The other way is to wait a bit longer, this zoman guy might really be serious and he might reappear...
Yes. Why we should even think that user zoin is no longer active? I believe he is working on it however one developer is usually not enough for all the work and it's also risky. Would be great if there is some serious investment and we could hire some small team of developers or find some volunteers in community.

I think the community must react.
It becomes important to rediscover the values of decentralization and each work for the good of the project.

It is necessary to give a delay to have a response from the dev
Then it will be necessary to react, if no answer then I propose THE COMMUNITY to take again this project

1/For this it need a dev to start and work on the technical aspect
2/Specialist of miner to answer and propose solutions for everybody
3/Then find volunteers to work in communication and marketing

Resume the site but create a new url for this one
Create a ZOINOFFICAL SLACK to make easy communication

Thanks

You are right. I hope that the current dev team will see this as a clear signal to become more active, because they are losing the momentum. I am more than willing to contribute on the area of marketing and communication etc. smbbm and I have already been working on a proposal for a new logo https://i.imgur.com/gcqaki1.png And indeed perhaps a new website is necessary, however, i am not a developer myself

@Deff
My suggestion about a backup server is still valid.

@EuroLiner
This should not be against your pool. If you also need a backuk server, be my guest  Smiley

It would be great if there is regular development update provided by Zoin dev every week. Dev, can you do it? Some brief overview what is going on - just simple post here would be sufficient for now

Well he has proved himself as a consistent poster and a professional person, there's no need to come up with a new update every few days especially if he has got nothing to share with you. It seems to me that Zcash and its forks are more like self-governing minimalist currencies, and do not require constant core changes. It just what it is and as good as it gets.

Well, I don't deny that but even if only one dev is working something, after one week there is alway something good to report (even progress on unfinished feature). It sends out a good signal that project is alive and under active development for community and potential investors. It also allows community to join some specific effort. It depends on subjective goals but as we all wish to see Zoin somehow to shine, there must be significant development, we are not alone here and there are many active competitors. And also such a report is proof coin is not dead and developer didn't flee (I've seen this happing to other crypto more than once). Anyway, as we can use source code from other projects it's mostly about active patching and updating + intensive grinding and works around (graphics, PR, ...) at least until time when Zoin finds and decide to find own unique path. To me Zoin could be something like what is Mint to Ubuntu if it is well done. It means it can more valuable than ZCoin and ZCash even though it uses their code.

I do agree with all what is above written. Even simple post from dev is enough to show living project and push it further. Right now there are users who think that dev left Zoin.

I have 30+ workers on zoi.digger.work and I only experience temporary outages/issues. I haven't had to restart any workers when they experience connection/stratum problems. That being said, I've seen both active pools have temporary issues.

I've used both pools, and they both seems to work ok. I'm honestly wondering if there are issues with the blockchain itself. I'm not an expert, just a hobby miner, but I wonder if it comes down to the pools not getting new information from the chain itself causing some of the issues we're seeing.

Well this is strange, I had to restart all my miners twice in 5hrs. Mining on https://zoi.acc-pool.pw, does anyone know why is hash rate falling down and miners stop mining?

I stopped mining at this pool now, I had to restart many of my miners daily.
Well I did reboot my miners to see if that helps, some required it. But restarting miners 3x a day is funny, wonder where is problem.

Deff, any fix for the pool problem?

Deff, What port is best for mining at Zoi.digger.work?

Problem in a cognition stage.
I have found a way of check - SoftEther VPN Client Manager - I try from the different Countries and really I see it.
Ports 49000 + were allocated to me by Internet service provider. They consider ports 3000 + not correct
