My rejects are running 38 to 47%  Huh  Shocked  Angry

And a miner died of an unrecovered stratum disconnect  Cry
Restarted miners and 30 minutes later dead again from unrecovered stratum disconnects.

Am I the only one afflicted with this scourge?

Can you post your settings?  And which pool are you using?

Flound, do you have multipools MEC client updated?

I updated earlier today.

I too am experiencing less than 50% efficiency reported on DGC.

as of 10min ago:
10 Minute Hash Rate   540 Kh/s
Valid Round Shares   1920
Invalid Round Shares   2048
Your Efficiency   48.39%

As of now:
10 Minute Hash Rate   533 Kh/s
Valid Round Shares   1408
Invalid Round Shares   2304
Your Efficiency   37.93%

My client is reporting only slightly higher than average rejects (12% over last 10min)

I'm using pool1.us.multipool.in:7777
relevant settings: 19 intensity,  gpu-threads 1, worksize 256, thread concurrency 24000, 1050/1500 core/mem (1x7950)
rest is default (cgminer 3.4.2)

I'm not really sure what's going on with DGC, we're also getting tons of orphans.

When I disabled it I said it was only for 48 hours as a test.

And what did the test reveal? Wasn't the profitability that much better without it?

I have LTC balance I need to add/clear for withdrawal.    LTC favours slower ping times over the fast block coins, so some will prefer more then others

It was definitely better without LTC.

Because that's what I said I was going to do.  Over longer time periods it should even out, anyway.

I'm currently looking for ways to decrease our LTC variance, but I've run into a few roadblocks.

Flound, you may want to keep a close eye on MEC, and maybe even disable it for a little while:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=240861.msg3141858#msg3141858
Emergency Fork Recall.

Stop mining now.

Will explain after an instant fork (not block 63,005) a few hours later.

Hardly noticeable, damage should be minimal, but must be fixed.  Smiley

-Kimoto

Should I turn off the pool?  Shocked

Hey ethought! Yes just for a bit.

All www.miningpool.co Megacoin stratum servers have been switched off until further notice...

MEC has been removed from Cryptsy so yes it should be disabled.

I have almost completed a new view of Multipool that is a streamlined view of content for desktop, tablet, phone of mining statistics.  Combination of feeds from Multipool and Cryptsy since Multipool alone doesn't feed the coin to BTC values in their JSON.  Something I've been using for a while to get a simpler view of the data.  Does basically three things:

  • Shows coins you have matured in Multipool and at the end the total value in BTC
  • Takes each miner and consolidates if a miner is mining multiple coins, into a single hashrate display for each miner instead of listing a single miner three times if it's mining three coins across cards
  • Summary of number of miners, overall speed, current pool mining, list of what you are mining

Is this something people would be interested in using if I made the URL public?  I'm finishing up some adaptive CSS for it now.

Thanks.

Should we be mining LTC?  Not sure we have the hash power to easily find blocks.
