I’m busy with a new reward base website. I want to use a cryptocurrency other than bitcoin. There is at the moment to many to choose from. My aim is to get more people into cryptocurrency. Which one will be the best to use and I also want to know why? Your feedback will be appreciated.

Is there a reason why you wouldn't use bitcoin? I'm pretty sure BTC would result in the most users using your website. That being said, you can probably use this site to find the best alternative: https://coinmarketcap.com/If it was my project, i'd probably use BTC, followed by LTC, followed by monero (but that's just a personal opinion)

To be safe and your friends too I highly advice to only choose coins that are on the top 10 on coinmarketcap, they are more stable with a solid community and massive adoption

I think aside from bitcoin, i can only give you some insights. First choose a coin that is easy to integrate with your site, with development support whom you can communicate with whenever you encounter a problem. Also, chose a coin whom your clients prefers or has a bigger community support.

I don't know when you want to start running your website, but there is an on-going ICO "INCENT" it is loyalty tokens, the team seem to know what they want and should soothe what you are looking for because it seems designed for thesame purpose

Choose those alts that already established a good support by the community such as those alts that already been accepted by some of the famous bitcoin platform today such as gambling sites. Some are ETH, LTC, DASH, Monero etc. Don't mind the current price of those but rather the usage of it and possible bright future for them. Just think that why those famous platform system like gambling sites choose those coins as one of the cryptos accepted in their site? Meaning it was taken on the table or maybe a requests from the users.

Confirmation time takes too long. Most alt coins confirmation time is faster. 2. Fees. If Bitcoins go up in value the fees will be higher. I’m not sure if the fees will change in the future. 3. Green. Bitcoin use over $300,000 worth of electricity per day. 4. The centralization of bitcoin. The harder algorithm and if the price do not go up then the more centralise bitcoin became. Most alt coins is not use and is only there for trading and pump and dump and do not have real economic value. There are a lot of coins that are better than bitcoins and a few with real world usages. I want to take one and see if I can give it real value and usages.

You will most likely chose a BTC clone, since will be easier to implement on your website. But you dont really need another BTC there. Just stick with having only BTC and you will do fine. But if you really want to have an altcoin on your website, chose Monero to give your users ability to pay secure, private, and untraceable. To get monero you will need to run an extra mile, since Monero is not just another BTC clone. Similar effort you will need to make to implement ETH.

Thanks for the advice. Just to get the right coin. Busy with a short list then I’m going to see how the support is and create a pros and con list.

ltc - stable and easy to cash out anywhere in large amounts.
Most websites will only accept btc or ltc at this point.

I think its a good one to start with indeed because its more stable and also more acceptable, due to the fact its more stable also less more risky than the other altcoins what is nice.

There is no other cryptocoin to use except bitcoin if you really plan to set up a reward based website. You will be wasting your and your users' time by giving them something else. Also using another coin other than bitcoin will not attract that much people because most of them will prefer and make some effort to have it.
If you really want to use another coin, then use LTC because it is accepted in some gambling sites. XMR is also good because some Alphabay merchants accepts it as payment. I also think ETH is accepted in some gambling websites.

Choose a real currency not an ICO scheme gimmick Ponzi profit system.
They call what ever is dumped in here for profit currencies but in reality they are all not.
The fact there is 7,000 ANN topics here roughly should answer every possible question anyone could ever have about "crypto"
Such as ? Which one to use ? Me ? i'd be looking at coin #2 or coin #6 etc Not coin no 6,213.

ETH perhaps is the most used this time. Most of the tokens being created these days are using ETH network and so if they are using it, you might as well do becuase most probably will dominate later.

IN some other point of your statement that is true and correct, Aside from what you said I don't hear any bad issue about in ethereum. Moreover ethereum in just a matter of short time eth surpassed Ltc and other altcoin that has been here for a years. So try to use it and it has many feature that it can give to any investors here.

I am sorry, but I don't understand your point of view. You said that you want to bring more people to cryptocurrency. That's amazing. Yet, you want to divide their attention and introduce them to various altcoins on top of that? Isn't this counterproductive? Cryptos other that bitcoin has no real life use. They are mostly speculative assets.
