I went ahead and put the P2Pool back up, everything should still work as it did before.
Bytecoin P2Pool
Decentralized Server Location: USA/California

Server Stats: http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152/static/

Use Stratum: -o stratum+tcp://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u <your_bytecoin_address> -p <random_password>
Non Stratum: -o http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u <your_bytecoin_address> -p <random_password>

Reducing DOA; Add +16 directly to the END of your WALLET address.
i.e. cgminer -o http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u 8FJg9N8J181VFjzw2eip4meZQTMzga4CXo+16 -p x

Just as a reminder, there are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

NOTE: If you're getting stratum auth error, be sure to use the --fix-protocol switch in your miners config.

Is this coin working okay?

It looks like it has possibilities except that almost half the coins are in one wallet. Most people pass on monopoly coins.

are you sure that's just one address and not overall statistics on bytecoin. I think the 2.5 million is just how many coins in total have been mined.

Cheers

You might be on the money with your post.

Block 48699 currently and 50 per block would make about 2434950 mined so far.

Hi,
The BARR project is launching a new coin based on NXT that is mined and distributed exclusively by exchanging it for "dying" altcoins. Elected altcoins are swapped for Barr by burning them. They just published a list of eligible and ineligible coins. BTE falls into the ineligible coins because no block explorer is available. Restoring the explorer would make BTE eligible for BARR swapping.
This would somehow cleanly recycle BTE by participating into the distribution of an innovative coin.
Interested anyone?

Interesting project but why would people throw away the one and only Bitcoin 1:1 copy of the old days?

just for the compare value alone
BTE needs to be kept alive and not "bite it"
will some one get this poor coin explorer ?

Current block 54,800. 400 blocks mined in 24 hours. Can someone calculate the current hashrate?

Maria.
