Im happy we even have one that works in windows  some still don't or you have to use the pool it only works on and then it may not work as well as this one  even in this unstable state .so he can take three days if that means we get it stable ,

Hashrates using the silentarmy v2 kernel:

R9 Fury X @1050/500 - 35-40 Sol/s
R9 290 & 390 @ 1060/1500 - 32-34 Sol/s
R9 280x @ 957/1200 - 28-32 Sol/s

Overall I'm really happy with the performance, but fixing the stability so it doesn't crash every time would make it even better  Wink

I have r9 390 @ 1080/1500 and can't get more than 24Sol/s with 4g ram and amd sempron, in config changed 2 to 3 instances but no change, tried higher TC, same hashrate. Using 15.12 drivers Win7 x64, what am I missing here? Same thing with this http://coinsforall.io/distr/zcashclient-0.2.4.zip .

And on r9 280x rig, genoil miner just crashes on same mobo cpu ram, Application unable to start correctly, 0xc000007b . Same driver and OS.

Both rigs are at 70%+ CPU use, is that the problem ? Hashes fine with eth or previous algos.

Not sure about the 390's but my 290x reference are 1000/1125mem, -75mv core, with modded roms, 24ish - 34ish, @ 900 watts to the wall for 6 card rig V0.5 15.12 drivers on Win 10.

My 6x280x Vapours  1150/1500mem 14ish - 31ish @ 800ish watts V0.5 16.3 drivers Win 10.

And if anyone cares 5 Nano's 900/300 modded roms 13ish -20ish PLUS 7990 1050/1500 15ish - 20ish = 500 watts to the wall. They are running 2 instances on the same Win 10 machine.

4GB RAM cheap CPU's H97 or H81 boards

timeout 30
:start
taskkill /F /IM genoil.exe
cd C:\Users\miner\Downloads\genoil-zec-miner-0.5\genoil-zec-miner-0.5
timeout 10
start  genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u address.GPUrig1A -p z

What Sols/s rate are you getting with 290(x)?  (Clocks 1030/1250)

I'm getting just about 25 Sols/s and 7950 and 280 gives about the same. (Clocks 900/1500)

By the way Miner is getting better on every release, thanks Smiley

my R9 280 at default get 29 to 37  not the X version and seem to the holdiong at 30 with this version of the miner even my r7 370 seem to run better .

Okey, thats much better than me :\

I start my miner (7950, 7950 , 280) with these options, have you changed w or i from Default?

Code:

genoil.exe -c POOL:PORT -u USER.WORKER -p z -g 0 1 2 -f 0

(E8400 and 2gigs of ram if these matter)

You can't get 30 with a Radeon 280. Not even with a 280x.

that is my R9 280  3gb at stock setting water cooled

i use this setting sense everything else appers to be on by default

Code:
genoil.exe -c us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u ZEC address -p z

Nice man.  What AMD driver version are you using for your 280x?  Did you change intensity, work size or any other options?  Stock firmware flashed to card as well?  Undervolting?  Thanks!

Crimson Edition 16.10.3 Hotfix

here is the card i have
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131570

set at defaults including the software  miner. I may flash it to see what that does i was very impressed when support for older amd cards came how well this works, it went from using nicehash software hitting at best  10 sol to what you see when 0.42 came out or what ever version gave tahiti cards support .

Now i got 30 from my 280 too, 16.10.3 Hotfix did the trick, no change in 7950. Thanks for help Smiley

and for everyone else-> You dont have to install the driver, just copy these files to same drawer.

Code:
amdocl64.dll
amdocl12cl64.dll
amdocl12cl.dll
amdocl.dll
amd_opencl64.dll
amd_opencl32.dll

Would be nice to know what is the best driver for 290(x) Smiley
'

SO we get those files from Windows/SYstem32 correct? And we put them inside the Genoil directory?

download 16.10.3 from amd and you will find all files in
AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.10.3-Oct27\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B308236

but this still doesn't work for me, so I stay with 20ish for all my cards for now

I download the last driver 16.10.3 and for rig1 is working ok but the second rig 1 of the cards is getting only 5-6 s/s

How I can fix that?

after about 24 hours of test, I find 0.6 gives 0S/s for some of my cards more often then 0.5 which is never Sad ,
so switch back to 0.5 for now

plus, all my GPU usage is around 78% up and down, none of them is reaching 100% like mining other coins

IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Copy the entire directory of AMD\Non-WHQL-Win10-64Bit-Radeon-Software-Crimson-16.10.3-Oct27\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT6A_INF\B308236

Into the Genoil directory, will be like 100 files over 250MB long.

