Hello !

Just found some info on dogecoinfah.com about the project folding@home

According to this, you can: " Help scientist simulate folding proteins and dig for cures. Compete with other diggers to earn Dogecoin rewards"

I installed the software on my PC couple days ago hopping to earn some Dogecoins.

Money wasn't the motive. I want to donate these coins.

Unfortunately I have some doubts regarding the fairness of the payments.

My FAH client shows an average rate of 7700 points per day, but in 36 hours I earned only 800 points...

And I didn't received any DOGE in my MultiDoge wallet.

My attempts to contact the support of folding@home was without success.

Shall I continue with this project or not ?

Has somebody received any [confirmed] dime from folding@home ?

Both concept and website look good, but I would say that if you are not getting anything to your wallet even with the purpose of charity, I think you should stop using their software...

They show that they already have more than 110,000 users using their software on their PCs, but who knows the truth behind???

Software ? That soinds strange. How can what they have be different from  a miner ? Seems strange to me. How is it even mining ?

It is not about mining. It is a process of donating your computing power to some scientists and getting back some rewards. Already BOINC/gridcoin is doing similar projects and reward system. Personally, I do not find these fruitful.

if that number is only for the f@h clients its most likely correct.

the concept is about the same as mining, you run your cpu/gpus flat out 24/7 to do workunits that represent protein folding. i did it a few years ago but it wasnt for any coins, it was purely a donation of cpu/gpu time to their cause.

Hello !

Thanks for your reply !
I don't think this is the reason for not receiving any payment.
According to my FAH client there is work for me:

07:28:10:***********************************************************************
07:28:10:<config>
07:28:10:  <!-- Folding Slot Configuration -->
07:28:10:  <cause v='CANCER'/>
07:28:10:
07:28:10:  <!-- Network -->
07:28:10:  <proxy v=':8080'/>
.....
07:28:10:WU01:FS01:Downloading core from http://web.stanford.edu/~pande/Win32/AMD64/NVIDIA/G80/Core_21.fah
07:28:10:WU01:FS01:Connecting to web.stanford.edu:80
07:28:10:WU00:FS00:Starting
......
07:28:10:WU00:FS00:FahCore 0xa4 started
......
07:28:10:WU00:FS00:0xa4:Folding@Home Gromacs GB Core
07:28:10:WU00:FS00:0xa4:Version 2.27 (Dec. 15, 2010)
...
07:28:10:WU00:FS00:0xa4:Project: 9032 (Run 112, Clone 0, Gen 256)

I ran the FAH program couple weeks and I didn't received a dime !
I don't want this money, I want to DONATE...   Undecided
Therefore I decided to stop using Folding@home

I used to work with @folding when ripple was still at it,and I'm getting paid in time, maybe something wrong with your support,if they are not answering you have to decide for yourself if you still want to do it,but of course electricity is not free it's up to you..
