I hold KARM (KARMA) since 2014,
at the moment all my coins are stuck on Yobit,
I'd like to swap them (in fact there is no choice if the block chain is going to be stopped after the swap),
but I cannot - as you know, the Yobit wallet is in maintenance.
The rate of swap is being reduced fast, now it's 0.9,
a week later will be 0.8, in December - 0.5 - 0.2, in January 2017 - 0.08.
The Yobit wallet is in maintenance for months and obviously chances are low it will be alive in next weeks or even months,
anyway I would be able to swap my coins at the rate which is a lot lower than 1 or 0.9 at the moment.
Obviously no one will buy KARMA on Yobit if the rate of swap is decreased fast and the old blockchain is going to be stopped, on Cryptopia they already have stopped trading due to the swap.
That will mean many investors (including me) will lose coins, or in the best case would only get 8 percent of their worth (at 0.08 after January 2017).
Doing good is good...
so why not to freeze a rate of swap and wait for the Yobit exchange will put a wallet out of maintenance.
You can motivate them to do some work with KARM wallet by offering them a bunch of tokens you have produced.
Doing good and karma are relevant to this situation, aren't they?
Hello, I understand your disappointment about YoBit situation.
I just want to say that I sent in person few messages, PM and tickets and I had ZERO answer.
It seems that they don't want loose their time to answer "for free" and they provide a 0.2BTC or 0.5BTC payment to react faster. For me that's a shame.
For 14 days now, we provide a new Token, where enthusiasts can exchange the old Karma they have for the fresh KarmaToken.
We never say that we are stoping old Karma after the swap, as is it a decentralized thing. We will just stop to support and pay for Karma related services, websites or wallet.
Sometimes, people let their coins on exchanges for few months and then realize that one coin is worth something. Sometimes the exchange close and you loose your coins, sometimes the exchange doesn't respond to devs and customers.
This problem is a YoBit problem, and KarmaToken Society doesn't have to spend tokens for some private wallets stuck on private exchange, we are not sure they will solve the problem after having the money in their wallet...
I had millions of Karma stuck on Mintpal for months before they finally give back to me : if Karma had a 1000% raise in value in this period I couldn't have access to theses : coins stuck
I made the mistake to let coins on Cryptsy for months and finally learned the closing of the exchange : coins loose.
As soon as we provide the poll, to go or not go forward, CryptoTraderGuildGM, other guys and I wrote to YoBit.
I even asked to concerned community to raise 0.2BTC together and nobody answered me or PM me.
So,
I am sorry and I understand you can be embarrassed with this situation but we are not related with any exchange, and the first lesson when you hold cryptos is that a coin is only safe and yours on YOUR wallet and as soon as you send it somewhere, you take the risk to loose them in scammy or broken echanges.
The only usefull thing you can do is opening a thread on our reddit or on our facebook page and gather all people who share the same problem. You can come on our Slack and manage a gathering of all concerned people, then decide or not to collect BTC to send to Yobit,
without being sure they will answer and solve the problem.