I used the Windows 7 AMD 16.10.3 NOT the Windows 10 like shown above.

I did all this but first rig is working from 22 to 25-26 and the secon rig 1 of the cards is working at 5-6... How to fix that? Thanks you in advance!

The cards in my first rig are 1x280x and 2x280 1 is 390
Second rig are 4x280

Not sure, but it might be CPU-limited in your case. I'm running my rigs on 8-core AMD CPUs.

The 280x rig started, problem was the msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll dll in system32/syswow64. Copied the 16.10.3 dlls to genoil miner, the 280x rig has about 90Sols (4 cards), so under 25Sol and the r9 390 rig (4x) is at about 90-110Sol but it keeps crashing and don't know how to restart it efficiently. The batch that kills the task every x seconds and restarts it, doesn't really work, any ideas ?

EDIT: the r9 390 rig crashed under error code 21, job not accepted. So basically an invalid share crashes the miner ?

For the 7970/280x, the GPU usage is about 85%. For the newer 390 cards, the usage is about 100%.

I have 5x 280x cards.  When you say 957/1200, does that mean Core/Mem?  Have you modified your actual rom file to those numbers and then flashed your bios with ATI flash or does 957/1200 mean something different and something you can set in windows?  If it is something different, can you tell me how to set those numbers?  I want to try your settings on my 280x cards.  Thanks!

I think the miners are not fully optimized for all GPU. For the new GPU such as R9 390, only 30% of the memory load.

Bit of a compensation that you get more out these older generation GCN GPU's with less usage. Have 7870XT which have seen couple of altcoin hay days still giving a run for the money for 390 with this zcash. Wouldn't mind to get that old hottie fully utilized thou.

EDIT: There seem to be other miner giving half of the daily income you get with genoil's miner. It's more stable, nothing good script cannot fix. As always in a world of altcoin, miners discretion is advised.

Wow I am really impressed with this new 0.6 miner.

I have 3 batch files now.  1 batch files launches two others.

Start.bat
Code:
start cmd /k call start1.bat
start cmd /k call start2.bat

start1.bat (runs my RX 480)
Code:
@echo on
taskkill /f /im genoil.exe
timeout /t 1
genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u name.miner1 -p password1 -P 0 -f 0 -g 1 -k zec zec zec zec

start2.bat (runs my R9 280x and 380x)
Code:
@echo off
set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
set GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
set GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

@echo on
taskkill /f /im genoil.exe
timeout /t 1
genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u name.miner2 -p password2 -P 0 -f 0 -g 0 2

This boosted my has rate up quite a bit but one problem with this miner is my 280x card will stop mining and the -f 0 is not restarting it.
I like it! I am running  "z -i 20 -w 64 -P 0 -k zec zec zec zec pause" on my 480s and it seems to restart but without the -f on it's own but the wierd thing is that I am tagged with a 0.05 thing when I launch the miner then when it does lose the threads the hash drops from my 100 h/s down to the 0.05. Super odd. still trying to figure that out but I am getting about 70-100h/s on 2x 480's when it is running (runs for 6 hours at a time). Mind if I ask what speeds you see on your 480? I tried yours but get stuck around 36h/s.

Binaries only, sorry.

So until the big boys are ready with their 100Sol/s cannons, you can mine some ZEC with this piece of shit. Highly unstable but pretty fast thanks to @mrb's SilentArmy kernels. yay

I like this piece of shit and the selling speech. Will tip when this rally ends.

Coinmine did the trick for me, running 24h there with 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6 without problems. It is cool and quiet here, they are waiting for solcannons.

Genoil, thanks again, my 2 cents:

Don't forget some of us are mining to your address or iam every day  this week once i found i could ) that about the only way right now i can afford to show thank you and  build my  farm and have all  it  paid for  and not bought on credit . I know a shame less plug my bad. lmao. just make it work if that's the plan so the ones that don't want use Claymore's miner don't have to when it comes out or have to keep using it im sure we will at first  , I'll will use if i have to and hate it every min , but that's life, i learn to like it. by  the end of the month with my other money that comes in and this i convert to btc right way i don't trust it so I  sell it as i get it ill have enough  i hope for 4 more maybe one more if i holdout for black Friday and look for deals.
