I wonder does anybody know how many confirmations needed for doge and dmd on cryptsy and vircurex ?

Hard to predict for cryptsy.  I'm sure there's a set number, but whether the exchange is working right or not and makes them accessible is a different story.

Vircurex should have it listed.  But I just looked, I don't see it.

I believe Coins-e is 10 or less.  (It's what I use.)

M

For me it's all over the place.  Right now I have 3 stuck - 539, 383, 274 confirmations from Jan 1st.  I see it as low so far as 26, and as high as the 539.  I had one sitting from Dec 31's and that one went today in the afternoon.  I did send a email a while ago to ask them, and they said there was no hard number.  Just "network turn-around time".  I call bull, but what ever.

Cryptsy is one of the worst exchanges I've personally used. They charge 3% to sell, + another 1% if you use their automatic sell on deposit option. My coins can take anywhere from 12 hours to 6 hours to show up. It can take 2-4 hours to get my BTC out of that place. Compare that to Vircurex, they charge 2% and my coins show up in 10 confirms, literally 5 minutes wait. When I withdraw my BTC from Vircurex. It hits my coinbase account before I can even refresh the page. You can make your own decision as to what you prefer. Vircurex's prices are usually a little bit lower than Cryptsy, but by the time you add back the 2% your saving it works out to the be the same. Plus you don't need to pop a blood vessel trying to place a trade Wink

They don't do auto sell, one nice thing I do like.

And most sites I find don't want you to send from your mining account to there site.  They want it from wallet only.

I look at it as a growing market.  Only been around for a few years, stock market been around for 200.  I hope with time, will come improvements to the sites and better trading.

US East pool server is up at us-east.multipool.us

Added new A record for US West pool us-west.multipool.us

pool1.us will now DNS load balance between east and west.  If you want to make sure you go to a particular area, please change your miners to point at that pool directly.

I pointed one miner to east.  Been there ~20 mins or so.  cgminer says this:

Code:
Pool: stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777
 Queued work requests: 21
 Share submissions: 99
 Accepted shares: 98
 Rejected shares: 1
 Accepted difficulty shares: 9408
 Rejected difficulty shares: 96
 Reject ratio: 1.0%
 Items worked on: 82
Discarded work due to new blocks: 38
Stale submissions discarded due to new blocks: 0
Unable to get work from server occasions: 4
Submitting work remotely delay occasions: 0

That unable to get work part is the concerning part.  Here's another server I've been on for 24 hours:

Code:
Pool: stratum+tcp://stratum.dogehouse.org:3333
 Queued work requests: 2601
 Share submissions: 3961
 Accepted shares: 3901
 Rejected shares: 60
 Accepted difficulty shares: 954452
 Rejected difficulty shares: 15915
 Reject ratio: 1.5%
 Items worked on: 8133
Discarded work due to new blocks: 5211
Stale submissions discarded due to new blocks: 0
Unable to get work from server occasions: 0
Submitting work remotely delay occasions: 0

Is this just the nature of being multiport?

M

I mine at Kano's Pool because it pays the best and is completely transparent!  Come join me!

It's possible that it falls below BTC profitability at payout, but no one can predict the market

You can still use the BTC port to be safe if you don't want to take chances.

Adapted from my intro post:

Wondering why DMD listed but "Not enabled"?

The other night, CoinWarz reported that it was up to $50/day! I know that profitability fluctuates, but its been on DOGE non-stop for days. I think it should have switched to DMD, at least for the burst, then switched back to DOGE, so that we can collect more of the various coins? Otherwise, it's just a DOGE pool.

Also, I've been watching CoinWarz pretty closely, and have noticed a trend: Netcoin is in the Top 5 for profitability most of the time! Why isn't this one added to Multipool?

Thanks for the great service!

According to dustcoin.com digitalcoin is 333% more profitable then all other crypto's.
Why doesn't DGC show up on multipool as one of the more profitable coins?

If you go to http://www.coinchoose.com/
DGC (2100%) is less profitable than LTC (2220%).

Cryptsy certainly has its problems, but they don't charge 3% to sell - it's 0.3%.  And the autosell is not 1%, it's 0.1%.  That doesn't seem to egregious to me, but to each his own.

The timelines are also not as bad as what you say anymore, but still slower than I'd like for the most part.  Usually it takes 30 mins for coins to show for me anymore.  Getting BTC out does seem to take up to a couple of hours at times, however.

What a waste of hashpower.

It appears your switching algorithm is not taking into account block generation on PPC.  Merged mining on ghash.io or guild averages a higher daily payout than multipool.us (based on 160Ghash) Anytime spent not mining PPC is much more profitable.

The ORIGINAL automatic profit-switching pool!   Cool
Website: https://www.multipool.us/

Features:
  • Actively Maintained
  • Port 80 &443 Mining
  • Proportional reward system
  • Profit-switching port 7777 switches between scrypt coins based on coin profitability - point your miner there and always be mining the most profitable coin!
  • Port 8888 switches between SHA-256 based coins
  • Redundant EU and US Servers
  • User-selectable share difficulty from 16 to 512 on scrypt and 1 to 512 on SHA-256 coins.
  • Load Balancing - High capacity and redundant
  • Transparent, detailed block payout stats
  • Stratum and Getwork
  • Reasonable 1.5% fee
  • Pretty graphs!
  • Blocks are paid early for most currencies.
  • Android app available! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=appinventor.ai_david_morley.Multipool

Currently offering the following coins:

I just connected 10 Blue Fury ASICs to multipool. They show a combined 25 GH/sec hashing speed based on bfgMiner.  But Multipool is only reporting 17187   Mh/s.  What am I missing.  Also, the theoretical pool payout calculations are way off.  I have been mining for 3-4 hours and still no payout.    Can anyone explain the huge discrepancy in hash rate and who can point me to a better paying pool?

Regarding the pool efficiency.... Can anyone please explain what math algo is used to calculate coin profitability?  Why am I always seeing lower numbers than profitability?  Why is my miner hash rate always significantly higher than pool is showing?

Does anyone else notice a major discrepancy in all pool calculations, compared to actual numbers?

Did DOGE rewards half or something? I've added 600 khash to my rig and I make less coins now than yesterday.. I hate the coin, so the sooner it drops off the multipool the happier I'll be Smiley

If you like what I've posted, mine for me on whatever algo you like on www.zpool.ca for a minute using my bitcoin address: 1BJJYPRcRPzTEfByCwkeJ8SCBcrnGD1nhL
