if that news will make a big impact with the current value for sure more and more people will be interested to go and invest as well if india will make certain moves we will see much bigger value this coming years lets hope for the best and continue to promote and introduce bitcoin to our friends and relatives.

Wisest option is for me current price-1000$. I don't see it going higher than that point, but I don't see it going much lower than the current price.

I have been looking at the price of the Bitcoin and it is obvious that the price keeps on rising. I was wondering what the price of the Bitcoin would be in 2017. If anyone can come up with a estimate..... Or vote in the poll. This is just a topic for debate.

your Poll has only one answer: Current Value - $1000
and anything else would just be wrong.

first of all we can never say these things for 100% but some things are clear. for example price will not be lower than $700 in a year from now assuming nothing horrible happens. so there is only up to go and also going up considering how price has changed in the last 2 years is not going to be some crazy number like $2500 all of a sudden (again if nothing horrible happens).

We are also heard about a news in paris that they added 20 stores accepting bitcoin as payment and i think it should has be impact that the price will increase more because more people right now knows about bitcoin and more stores will be added in other country it can be increase more the value of bitcoin. the adoption right now is increasing but we are halving a problem about the transaction speed the proper fee is not same because the transaction size is always different everytime you transact that already happen to me few days ago. unlike before that i have only 200kb+ size for every transaction before now i am experience to 1mb above..

I have voted for current-$1000, price may keep swinging at this range in next year also if there will be no any good announcement or events for bitcoin came up in 2017. Crossing $1000 will be really hard for bitcoin and i don't think it will be crossed by end of next year also.

According to my predictions, price bircoin will be easily reach $1,000 in April 2017, probably in the year 2017 bitcoin price will reach $1,200, and at the end of the year 2017 could reach $1,500. It may sound redundant, but a rise in 2016 already 300% from 2015.

Fluctuations in the current bitcoin ever increasing and many factors that cause the bitcoin prices rise. I am sure this will continue to last a long time until the end of 2017. But these rock solid stable prices may push further to reach there at any time imho.
Around 30 days bitcoin prices are holding above $700 price levels, it means its support levels are too strong to break upper resistances at $760 to $800 levels.
We need to remember here that last time bitcoin took less than 15 days to fly from $700 to $1000 levels.

Anyway, I  think it will more likely to cross 1k USD, with the Segwit and upcoming LN, even though there are lots of controversy in this update, Im sure bitcoin will be hyped and push the price pass to 1k USD, that is if there is no bad press to happen.

That's because people are either gamblers expecting insanely high price levels, or they are just troll voting. Polls here should never be seen as some sort of an indicator or prediction. Funny is that people are loud when their prediction is close to the reality, but at the time they are wrong (which mostly is the case), you don't hear anything from them anymore. Like it never happened.

My estimate, the price of the bitcoin could double from current prices i.e. range $1,500-$1,800. I am quite optimistic with these things, because the performance of the bitcoin during 2016 has already proven to be very good.

My choice is not in the poll. Many companies are accepting blockchain technology right now. I expect more and more will follow. 2017 is the year for bitcoin. At the first quarter of 2017 i think the price will rise up to $850 a piece. At the half, $950. And it will stabilize untill it reach the end of 2017.

Actually bitcoin price in the year of 2017 will not change as i can see in the article of pages or i just read them well i can't really say or them that the price of bitcoin in this year will be great as well this is just a prediction. But my real estimate price it will range into $900-$1000 USD Dollars only per coin.Let's just wait for this to happen

I voted for current value-1000, because this just seems realistic. We have seen btc 1000$ before and it is not very far from that now, so within the year it may get somewhere close to that. However, I don't think that it will go above this sum, because I just don't see any good reasons to believe in that.

Besides, we are at the $700 barrier and i think it is easy for the price to rise at $1000 a piece. It is gonna happen, bitcoin will reach $1000, already did - just not globally.
People were paying way above standard 'global' rate for BTC in India recently when Indian government decided to withdrawn 1000 and 500 rupee banknotes.
This move caused huge uproar and Indian citizens flocked to buy BTC, that caused price to go way up to $850.
Similar story happened in Nigeria a week ago - Bitcoin reached $1250 there.

It's likely that the price reaches this range, maybe even in the two thousand dollars range, but after a while, I believe there will be a phase of price correction, so the value can stabilize between $ 1000 and $ 1500, but it's still too early to be sure.
