I think my worst decision is not to follow my friend's advice in 2014.At that time my friend introduced me to bitcoin, but I did not listen carefully, so I missed a good opportunity, a chance to get rich.

Even I did the same mistake in the past when my friend firstly told me about the bitcoin when the price was too low and I didn't showed any interest in bitcoin and ignored it completely but lately when I decided to invest in bitcoin it was too late as price was already too high so that is the worst decision I have made so far.

Right at that part when your friend told you. It is not you or your friends fault. Bitcoin is not yet established and actually we are just a low percent of the world who actually know it. Some might have heard it but dont want to get deeper.
If only it could be advertised more with some detail which is important then maybe there wont be another person that will be told but will just ignore it. Maybe they will be easily approached.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I've been slowly collecting bitcoins and went all in on ETC half a year ago, lost 80% of my holdings. I know that I will never be able to recover and most probably I have lost my once-in-a-lifetime chance to get rich this way in crypto, but got a good lesson learned Grin

I think the worst Bitcoin decision I've ever made is that when I don't believe in it 3 and a half years ago.

Of course we all have regrets, but it feels like I've have been slapped in the face when I've realized that it is growing and that time I don't believe in its potential. Worst is that Bitcoin price is much lower that time and I can afford to buy more in a cheap price. The information and a friend's advice is there and I should've listened. Imagine what I have been accomplished and learned when I started that time. Time is the measure of all things here including knowledge. I decided to slighted it that time and now I'm trying to fill in the gap and shortage of knowledge and experienced that I should've been achieved when I decided to start 3 and a half years ago.

I also did the same decision as you but not that very long time. It was just a 1 year when the price of bitcoin is ranging from $500-600 and i ignore it because i think it is just a hype and it will not last for long so i ignore it and now the price is $1,000+ and i kinda regret that thing because if i invested a year ago, i already double my money Roll Eyes.

Worst mistake was to gamble with my bitcoins in the past which eventually resulted in loosing a big amount of bitcoins which never came back to me and now after looking at the price of bitcoin I am very much disappointed for not saving my bitcoin for this time.

It is recoverable, but only trade an alt if you are happy to HODL it long term. ETC was and still is a big no. The community supports ETH and that was known before the fork.

I turned 4 BTC into 4BTC within the past month trading PIVX, and I still have 30,000 PIVX. Im HODLing these as I believe in the currency but I nearly sold them for 30Bitcoin s a week ago. I will review my situation when PIVX reaches $3-5 per coin and probably sell half of them. This may take a year or five but as I wait I can grow my PIVX balance by staking or by running 3 masternodes. Last weekend I gained 64PIVX.
Now I am a Bitcoiner and, will always have the majority of coins im Bitcoin but... if you are going for an alt choose one with good fundamentals.

My worst decision was I never buy bitcoin during the time ti dropped to 200$ it was really regrettable, and by that time I always ignored bitcoin and not taking it seriously. But, when I found out that it increases again it was too late for me, after that I decided to learn what bitcoin is even I know its will be hard in my part but I keep patience on it.

Summer 2012. Diablo 3. I bought in game gold with bitcoin @ $3/btc - Spent 90 coins for 500 million in game gold.

IGG = 35 cents / million now.

I lose.

/wrist

Yeah same.

I bought bitcoin a while ago as well, actually a few years ago. Bitcoin price went from $100 to $200 in a few weeks or months, can't remember.
Sold my bitcoin for $200, and now it's at over $1000.

Regrets...

Yes, if you follow your friends advice in 2014 to use bitcoin surely you will feel very different bitcoin price at that time and now. If the worst decision I ever made was when in 2015 I do not hold bitcoin until now. Though my friend tell me bitcoin price in the future will be very high and at that time bitcoin price $ 300. But I think bitcoin price will not be high and every rise will certainly fall again, so I'm just using bitcoin to collect money not for investment.

Those moments can't be bring back or re-correct because that is impossible. The only thing we can think about is how we can get bitcoin fast and how can we make sure that we will not do the same thing like what in the old days. So just forget those wrong decision and just focus on what is happening now. I'm sure that we are not late in this kind of opportunity and we just need some guts to still fight and grind.

My only regret is not spending my life savings on Bitcoin back when I first learned about it, when it was going for $15 a piece.

Oh well.

Yeah sadly I was a broke college student at that time and 0 is still 0. I did pick some up but not a lot at all. I regret not pushing my parents harder to buy more, but it just as easily could have failed and I would have looked like an idiot.

While I'm reading the older posts, I've noticed that almost all regrets is about gambling and how they lost the money in an instant and about how late they are to start bitcoining.
Well Im not really into gambling and I gamble sometimes but I've not reached the moment when Ive regret the money ive bet. Well gambling is a very risky game and along with that risk you must expect that the results maybe regrettable. In terms of being a bitcoiner, of course I've regretted the time when ive slip the opportunity when a friend told me about cryptocurrency 3 years ago and I think that the worst decision I have made in being a bitcoiner tho' Im not a bitcoiner at that time. But I regret that.
Every decision comes with a responsibility and that responsibility must be hug with your heart. Dont weep for what happened, lets just all improve and look in the brighter side.

The worst bitcoin decision I ever made was leaving bitcoin community in early 2015 and focus on day job and outside Bitcoin activities.  Since then I lost update on Bitcoin, price, technology, application.  When I think of those missed times, I feel like I lost alot of opportunity.  I am glad decided to rejoin the community and happy with the earnings from the opportunities Bitcoin gave me.

The worst decsion I made so far is panice selling my bitcoin. I sold almost 10BTC at price of more or less $800 since I'm affraid that it might dump more. Now, it's more than $1500 and I regret selling it so much.

Yes, You know what that was worst, because even me I felt that too, I did not bought coins before 'coz I was so confused if this will last like this or what but then look at it now, there were lots of people out here who celebrated their gain from bitcoin, making some profits just by buying coins before or earlier.

I put paper wallets in refrigerator and my mum trashed it away. Now probably someone has that BTC. It was only so 0.005BTC. Now I'm 19 and I live in my own house and I can here hide it better. No one can find it (time-tested).

I decided to sell my bitcoins but a week later, the price increased. Should have waited.
