Looks like what u have said has no fundamental difference with what I said. Not sure why did u say You're close, but not quite right either?

Because you said that a X% house edge means the house has X% more chance of winning than the player. However, that's not quite true in the generic case.

Let's say I want to 10x my money on PrimeDice. I have a 9.9% chance of winning, and the house has a 90.1%. That corresponds to a 1% house edge, even though the house has a +80.2% more win chance.

So it's better to think of house edge as "how much expected profit will the casino make" divided by the size of the player bet.
Yep. U r right. We can not make a statement like X% house edge means the house has X% more chance of winning than the player. I stand corrected. The statement should be...

A 0% house edge game is just 1% more likely to go bankrupt than a 1% house edge game.

I'm more than agree on that. Indeed most gamblers are losing not because of the house edge but because they can't stop in the right time. Even if you are lucky and you are winning you will lose eventually because no one can be lucky always. House edge has only little effect on that.

Blastabit.com will be a 0% house edge gambling site. But it is not released yet. It is a player versus player gambling game. That needs a pair of player in order to play this game. They are under development, we hope there released will be a blast. And i hope it will not turn out to be a scam site. 'Coz i don't know where they get there profit in it if they are promoting 0% house edge. If that will be ads, they need a major work to do.

House Edge exists only when there is a house. In player vs player game, if there is no commission, it can not be termed as 0% house edge. It is merely 0% commission.

House Edge is probability. Commission is certainty.

In House Edge, house is risking its money. In commission, house risks nothing.

If some site is making a player vs player kind of game then they could do the same they do with poker, take a rake of every pot, bet or whatever, or take a commission for organizing small tournaments if you add ads then the revenue could be even bigger.

Unfortunately, most people do not understand the very concept of house edge and confuse it with house commission. That is why u'll find many claim that a gambling site can not exist with 0% house edge, while https://www.chain-bet.com is running fine for almost 9 months now with 0% house edge.

I've done extensive simulation on the topic and studied the maths, it's seriously not a viable business. There's no way you can stay in business taking unbounded risk for 0 expected profit. There's a lot of psuedo-science around thinking that "greedy" strategies are good for the house, but it's simply not true. (It's just equivalent to playing at a high payout)

However, if you do it pvp way, then it's totally possible. Then you could take no risk, and match gamblers with gamblers. That could totally work.

But another way to look at it, even with a house edge running a casino is an extremely risky business. In the calendar month of October, I lost around ~402 BTC bankrolling bustabit, where the weighted average house edge during that month was around ~0.7%.

No sane person is going to take those sort of risks for no expected profit  Tongue

Check out gamblingsitefinder.com for a decent list/rankings of crypto casinos. Note: I have no affiliation or interest in it, and don't even agree with all the rankings ... but it's the only uncorrupted review site I'm aware of.

0% House edge is certainly not manageable for a fiat casino, since they have to pay a lot to employees, banks and security. For bitcoin casinos it might be worth it, if they have a huge bankroll and good deals on advertising of some sort. I don't think that we are going to see that any time soon though, since it would bring massive swings to casino bankroll with very little to no expected return.

Texas holdem is zero house edge, but the house takes rake fee, so you can think it is a margin game without house edge.

This is the only way a 0% House Edge could work; a withdraw/transaction fee. Otherwise, yes, I'm sure the site would eventually turn into a scam. They have to make money somehow.

Before i heard that there is a site with 0% house edge when the price of bitcoin is low but right now i think no sites can give you a 0% house edge it is because they will lose more.. and it is a business they need to win more than gamblers win.. and they own motto is just giving entertainment for people not for giving free money to them.

I have not seen a game with no house edge that is getting popular now, so with that reality I think it's really not effective to have that games. I don't know because I don't play all games as I am only limited to playing sports betting, dice, and roulette.

There is no way that any site will take this for sure although you have really great brilliant idea or may be thousands, because with this house edge that they can earn something. Without house edge what is the point of opening gambling site? Gambling site is also a business too and there is no way any businessman will let their business ruin even though they have a lot of money

very simple: 0% house edge only possible in two scenarious:
1. PVP games where the casino is hosting player vs player games and either takes a low comission from the winners or earns through other sources like advertising etc.
2.scam sites
even with a low 0.xx-1% house edge running a casino (if it is provably fair,of course) and funding the bankroll is risky as hell
besides whales winning there are also hackers and cheaters(Hufflepuff, anyone?) who will try and test your security and atnifraud system
and a host of users who think casinos could be their source of income, effectively leeching free faucets and abusing offers and giveaways
so it not all milk and honey in this business

0% house edge is normal risk for casino. more house edge is required for more income. i think 0% House Edge is can acceptable for casino.

But we can still not deny the fact that a Higher percentage of house edge(which is also for casinos to make sure that their house edge is still acceptable) means more acceptable on the casinos part(especially if they do have investors)

Like I said many many times before. Yes house edge of 0% can exist for dice and casinos because its not the house edge that makes Casino's money its people's greedy getting ahead of themselves and they end up going bust using martingale.

The one reason why 0% house edge ONLINE casinos dont exist however is because people can use bots instead and casinos won't make money that way, hence why there is always a small house edge on every site.

I think sports betting has no house edge. if you are looking for gambling sites that actually give you 0% edge. you'll never find it. after all, it would be impossible

Um but how can you keep a site live if you're not earning commission.

Never trust gambling sites with 0% house edge... Unless it's a temporary event.

No one would legitimely create a site, invest hundreds of BTC, take the risk to lose everything... For nothing...

A site with 0% House edge is a scam.
Unless it's for example for the 1st week of launch of course.

How would they risk of losing everything if the house edge is 0%. Maybe if the house edge was against the casino.

However even then due to emotions, greed, and newbies using too much martingale, they can still come out ahead.

But I agree with you in general. Unless its some major site offering 0% house edge, it might be a scam and maybe not provably fair and scam users.
