The truth is yolodice team have tried after running the site for four year they are still able to come out to inform users and giving time for fund to be withdraw thanks team
it is their obligation and nothing to tackle about that , and besides YoloDice have proven themselves for being one of the most trusted gambling site in crypto History and they want to preserve that and I'm sure they have still plan in the future so Running with the funds of people is not that good idea and won't help them for the future plans.

I will continue to use bustadice to play from now going forward.
But about this ? you seems like Shilling for your Own Company since you are wearing their banner and that is not a good attitude HiJacking the other ANN Thread for your own promotion , Why not post in your Own ANN here

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2219681.0

And Pay respect as the Team and users here have their own issue to solve for now.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

That's a normal thing for a company to announce its closure. Because they have users that have huge funds stored not only on their balances and also for their investor's sake. See you again yolodice if you come back.

We might see Yolodice to be back considering that Ethan is looking exploring other options or atleast have started to think about it. Which means some or others they would be brainstorming on it and later on they have to execute it. So, staying positive with the last message from Ethan that it is not a permanent break, but just temporarily suspended.

The site was very successful in that 4 years, they are closing due to the personal issues because it is getting more stressed to keep involved in the development all the time. They gave enough time and also changed the withdrawal system for better convenience than before.

They already provide the answer about why they decide to closed down their long time business. but now seems the fee's is low compare before and I think it's healthy again for those casino especially with yolodice to accept since many users now are doing fine with the current fees, maybe for now they are watching the condition and soon I think they will be back with better features to their players.

According to the roadmap, at least users are still given until the 15th to withdraw their balance. Active users of course know this info but ethan and the team seem to be giving extra time to users who may not be very active but still have a balance there. Anyway, I really like how they give their loyal users time, because if they close the site suddenly and are not given enough time then of course it will hurt because I experienced that before.

They have the email of every user who registered on their site. Wouldn't it better if they would email everyone and notify the last day to withdraw. I know some people keep funds on gambling site and are not active on the site. However, everyone checks their email daily. This way 99% of the users will be able to withdraw the funds before the deadline.

this is what every gambling site should do before they totally disappear from the community. let their players do their final business affairs and give them enough time to get their money back. unfortunately, only few gambling sites can do the same.
so in case, yolo team will come back to the gambling community and present a new project, they are very much welcome because they exited in good terms. they are leaving good reputation to the community and that i think is one of their legacy in this dice community.
They're always welcome and for sure, just as they've announced their closure. Every players that are registered to them will be informed about it.
And as well as this thread, but for now, let's give them time to do what they are 'bout to do.

This is just normal, healthy behaviour from their side. Sometimes, financial gains can't outweigh the cons that scam carries. Yolodice is a team of good guys and it's not in their mind to scam people, they were operating and doing their business honestly, I haven't seen anyone complaining that Yolodice is a bad or scam website. It's sad that we miss such an amazing team in not only crypto but overall in the gambling industry.
They have earned the trust and in case they return in this industry, they'll succeed even further!

As far as I know, YOLOdice did everything to be able to inform every user about YOLOdice closing so they can get their coins out before the web turned into static. Good thing, even though some users wasn't able to withdraw their funds before the closing of the site, they can still request for it through reaching their support.

Late to the farewell party here, I was tagged by a friend I actually introduced to the site a couple of years ago! Always been and will always be interested in a form of public bankroll for dice and I think this people will realise how cool it really is if we hit on a really good way to implement it.

Seems like things didn't work out in terms of variance for Yolo towards the end, but I think in general dice investors understand the long-haul concept (we're hodlers too maybe?).

I don't want to mention dirty words here either but I think there's a lot of potential in dapps, smart contracts and some of those "defi" mechanisms that would really help solve some of the issues with staking and "governance" type considerations and reward distribution, etc. Certainly for dice, it would help with staking and ownership rights and redemptions. Almost like a bankroll mirroring a liquidity pool, with the same transaction fees and commissions distributed to pool contributors.

And just like stakers can adjust stop loss and limit orders, maybe individual contributors can set max loss they're willing to accept, and max leverage etc... all giving the person betting in real time his max possible bet and winnings.

I'd be interested to work with something like that myself! Time for old dice people and old dice players and investors to come together and build a better dice?

Maybe indeed! But the challenges are just enormous, and not only technical. Most people would agree it's not even possible until someone just proves them wrong...

interesting you say that cause I thought I remember clam going from like .0001 btc to over .01 btc at one point plus staking I mean if you played it out right could have made more than a few bucks

*and yeah LTC got hit super hard Sad

Yeah, the problem is that I bought those CLAMS high. I don't remember the exact numbers but I lost like 70% even considering casino profits. And well, it could have been worse as it has kept on dropping.
Part of the investment is to Lose or win , its just happen that You lose mate .

But anyway Time has come , just few more days and the History of YoloDice will finally close to an end.
Honestly casino investment as a regular person has always been a bit of a difficult thing to do, not just in just-dice or yolodice but definitely something that is difficult to handle for a regular person because those ups and downs are double down as well.
and this is the best example in which will probe how hard to invest in gambling sites

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5254959.0
The OP @snipie had indicated everything with transparency and clarity every movement of His investment to show everyone how can this run and how to end.

Maybe it is enough that people now see its difficulties and risks.

So, it's official now. YD is suspended.

If you have an account on YD, you should:

1. Close any investments you might have,
2. Withdraw your coins to any external address.

You still can:

1. Stay with us in Chat for a few more days,
2. Subcsribe to our email list - we'll email you if we start any new project.

I am quite surprised by the amount of positive feedback I am getting. I've been trying to run YD the best I could, but still I am astonished by some feedback I am getting. It's awesome. Looks like we really made a difference in the crypto-gaming world!

Cheers,
Ethan

Many always think about if you can't beat the house join them that's why many think about possible good earnings if they invest with the house. We know how big risk for investing it but I think it's still good compare to think about investing on hyip or others where we cannot assure that we will get our profits.

Maybe on next time around for this events people now can decide if it's really worth to invest on gambling site or not.

Ethan
