What's wrong is that they jist too damn many of them!  The number of people in crypro isn't rising nearly as fast as the number of coins that git shat out.  It's like diarrhoea city all up on Yobit if you been there lately.  Ain't nobody gonna use all them coins.  Ever.

If so you're yet another witness of the fact that coins have not progressed.

In fact they have gone backwards.

Crypto platforms have not progressed.

The USA has not progressed, now we had Obama and now we have Trump.

I've been to China in 2012, same parts now in 2016.  Everything looks and feels completely different.

because this humanity that you are talking about is only thinking about how they can progress the amount of money in their pocket not improving technology.
and the result is combination of 2-4 letters making a new name with the same code with small differences pump and dumping it every day.

Most of the shit coins you see are just copy/paste coins that some kids are pumping and hoping to earn a few bucks on unfortunate guys that invest in their scam coins. YoBit is exchange that adds a lot of that shit stuff so just don't look there if you don't really know how to differentiate them from potentially good ones or if you are new to altcoins overall.

Bitcoin is progressing and getting more adoption while other alts are just backed by some random company/person who will pump the price in few trading platform with their own money and dump all their coins to weak hands when there will be large volume for their coin.

All alts are just copy cat no any have offered different solution till now, that is major cause why other alts/crypto are not progressing forward along with greed of dev team.

Yes it is,and the latest one is Ebitz the dev scammed almost 150 BITCOIN before he was exposed but it was to late investors has put their trust on him,we really need to be educated on how to spot a scam projects ,they keeps getting better and they learn a lot on how to set up scam projects..

Crypto currency is like the dot com bubble in the early 90s.
Tons of people are looking to make a quick buck and a HUGE bubble is forming.
A year or two from now there is going to be a crash and we will be lucky if more than three or four coins are left.

Everyone wants to take advantage of the popularity of cryptocurrency in general and bitcoin in particular and make money out of it. Those who have knowledge and skills create copies of already established and existing popular and valuable coins like bitcoin and others who don't have that much knowledge and also resources they by somehow quickly acquiring those coins and then selling them thus everyone wants to make money as soon as they can and before this cryptocurrency boom comes to an end. And that's why only, I guess, all these coins don't have a future and that's only what's wrong with them.

There has been some progress, but it can be hard to find when its not truly groundbreaking and buried in a sea of copy/paste, ICO scams and what not!

They can become the shit way for grab money. Some was offering his ico without any development and makes the coin have died. The instant way for grab money from the person.

There are issues· that's right, but where money is, there is fraud, and this is not easy to handle. But:

The issue is in your mind, you are making it a such a big deal while only less than 2 million people are involved with crypto you imagining the world and humanity is at stake.
Near 8 billion people on this planet and you expecting a little tech like crypto can do anything to help them as for projects in crypto be legit and not scams to avoid failure?

there is no problem with altcoins. the problem is in what people expect out of altcoins. when you expect moon and when you expect them to replace bitcoin this is what you get in return: your money lost.

I keep seeing the same thing every time. new people come in and start believing the hype thinking they are going to get rich if they buy into the bubble and keep holding the coins they have bough and meanwhile the whales dump on them to become more and more rich.

This happen every-time the value of BTC rise. I knew that today i can pull my order worth 9BTC of LISK on Poloniex but unfortunately theprice fell so bad that all my coins are deprecating.
