I started watching the second season of Mr. Robot today. Immediately in the first episodes, the Bitcoin sign appeared several times.

That is why I came up with the idea to open this thread which aims to list all popular series and films in which Bitcoin, Altcoins and crypto currencies in general are mentioned.

the only Movie that i have seen bitcoin feature in it so much like in being the main story was called "Dope" it is a 2015 movie where a teenager used bitcoin to sell drugs anonymously online and get out of his neighborhood

There are mentions of bitcoin several time in The Blacklist all season but i don't remember all the exact time and episodes number. What i remember is bitcoin mentioned for ransomeware from drug mafia for drug deal and kidnapping as well as one bounty hunt created to kill Elizabeth keen in the series. And also it was mentioned in several other episodes as well as boards of bitcoin accepted here can be seen in many scenes.

Its really driving me. So bitcoins are screened and documented. Really awesome. Why dont we keep publishing more series or films on bitcoins so that more and more come to know about it. Media is the one made everyone and everthing popular. This is the main source to reach something to people of every corner at the same time. I am sure all bitcoin lovers who have money to invest can afford to create a new era for bitcoins via these medias. Wish this can happen.

I would love to watch once completing this task. How can this be? A team is formed from our community (bitcoin community), contributes money, creates a documentaries and brings them to the screens? We have a thread created by a dude stating, what if bitcoin stores are established in big cities? The goal behind it is to spread BTC worldwide. I am sure screening a documentary would bring more into bitcoin community and so on.

What is said about bitcoins here in these films? Want to know. So bitcoin was popular in earlier days as well. Though many come and go, the value is kept high always. Would love to watch more films and series on bitcoins. Will there by any chance for more films on it? We have many skilled on medias. This could be a key to spread BTC.

I love the first season and the concept behind the series. The second season unfortunately can not keep up with the first. It focuses more on the main character instead of further story. I was a bit disappointed. But still very worth seeing and recommended.

I'm excited and hyped since Coen brothers are among my favorite directors/writers and they are going to write the screenplay about silk road and Ulbricht's case I don't know if this is going to bring some bad publicity to Bitcoin but I am almost sure that the result will be great.

Well, I'm just quite familiar with Mr. Robot only. I haven't heard about these movies before. Maybe because cryptocurrency was not yet popular that time compared today. In addition, I didn't know yet about bitcoin last 2014, so I may not be interested with the movie too. Since I'm into it now, I'm thinking of watching those in the list because just out of curiosity, I would like to know if they are good movies about bitcoin.

mr. robot season 2 seems like expose bitcoin so much ,
they mention about a dark marketplace and several illegal business involving bitcoin ,
also in this series the US government was planned to create their own ecoin (e-currency like bitcoin) to solve their economy crisis ,
i love that part , they seems like trying to say something good about bitcoin to viewers ,
i just wish there will be more tv show like this! help people to understand about the future of money through a movies!
