Does becoming a parent changes the gambler?

This are the reason why some gambler leave the gambling scene once they got married.  But most of these gambler simply does not care about their family.  They can only think of winning even thought hey will not win.  I had witnesed this kind of scenario in my community where the  husband does not really care if his family will have something to eat or not.

Thats too harsh mate. The gamblers are humans after all. They deserve to lead a happy life - which is why we have places where addicted gamblers who are now above addiction provide help to others like any other peer group where such one-to-one interaction would take place.

Again it is true that not every gambler would want to change their ways. Most of them are happy the way things are going. If the wife takes care of everything then the husband would start being reckless. However its important as a human to intervene and try to help them out in case you witness such in real life.

I think yes. Becoming a parent will make them more responsible for their life and they will save their money for their children instead of wasting them in some casinos. Being a parent is a good experience for all of us because it does not change our mindset but also our life

Precisely.But it's really hard to be a good parent somehow.The lifestyle we used to do while we're still single will just change in a sudden.And we should nothing to do with it but change for the better.Or else all your bad habits like gambling will be absorbed by your kids thinking that it will bring them good also.Kids are very keen observers so as a parent,we should be extra careful with what we have shown to them since we are considered models for them.

I think i agree with you guys because parenting comes with responsibility and so whoever be it the man or woman after becoming a parent tries to shun off some irresponsible attitudes which hitherto would have allowed and so i think in a way it will affect the gambling life of any gambler who becomes a parent.

Shit load of responsibilities bro. By the time you start thinking of all the expenses, the bills you have to foot, the children starting school all the way through till they get to their adulthood and capable of taking care of themselves, you will really be very careful of the way you just blow money into some insensible things most of the time and even if you want to gamble at all for the fun of it, you will still find a way to limit it.

These responsibilities are the best treatment for the gamblers. Beside this nothing can cure this gambling disease. When the gambler faces responsibilities of life, they give more time to their responsibilities which mostly include the responsibilities of family members and less time to gambling. There must be present some gamblers who after facing responsibilities become much more addicted to it.

Dealing with more responsibilities if being serious to take the charge will give your mindset to be diverted, if you truly love your wife and the fruit
of your love, you will be able to change the directions of your lifestyle, it will bring true manhood to you and for sure gambling is not the first option
but to find much stable and decent job.

There would be a lot of factors concerning a parent who would have a kid, but in my opinion, it would be really life-to change. I don't have a child yet but thinking about it, my priorities would change, especially when you talk about your child and the schooling and necessities that you child needs would be the first one. There would be no time to gamble and in everything, the best part of life would be having a family, not gambling. 

As for your friend, I hope he does well with his child in the future. Probably be like close friends and gamble together. That would be fun.

Gambling may not be a hereditary trait of course.But if you want to make a model to your future sons and daughters,better to stop gambling anymore.So he did only the right thing.Parenting could be somehow difficult at first but i know it will be learned.Yes it's really a life-changing experience.Hard but fulfilling inside.

Not all parents gamble will rub off on their children, and if you are worried about it, you can educate it well from childhood to adulthood with positive or religious. controls for their activities so there is nothing negative and do not let your kids go wrong to socialize. and if you're still gambling, try keeping it a secret and do not let your child know it. it all depends on you and your child, and do not let that happen to your child and make your child useful for you and everyone for his life to be better than you

    It is all about how you do something! If you are sport bettor like I am, you enjoy in watching
games and bet on them than you will not have a problem with combining parenting and weekend
betting on sports. Only if you spend more money and time in casino rather than in your home you
will have many life problems.
    Becoming a parent changes every person, not just gamblers. That change is not really a change,
it is more about better understanding of the world around and setting up new priorities. Growing up
should make each of us more wiser, with getting a child is the same, that should make us wiser.
   Becoming a parent changed me, I think different now, wiser I would like to say, but my gambling
habits stayed the same. Becoming a parent did not changed me in a gambling way.

I think that's a personal and an internal decision to make. Gambling is a vice, it
doesn't really matter if your a parent or not. To some being a parent signifies a
more mature approach on things, I've known gambler who gave up such activities
to support and focus on family life, gambling in some other ways are entertaining
and a lucrative activity. But the addictive part of it can produce unwanted and
sometimes unpredictable financial and relationship problems. However there are
other that are really good with time management and they can incorporate gambling
with their schedule. I think personally it is matter of personal choice and a bit of
moderation and control somewhere in there.

Gambling has a direct role associated with becoming a parent. When the person becomes a parent, he has to face some responsibilities with him which will be remaining with him till the last breadth of the person. Also the person who has become a parent would not play more than one or two gambling games in casino or at any other place on the world. It’s obvious that if the person has become a parent, he will automatically become mature.
