This guy scammed me of $70 in relation to my thread about buying Amazon Gift Cards

Then we started chatting on skype

I sent him $70 on thursday and he promised to give me $100 worth of agc in 24-36 hours.

Still nothing so by saturday I had enough and asked for a refund and he has been making one lame excuse after another

i am very sorry for your lost, but its your  fault man, you must be clever then scammers and you mustnot let let them scam you.

i dont understand, why you persuade him, that hill be pay you your loan in 24-46 hours with almost 50%  interest? its just a fairytale, also he has just member rank and his acc dont worst anything

And people shouldnt be afraid to ask. In something like this, I would always recommend doing escrow and always avoid taking it outside the forum. While I understand people like to do things privately in pm, exchanging in conv should sometimes always be in public.

And many more which are not listed there which are less trusted, scammers don't get banned but get negative feedback if they prove that they are scammer.

It is probably best to avoid buying giftcards altogether, so many people here have been ripped off by these on the forums. Escrow won't protect you in these transactions as it may be days, weeks or months later that the giftcard is discovered as fraudulent - the buyer is on the hook. The small amount you might save is not worth the massive risk.
