Worst bitcoin decision you've ever made?

I got worst feeling when I saw bitcoin risen to $ 1300 this year. I knew about bitcoin since few years back but I never took it seriously. I considered it as fake or scam kind of currency. I have seen it from cents to dollars and today thousands dollars. I regret my past consideration about bitcoin as I would have earned a lot of money by now. So this year I have started focusing on bitcoin investments a lot. I am already gaining lots of profit. Well this makes me more sad because I wish I would have done this earlier in life.

I decided to sell my bitcoins but a week later, the price increased. Should have waited.

This sometimes happens, just can not accurately predict the price and I do not think this is the worst thing that can happen. It is much worse to lose in gambling.

Well my wortst thing that i've made last night was to trade my 100$ into forex trading and i get lost instantly i think it because of there event happening the million dollar its holiday and can't even imagine that i totally lost it all.

What kind of trade is that,could you just enlighten me what you are talking about,are you talking about forex or bitcoin.

The worst decsion I made so far is panice selling my bitcoin. I sold almost 10BTC at price of more or less $800 since I'm affraid that it might dump more. Now, it's more than $1500 and I regret selling it so much.

We really have a lot of fellows messing up with the plan as no one expected the price to be so hot after 2017,there was time when the price was literally having issues breaking the $1000 barrier and even i sold off all my coins on hitting the $800 mark thinking that i could get back everything pretty soon but then i have to wait for some time to get the coins back at $950.

it was a long time since I am in this wonderful community, it provided me the required information which I asked and I have given mine as return. in this journey of bitcoin I offenly made some mistakes and yet realized my mistakes one of the greatest was gambling. the greedy mind will always take you toward destruction and if you are planning to do that for earning then I will say change your plan now.

My worst decision - getting hooked on heroin. If I had saved all the bitcoins I spent on drugs, I'd be retired now. I also got scammed out of 20 bitcoins years ago when they were about $4 a piece. Still, se la vi. I'm off the dope and trying to invest smartly. There's still a lot of money in crypto to be made.

I think this is not the worst decision i think because you can be still buy bitcoins right now because the price of bitcoin are still keep increasing and the development still increasing so its not late to buy bitcoins today and make a future dream with bitcoin ..
For me the worst for me before is to invest my bitcoin in scam site like cloud mining site or investment site that i think almost all people here are experience..

Bitcoin is a good business, as of now I give time in bitcointalk but not too much. I think my worst bitcoin decision I've ever made is to not continue to learn more about bitcoin.

This is my experience, Last year october of month, me and my friend wants to learn to earn money online and I see it to my classmate then they introduced the bitcoin. My friend continue to spend time in learning about bitcoin but me stop to get an idea about this. Then after 4 months my friend earn more money and then I back in bitcoin then compare to their salary is has a big difference.
So if I start to learn about bitcoin at that time with the same hardworking I think I have a better life compare to my past. And I think I can buy what I want same as him.

when I hold bitcoin and while the bitcoin price goes up without a second thought I immediately sell it the most annoying 3 hours after that bitcoin up much higher. no matter how many times I do things like that I never get the maximum profit.

Yes, this thing is true, we cannot accurately predict the next pump up value of bitcoin, so in terms of selling your coin, it is so hard to figure out if it is the right time to sell it, unless you really need it. That was happened to me before. Predication of bitcoin prices is always difficult due to constant up down in the prices.

Well that's a common mistake for everyone.
To have failed seeing the potential of the coin...
If we had we would have bought hundreds of coins when the price was still in 5$ ^^

That is a really interesting thread, not only for experienced people but mostly for newbies in the bitcoin world!
We can see different stories, and thanks to it we may be aware of different dangers that comes up with using cryptocurrencies.

My biggest mistake about bitcoin was that I have bought about 700$ worth of bitcoin in 2013 but i have lost all due to the exit scam of the place where I have got the.
To be honest, currently those bitcoins would be worth really a big sum of money. It was around 6-7 bitcoins if im not wrong, so I would have more than 8000 USD.

I really regret that I have chosen that service
