The Movie "Midnight in Paris" talks about bitcoin.  (The father of the bride is an investment banker and talks about the "Silicon Valley Bitcoin Investors").

What's interesting about it is that the movie came out in 2010.

Bastille Day.

Set in Paris on the titular Bastille Day, a riot occurs in Paris culminating in the storming of a bank with the Police then counter storming the bank.  The Police are corrupt (!) and have used the riot as a front to access the bank's vaults to steal Bitcoin.

I should add my recollection of the film is that they steal "Bitcoin", however, Wikipedia says "Bertrand escapes with the USB flash drive on which the money has been downloaded" so this may need to be verified if anyone can get their hands on a print of the film.

I added "How to sell drugs online (fast)" season 3 to the list. The new season was released a few days ago and like in the previous seasons Bitcoin plays a mature role again. It is mentioned and shown several times. Bitcoin is the main currency used to store the value. I personally am a fan of the show. The third season was the best so far and the ending remains open enough that there is room for a fourth season. I hope for it.

The screenwriter is great, there are three parts.
I've watched it before and I forgot which clip it was, but the movie mentioned cryptocurrency and also talked about a lot of investment plots, and other plots are also very good.

I also added "Shiny_Flakes: The Teenage Drug Lord", a Netflix documentary about a German teenage drug lord who set up and run one of the most thriving drug marketplaces from his children's room from 2014-2015 before he was caught. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison and released early in 2020 for good behavior.  He plays himself in the documentary.

In total, he took about $4 million or 15k bitcoin in 1.5 years. Of that, only $300k in Bitcoin has been recovered by police to date. Only one out of three wallets could be cracked.  

The guy is the model for the Netflix series "How to sell drugs online (fast)".

If so, it is already in the list. The series is not very new either. The first season premiered back in 2016. Unfortunately, it was discontinued after 3 seasons, although there would have been more to the story. Too bad, I was a fan of the series.

scene doesnt explain anything to the un-initiated so it can be just glazed over and forgotten. surprised it wasnt edited out of the scene due to its unimportance to the plot for those that dont know.
