Someone is using founder address!

The original founders reward was 20% of the first 105,000 blocks. After consideration this was changed to stops early at block 5000.

The amount sent from the founder's reward was for a bounty. There is also a couple of other small promised bounties that will be paid from this address.

The remaining founder's reward will be used for bounties and/or burned.

He is explaining this because he was caught,but there was no mention this on the announcement,if he is transparent and honest,he will have told us in the first place.

Honesty is still the best policy.

If you followed to thread you would see this has been totally transparent.

He definitely did say this when the change was released, that it will become effective after block 5000. It couldn't really happen immediately because the network had to upgrade. Now we're at block 4039 and still 41% of network is on old version:

Will this split the network in 2 after block 5000? Everyone should upgrade I think to keep the network together. Or we'll end up with 2 block chains. Get on it friends.

I am trying to create simple but informative website and made someting like giveaway of some coins to users, already 9 users got coins. HoteiLife made faucet which I am also supporting.

I have found this Post about der reward for Dev.

After some consideration I decided it's best for Zoin if I end the founder's reward. This will shift the focus of Zoin from a developer driven coin into a community driven coin that can be a competitive alternative to other coins with the same technology.

Zoin will hard-fork at block 5000 to drop the developer's reward to zero.

Please upgrade your clients to 0.8.7.2 as soon as possible.

I tried the zerocoin feature.

1) Minted 1 zerocoin for 1.0001 ZOI. In this transaction. Second output is 0 ZOI but in raw transaction I see 1 "mint zerocoin" operation.

2) Spent that zerocoin for 1 ZOI. In this transaction. Has no input so I believe (?) it's completely disconnected from the previous mint operation:

Very cool. Are steps 1 2 really completely disconnected? Or is there some way to link them if you look deep enough?

The original ZCoin had

This would have caused the network to grind to a halt as height increased.

After some experimentation I changed this to:

I believe ZCoin's new parameter of 32768 is still too extreme. It requires almost a gigabyte of RAM to compute and takes in the order of a second to compute. Hashes verification is supposed to be fast.

Unfortunately the whole history of the coin doesn't fit in the subject line, but I changed it to "st.bl.5000", that's all I could fit in.

A bounty is a a kind of reward you give to people for contributing to the cause. I gave a small bounty for listing on an exchange and promised another for help with the web site. The other ~1 BTC costs have all come out of my pocket BTW.

Seems like a competent developer to me. Coin has gone well so far. Even an impromptu hard fork to better the coin done quickly & effectively. (Except half the network didn't upgrade yet, get on it guys  )

Wallet just decided to overwrite wallet.dat with empty one! Nice.. No backup.dat!
Also chain is reindexing all the time.
My coins are now lost forever.
