And why do you say it can not be mined with a GPU? Just because nobody made a miner (public) yet does not mean it is resistant to GPUs. It is as simple as patching the existing lyra2rev kernel to make a GPU compatible.

I like zoin and I think it can be a good competition to zcoin. But what you are saying makes no sense here...

Most help would be that you fix the zerocoin mint function that is broken with zoin + address the wallet being stuck so often. This wallet will not sync from scratch right now, without the separate blockchain download it does not work. So addressing these issues would be better and useful then developing a GPU miner.

I do not understand zoman though, everything could be copy pasted from zcoin that successfully fixed this, its the same code (apart from the hashing algorithm).

I think this coin has no future because there are not updates or new plans to develop this project.
To develop a good project it needs many factors such : key function of this project, Dev effort, community, investors...

I think this coin has no future because there are not updates or new plans to develop this project.
To develop a good project it needs many factors such : key function of this project, Dev effort, community, investors...

It might be better and fairer alternative to ZCash. Something like PIVX to DASH.

So main theme for this coin could be:  Fair CPU Minable Crypto Coin with Best Possible Anonymity Tech.

So far this coin has good name and tech. What is needed is larger talented community and more development power and other talented people around. But as someone said here, Zoin can benefit a lot from ZCash and ZCoin work and put it into more attractive cover. But definitely additional good devs, designers (graphics) and PR people are welcome. And proper and attractive roadmap is needed to get bigger investors attention.

You are absolutely right. Could you possibly advise from your experience what we should do in this case (ie. the 2nd dev remains silence and no contact back to the community)? I love this coin but I am really worry about the situation. I have some bad experience in the past, the dev are too busy and no time to develop the coin, and the coin dead because there would be no improvement and development at all.

You are absolutely right. Could you possibly advise from your experience what we should do in this case (ie. the 2nd dev remains silence and no contact back to the community)? I love this coin but I am really worry about the situation. I have some bad experience in the past, the dev are too busy and no time to develop the coin, and the coin dead because there would be no improvement and development at all.

From my experience this whole website with the countdown might have been just a way for a large bagholder to unload the coins and now he is gone.

For now its a stalemate, I think nobody that can read C++ and understand this code is a serious holder of ZOIN. So even if someone wanted to fix this that has the knowledge he/she has no incentive to do it.

One solution would be a multisig address where people deposit some zoin as a reward to the developer that would have the knowledge to fix this. "crowdfund" a developer in a way...

The other way is to wait a bit longer, this zoman guy might really be serious and he might reappear...

There have been some users who wanted to help. I think that zoman said he is not alone for it. But as was stated before, without proper c++ knowledge it is hard to do the code check task.

Did the devs go on Cryptopia and ask them why ZOIN is only 2 stars?  Contact support or go on discord app.  This shouldn't be a 2 star coin.
