According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Hey Zoman, I hope that you can give us at least some slight info about next step. How is it going with zoin code? Any change?

Has he actually been active on this forum haha, and are there more dev members? Perhaps you could try to contact him via the website.

What's the advantage of Zoin over another Zerocoin alternatives? ZCash, ZCon, Komodo, etc? Can some comparison be provided? I think Zoin has the best name of all of them which is good but what else?
Well what about that Zoin is like Zcoin Zeroprotocol, others mentioned are zcash protocol (that is different algo) . Zoin is only cpu minable, which makes it unique, there will be no gpu or asic. Anonymity is better than what zcashprotocol offers (which was by the way only artificial created to make devs rich, there was created hype and Zcash now lives from that. Other there is nothing special..
Thank you. It all sound good to me. Just thinking why price is so low, I would expect close to ZCoin and similar? Any ideas? This coin is definitely worth holding... right now it's almost for free and there is no reason why it should not be in TOP100 at least right now.

Well Zoin needs some development fix and code changes and than we can start trading. Max price would be really interesting, we will see interesting development in next month or so. In the mean time we can try to get some top exchange, like there is already link for polo.

precisely give it some time, but i don't think that the price of Zcoin is realistic for now:p However I do think it can increase by a lot. But besides coding etc will this also be a case of good communication and marketing which is of vital importance within the current crypto currency market.

Yes nobody wants the price climb today. Cryptoworld is world of infinite possibilities. If you take good care of your coin, it can make you rich. But again we have yet to go some way with Zoin code and than it will start climbing.

Yes, the price is very low, but I do not see any better coin which can be mined only with CPU now. I was mining Nexus but after adding the possibility to mine also with GPU it doesn't make sense to continue with CPU. And zoin pool seems to be stable now, so I'm continuing mining this coin.

Well price of Zcoin (first of zerocoin protocol) was better before thay swaped to gpu, after price dropped lower. But Zoin is not going to be mined with gpu so we can expect that price can grow high. By the way Zcoin was whole community of devs, supporters, advertising groups and etc. Right now we are only a hand full of supporters here and a small group of devs. But I think together we can make it succeed.

Are you serious, how was the price better? Its around 7$ now, and it was around 0.5 - 3 $ when it was CPU only... http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcoin/

And why do you say it can not be mined with a GPU? Just because nobody made a miner (public) yet does not mean it is resistant to GPUs. It is as simple as patching the existing lyra2rev kernel to make a GPU compatible.

I like zoin and I think it can be a good competition to zcoin. But what you are saying makes no sense here...

Ok Krile my fault, I double checked and price after Zcoin swap to gpu mining went up, that is true (had to check it before). But max trading zcoin was at 0.011btc before as it was only cpu mining. Well yes one can try to make gpu miner for zoin, every one is free to try it. If you compare what mining hash rate you need to mine 1 XZC now and what was needed to mine it only at cpu there is big difference. But yes you are right, I am writing nonsense here..

I've tried many times to contact the new dev (zoman), but none of them success. Do you think what should I do to support this coin as a dev? Writing and publishing a GPU miner should help?

Most help would be that you fix the zerocoin mint function that is broken with zoin + address the wallet being stuck so often. This wallet will not sync from scratch right now, without the separate blockchain download it does not work. So addressing these issues would be better and useful then developing a GPU miner.

I do not understand zoman though, everything could be copy pasted from zcoin that successfully fixed this, its the same code (apart from the hashing algorithm).
