The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

This said the project cannot continue to be financially beaten down by a few greedy humans because this is not economically sustainable for the developers

I guess the shitty liquidity and thin order book wasn't paying off as it used too, lets dump our coins and come out with an excuse that we provided 0 proof. Bag holders for sure will believe what ever he says.

If vcash was actually good it wouldn't matter who owned what, 30% owned by a group. What about the other 70% and the million of bitcoins out there? They own all that too...

Just another shitcoin, is his name actually John Connor? From the Terminator lol?

The fact that Roger Ver and Barry Shillbert were on this boat already should tell you this was a ridiculous pump and dump operation. The way the coin was designed was clear that it would create a gigantic bubble at the beginning, and if the developers didn't see it then they are idiots. Now we will have unlimited inflation... great, who is going to buy a token that keeps losing value? not me. I would short it, but I can't be bothered.

Strange the forum layout changed too, can't find the thread either. How surprising lol.

To sum things up:

The dev apparently has been watching the price for quite sometime and they came to a conclusion that someone owns 30% of the supply and has been controlling the price  basically whenever it pumps it gets dumped (I guess that never happens in crypto lol). Basically the dev is crying about the pumps not being 100x-1000x. So they proposed they either jump ship because they aren't making money from the pump and dumps or hard fork and get coins from every block mined. Prices got dumped (that never happens in crypto!) after the announcement which isn't surprising.

This is not the first big crash for VCash, although losing 50% value in such a short time is no joke.
Bagholders will prefer to hold and wait for a recovery, no matter how little hope there is.

A ~90 BTC dump caused the price to crash down to 2k satoshi. I don't get for what he's crying about, since XVC has pretty good price and buy support (currently ~126 BTC on Poloniex). The dev had plenty of chances to make money and I think he already did. Not sure what were the buy orders, but that dump has caused a big loss not only to the people previously bought Vcash, but to the dumper/s as well. Plain stupid.....

It was 25 btc buyorders before the crash. This is just someone holding the price up.

Maybe you're right, I'm not following XVC market. My assumption came from the screenshot below, though I can't tell what part of this volume were buys from sell orders:

XVC was ridiculously overvalued at $4,000,000 considering their "community" consists of about 10 people.
But it's been a great coin to trade all year... until it wasn't.

I had tears in my eyes yesterday when I send my coins to Poloniex. Wallet synched in 2 sec. After 1 confirmation coins were ready to be sold. This coin has amazing tech. It is heartbreaking. I cannot think of any other coin to invest in now. That's it. Thank you crazy crypto world !
