Flound,
Do you know which port you will open the moon pool on?
To answer my own question:  3358
Announced at https://mooncoin.wordpress.com/

Id like to see official word from MP Admin.  Those of us that have been using MP for a while now would trust it coming from MP Admins over the site of a new coin.

So why is cgminer showing the direct ports for WDC and Doge as dead?

Looks like people are still mining, but I can no longer connect.....

Server Stats - BTC
Pool Hash Rate   11,399.904 Gh/s
Pool Efficiency   87.21%

Maybe it's time to leave P2Pool? And go back to the dedicated pool that MP originally had, now that we have 11 TH/s  Tongue

11 TH now is less than we started with when you take diff into account.

However, I will be setting up a second multiport that points at a dedicated BTC pool and let people switch over if they like.   This should solve most of the issues with stales, and some ASICs, and hopefully allow the SHA-256 multiport to grow larger.

Multipool - Always mine the most profitable coin - Scrypt, X11 or SHA-256!

can't connect to stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:3352.
stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:3352 works, but gives a lot of rejected shares :/

can't connect to stratum+tcp://pool1.us.multipool.us:3352.
stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us:3352 works, but gives a lot of rejected shares :/

Kinda opposite here.. and kinda same then again..  Grin

Us pool works giving only few rejects, but eu pool.. can give up 50% rejects pretty much randomly. One round more, other less. Changing to us pool fixes the problem, zero to some percentage of rejects.

Started mining today and have been fiddling with gpu settings.. being kinda difficult, as things seemed more or less random.  Huh

EDIT: Being mining on scrypt stratum multiports.

EDIT2: Eu pool also cutted connection quite regularly, so far us has being stable.

Dear readers,

I have been using multipool for a while now for scrypt-based mining and i`m very pleased with the result.

Today I`ve bought an asicminer cube (bargain), though I cant seem to get the stratum proxy to work.
All my stratum settings to the cube are correct since it works on btcguild's pool.

Below is the code of my .bat script to start the mining process, though it fails to connect.

Code:
cd D:\Apps\Bitcoin_minen
Stratum_proxy.exe -o stratum+tcp://pool1.eu.multipool.us -p 8888

Who could help me?

Multipool acts as a sort of "pass-through" for p2pool when it's mining BTC, which has known issues with stratum_proxy (both .py and .exe, to my knowledge).

Until flound makes a separate BTC pool, to use multipool you'll have to use bfgminer's proxy or simply lock your mining to one of the other SHA-256 pools.

Um... what happened to MOON blocks 50 through 1080?  Did they not make it into the database?
I don't think any other pools were up during that time as all the other blocks during that time went to Multipool.

Something just happen the the website?  It all went to a blue background???  The IP address where different also for mining?  It appears to be back now.  Was like that for a few minutes.

In any case, the website seems to be moving a lot faster.  Last few nights I was on, took forever to move around the pages.

I am using a scrypt miner with multipool.  Maybe I am missing something but DOGE is not the most profitable coin.  I mined at 1.5Gh yesterday and today.  I split the miner's time between the multi port and the Worldcoin port.

DOGE = .008 BTC
WDC = .012 BTC

Am I missing something here?

What exchange did you use and what about the rates?

The rate used by multi pool is listed in the table, so you should be able to compare the rates at the exchange and as calculated by multi pool. Such a difference is strange indeed.

You should also try the profit snapshot

I used CoinEx for both coins. I was able to mine 11,000 Doge and 21 WDC in the same time frame. I just double checked the math using the listed rates.

Doggie should NOT be number one for 80-90% of the day. At this very moment the profit #'s for DOGE is 38 and for Diamond it is 66.

matt4054: It's been about an hour since I requested a manual payout. However, the balance had already passed the auto payout threshold I set of 50,000 coins by at least 700,000 coins.

About the Moon coin release: My miners were connected from the beginning to multipool and I saw hundreds of blocks found by my GPUs and 'getting new work' messages in cgminer. That continued literally for 2 - 3 munutes. My hashrate is 18 MH/s. All I got in the account is 400K MOON. Hundreds of blocks found (because of the low diff) at 1 mil average payout even with many users connected,my account should have tens of millions (whether such a low diff and multi hour difficulty retarget is the right way to release a coin is a different question Smiley )

Shame on this scheme by the moon guy/s and multipool.us

One thing is to have technical issues with a coin release, other is purposely to lie (my modem was DDOSed), cheat (not providing compiled clients or even coin sources), cover evidence (blocks missing)

I always wondered that some hidden hashpower is mining directly WDC on multipool. It can be clearly seen at STATISTICS tab. Are they smartest part of?...
