still buying at 1 Satoshi in the PCN/BTC market, even though there's a massive sell wall (18 billion PCN @1 sat = 181 BTC) with no bids, and it's far cheaper to buy through DOGE (1 sat/PCN vs ~0.012 sat/PCN)

Oh, you had a big pocket full of PCN´s  Grin
Did the dev got lucky to sell 39 billions?  Roll Eyes

Yes, is calling my attention too that. Especially when last big movement from the past month in PCN/BTC was for 0.05BTC... quite far to reach 181 BTC in total for everybody selling @ 0.00000001.

What´s your guess on this coin? I can´t see much future since only PCN/DOGE market is live, and no other exchanges wants to get involved since the project seems "dead" with no announcements.  Huh

BTC: https://www.coinexchange.io/market/PCN/BTC  (not really worth looking at since everyone is selling)
DOGE: https://www.coinexchange.io/market/PCN/DOGE

I've updated the OP to remove megacrypton from the list of exchanges.

From the OP of this thread:

Mini FAQ:

Q: Where are my free coins? I was promised 555555 PCN when I signed up to the website. Please send them!
A: The original dev sent out a small number of free coins in late August 2016. He hasn't sent any since. It is not worth pursuing these coins because 555555 PCN is (currently) worth less than USD $0.01

Q: Why are people selling PCN for less than the $1 guaranteed value?
A: The 1 PCN = 1 USD claim by the original dev was wildly fantastic. It is not possible to create 39 billion dollars worth of value out of thin air. PCN is worth what someone will pay for it, and currently that is much, much less than the promised $1 value.

555555 PCN is now worth about 50 cents USD. A single PCN is worth a fraction of a fraction of a cent.

(This is based on the PCN/DOGE market rate. If you're lucky enough to have put in an early sell order for 1 satoshi on the PCN/BTC market then you'll get back more value whenever someone occasionally decides, for whatever reason, to buy PCN/BTC at 8 to 10 times the price of the DOGE market. In reality, most people will never see their 1 sat order execute.)

This coin went live over a year ago. You could buy it before then but the original dev (not me) threw a tantrum when he was outed as a scammer, and disappeared. I don't think he paid out everyone's peepcoins.

No ICO now since the coin is live. You can buy it on an exchange.

I downloaded it just from this topic. The link in your first message. Here is a screenshot:

It is in dutch but the translation is:

Sorry for the suggestion you may be a post bot. Smiley

Sometimes A/V programs give false positive errors for coin clients, usually because the client connects to IRC to find peers (computers infected with malicious software often do similar so that they can be controlled remotely)

To be sure I checked the hash of the executable on almightycoins.org, and it is identical to that on my dev/compile box.

Here's a fresh scan of peepcoin-qt.exe, which shows one false positive:

I guess you mean the DOGE market?

Even more surprising is that today there's been lots of buys in the BTC market. $1671.96 volume, sell price at 1 satoshi minimum. Someone is paying about 70 times the price that they could have bought at via the DOGE market.

Now why would you pay such a high price in a market that has zero bids?
