Why investing in cloudmining when you can buybsome hasing power from online rig rental sites like nicehash and miningrigrentals. Cloudmining and buying hashpower from sites has no difference. The only difference is by investing in first you are putting your money into a blackhole and while investing in other you are putting it into use and you can see how your funds are being used.

Cloud mining cointains risk and danger. Nobody can ensure that cloud mining site will run forever. Genesis-mining, hashflare,etc can turn into scam in a blink of an eye. Hardware cost much money but it never scam you. Investing money in hardware mining will bring you a lot of profit

Both are different and would be hard to answer. With cloud mining if you find a good company then you are fine, However with hardware you will have to invest large amounts of money initially  to get a profit only after about an year.

Lets just say it'll cost you more in a cloudmining but a hardware mining can be a long term profit. Like they said, it is hard to find a good cloudmining company because most are scams disguised as a legit company. Hardware mining on the other hand may cost you electricit and the materials needed but if you have your own mining gear then you can use that profit for a long term.

Hardware mining are multiple times is better than cloud mining especially for mining an alt coins. A lot of my friend are still do the hardware mining till this time and they're said if the hardware mining still profitable.

Even though it is not very easy to make profit with hardware mining it is the only answer to your question and you can't even compare it with the other option.Like others said before me cloud mining is not real mining but a ponzi in disguise,do whatever you want with your Bitcoins but stay away from cloud mining and similar sites(hyips,revshares) cause it is almost sure that you will lose them all.

Stick with buying GPU cards.  You can sell it back for atleast half the price most of the time.  Stickw ith the top of the line and newest cards so the value holds up the best.

GPU cards are not profitable at all. Even if you have the top notch in GPU cards your hash power will still be lower than that of asiic miner. And keeping on buying new cards will increase the loss further even more.

pros
you don't have to do it yourself so there is no sound in your home, and no maintenance and high electricity cost.
you pay and receive the profit by just sitting back and relax.
cons
the profit is so little, because the cloudmining should also make a profit so they will take a share.

pros
you get all the reward (you only pay a fee to your pool for example) but nothing too big.
everything is in your control
cons
you have to maintain the equipment, do proper cooling, stand the sound and have some place to put it all.
you will get a big ass electric bill
there is a need for a rather large investment to be competitive in this market.

Cloudmining  are just total scams and  not worth  for the money  and  dont intend to  put even a single centavo on it. Hardware mining would be good  as  long  you have a money to invest on and you have cheap electricity then for sure you would be profitable.

of course hardware mining is better than cloud mining, most of the cloud mining is a scammed site, but to start earning from hardware mining you need a lot of capital and plus there are a lot of maintenance fee, nowadays mining is not as profitable as it used to be, but if your country has a long winter and cheap electricity then it is recommended to do it

I woul d rather say that hardware mining is more profitable than any cloudmining sites out there since mostly or shall we say all of cloudmining sites who's been existing at these moment and from the past are turned scam, but in hardware mining is you really can see how the profit grows and you can assure that you can earn with it passively, but the sad fact for hardware mining is the profit for that thing is low and i think it will die soon since block halving really makes the difficulty even harder.

but the question is where is the legit cloudmining? honestly all cloudmining sites are scam. and if there is one 2 so-called paying cloudmining exist like hashflare etc. with them reaching to ROI is very difficult. I tried a a cloudmining service. Invested 0.03 there and after 3 months I only earned 0.001BTC..

Op, are you asking only a hypothetical question or do you seriously want to invest money in mining?

There are 2 answers:

1. If you don't have much money but you are looking for profit then forget about cloud mining - it is very hard to find legit service.

2. However, if have some money to spare, have place to host your rigs, build a mining room, your electricity cost is very low or you have access to free energy,

and on top of that you can spend couple thousand on ASIC miners then you may try to start mining BTC.

I would advise against both options though. BTC solo mining era is gone. You are late.

Agree, hardware  mining is  a lot better   compared to those  cloudmining sites because  you could able to see physically  that  you are  really mining compared to those  so called " cloud mining"  but the  big hindrance regarding  these   hardware mining  is  the  cost  on this  kind  of investment, as you said  you  would really  lots  of capital to invest into it because  its  isnt a joke  to build a mining  farm  on   your  own  and you must consider on the expenses  on maintainance  would surely cost  you.
