So my coins on Bittrex are not lost?

I believe it was stated that the 14th was the last day the Bittrex Coval wallet would be accessible for withdrawals. If it's no longer accessible and you didn't withdraw your Coval then I would try to open a support ticket with Bittrex to help with the withdrawal request.

But where to withdraw? Is there a wallet or something for COVAL?

You have to create and withdraw the Coval to a Counterparty Wallet: https://counterwallet.coindaddy.io/
This a pretty good video that goes over the initial wallet setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sA330X4VPdY&t
You'll need a bit of BTC in the Counteryparty wallet to make Coval withdrawals from the wallet down the road.

Thanks a lot, I'm trying this. From what I understood I need BTC only to move my coins from counterparty wallet not to deposit, so I think I can wait on that, or it's better to be ready if it will be listed again somewhere?

No problem. Yeah, you only need the BTC in the Counterwallet when you want to make a withdrawal from the Counterwallet.
I just keep like $20 in BTC on mine.

Transfered my coins in like 20 min. Just saying if someone else missed the delisting, at current date it's still possible to withdraw to counterpaty wallet.  Wink

Good for you. But compared to Nimiq's easy wallet (best UX! ready in seconds..) and browser based blockchain, it is just a mess with Coval and its endless ongoing work on an app.

Are there any news regarding Coval (other than those published in the Coval News telegram channel)?
Not seeking to put anyone in a hurry but Shannon talking about Coval being listed on up to four exchanges in the VERY NEAR FUTURE has taken place more than a month ago. And nothing has been heard ever after (except for a partnership announcement with a fully unknown startup company whatsoever)

Latest news is as per the pinned message in the telegram group or in the announcement channel. So if you have already been through both, then there is no additional news just yet. Only that which has already been published in telegram and medium.

I am no longer part of the official Telegram channel.
Got banned for pretty much nothing. I am just following the News channel. So I was wondering if Shannon might have said something in the official channel lately.

Of course not. But I find it ignorant of the devs that they expect that hodlers do all these inconveniences for extra money (fees). Their (project) coin decreased a hundredfold, got delisted - so that everybody has to move it to a counterparty wallet - it becomes an ERC-20 token, and now I should pay fees twice. First for a small coval swap, second for the remaining amount. Two years with no outcome ("Don’t look back, we’re not going that way!")

Man - if you put 400 bucks in it, it is worth 4 Dollar now. And now I should pay 1 or 2 Dollar for the swap!?

Of course I do not think they transfer any Btc to me. But I expect an apology and some Covals - as they could have easily bought Covals for 500 bucks lastly and airdrop them to the 300 hodlers left.

You sound like someone who has never lost money in crypto.

At one time, my holdings totalled about $190k, and a year later, those same holdings aren't listed on exchanges, and worth all of maybe $2000.  I'll happily pay the $1-2 fee to move my Coval to another chain in the hopes that I can soon trade it again.

Crypto is up and down constantly.  It has been ever since I got in back in 2012/2013.  You need to just ride it out and let things be.  Life is too short to be upset over a couple hundred dollars and some change for transactions.

Couldn't agree more...

@AlCamus: being in crypto, we need to grow a skin... A thick and tough skin. Especially at hard time, when coins are losing value like crazy, projects turn to be scams, exchanges keep being hacked and/or being liquidated like Cryptopia (with its f*cking owners). When it happens first time, it hurts badly; when it happens 10th time, you have to change the attitude. Depends on the scale (amount of lost money) of course. I hope you didn't lose too much on Coval. There is still hope Smiley

We all are in the same boat (including the dev of this coin), so I understand you very well. Lets relax and hope for the better. Both on this project, and the others we follow. There are still chances. On some of them I am sure the chances are good. Focusing on the positives helps to keep healthy nervous system and sanity. Keep strong. Cheers!

Poor. Sorry to say, but I don't think that anybody should advice from you - if you already made these bad decisions in the past.

I guess I just buy back my stake with $2 when Coval is traded as ERC-20 token and if it goes up I possibly do the swap with the profits.

Mate, I'm living paycheck to paycheck.  I'm not one of the rich ones that can drop $10k on a coin on a whim.  Don't mistake long years of continuous portfolio growth for being rich.

Additionally, my loss in portfolio value isn't due to bad decisions.  It's due to a changing market.  You play the crypto game as long as I have, and $200k doesn't feel like the right time to sell out when you know $500k is just around the corner.  Give it time and relax.  Everything is cyclical.  You wait long enough on Coval, and you'll reap the rewards of a coin that follows the ebb and flow of value over time.

Or sell out and walk away.  It's all up to you.

Hello,

after Bittrex delisting I created a counterparty wallet and send my coval there, now the coins are stuck untill I send btc for a fee.

Can we make the swap any other way?

No, I didn't ready any of the text before me.

Counterparty uses Bitcoin like Etherium uses Gas, its about $2 worth of Bitcoin to send to the swap, by the way the Dev is paying for the Eth on the other end to send to your ERC-20 Address

By the way, what are the transaction fees on Eth? $0.12? Wasn't it the dev's bad desicion to use counterparty - so shouldn't he be debited for the swap?

It is not bad for the devs if some Covals are burnt because they are not swaped. Less supply of ERC-20-Covals means that devs have a better chance to cash out, finally.

Just ignorant.
